How do you convert seconds to microwave time?
let's say you have 60 seconds that would be 00:60 but if you have 61 seconds then it would be 01:01.

What's the wizardry /b/?

Should I buy Iraqi stocks and asset ?

I didn't know there were any companies in Iraq, much less publicly traded ones.
Where do you even buy Iraqi stocks?
>>
>>1581286

I'm in contact with one of the more stable Iraqi faction's representations (not daesh), probing to invest directly in infrastructure to connect the growing middle class to the larger European commodity market...

They are stuck so far up their own asses and so fucking corrupt, if you drop the ball just once you might end up with nothing to show for everything you put in. My liaisons are still trying to convince me but I am considering backing out, because short of a standing paramilitary force there is no way I can guarantee my claim on my investments.

I am now looking to China instead...

is there ONE good reason to move out of your parents house in 21st century unless you get a job that pays well?

Zero reason if you're not already making 60k+ net.

It's a great goal, but not while you're a min wage slave

Don't get fooled by the mortgage meme, marriage meme, or the student loan meme.

This are the modern day shackles or society

Also, your parents live you and you will miss them one day and they will be proud as long as you're actually trying to improve your finances instead if being a worthless neet.

This. As long as you're ACTUALLY trying to improve yourself, your parents should not mind because they don't want you wasting 60% of income for a place to sleep. Don't be a debt slave.

Hey, I'm a 19 year old guy in Europe going into university next fall. What should I study? I'm interested in finance but the business and economics (I think that's what you call it in the US) degree seems kinda shitty. People study for that one to get a job in accounting or something lame like that. I'm more interested in the stock market etc.

So what I want is to work with something that interests me and will have potential for a high salary. I looked into quantitative analysis and think that would suit me well, but it seems very hard to get into.

Any ideas?

>I'm more interested in the stock market etc.
Consider majoring in math with a minor (or double) in something useful like engineering. Always have a backup plan.
>>
>>1581221
This is good advice:
>>1581248
In my country people who work in the financial markets do economics (most of them), but you need a very solid base in math. So my advice would be to do some mix of business (or economics) and math (statistics). They are both important because its a good thing to have contacts, a major in business will help you with that.
>>
currently last year of an econ BA in a shitty EU uni.

a few points:

>a major chunk of my colleagues are gonna be in HR and accounting, with smaller numbers in marketing, insurance and banking
>as the others pointed out, applied math might be better. I'd check job listings for specifics
>There is a lot of statistics, which is good for you; there are masters data science courses being offered as well, which is right up your alley

that being said, I regret that degree and wish I studied microbiology or genetic engineering instead.

whatever you do, make SURE you want to do that (take a year off if you have to, nothing shameful about that) and do it hardcore dedicated from day one. Don't repeat my mistakes bro. This part is way, way more important than the specific uni and degree. A dedicated person from a mediocre uni is gonna do better than a smart guy who doesnt give a shit.

Case in point, one of my ex classmates graduated from Oxford with a massively demanded specialty, and is jobless and living with his parents for a year now. It's actually pathetic.

Oh, Erasmus is super cool. do it. WAT is a very good chance to get a head start on your savings, I regret not doing it every year, I'll do it this summer tho.

I don't think the bar one is really stupid, you pay for the service, environment etc. I like having a drink at home but if I want to do it with a friend or a few I'd much prefer going to a bar, makes it more of an occasion and I'd happily pay the mark up

If you have 10 million dollars and the lottery jackpot is worth 500 million, would it be wise to spend all your money on lottery tickets?
I mean you're pretty much buying every lottery ticket on the market. That means there's a great chance you'll win the jackpot, right?
8 posts and 1 images submitted.

You’d have to spend $584,402,676 to buy all of the possible combinations.

>>
>>1581048
Better hope you don't have to split it. Or get paid lump sum less than total amount of winning. Also, ten million will not come close to assuring you a win. You have no idea how the lottery works.
>>
>>1581051

And figuring the insane tax on lottery winnings + chance of splitting with even 1 other person makes it an awful idea

Are you the Woz or the Jobs? (Steve that is)
Walt Disney or Ub Iwerks?
Miuccia Prada or Patrizio Bertelli?
Gavin McInnes or Shane Smith? (did the third guy actually do anything?)

I'm sure there's like a thousand others example.

It seems like many great companies started because there was a Genius - be them an amazing technician like Steve Wozniak or Ub Iwerks, or a font of creativity like Miuccia Prada who's career didn't really go anywhere until they found a business partner who could market their skill.
>That's right, Walt Disney was a terrible draughtsman.

I'm definitely more the Jobs.

Somebody once said that the best thing Steve Jobs designed, was his own career, and the second, literally, in redesigning Apple as a business.

I remember reading a quote from, I think it was the main executive or whatever of General Motors, and he was saying how he would hear about some new thing, and suddenly want to know everything about it, then lose interest as quickly if it became too technical, but he said that's what made him such a great executive -
He was happy to employ and pay somebody, then guide them, and get out of the way so they can get on with it.
I realized after many failed attempts, I don't have the stamina to 'go deep' on a subject, especially once it gets too STEM-like.

The Woz wasn't whiplashed into working for Jobs, he would have tinkered with computers no matter what, so Jobs just made sure he could get Paid for it, Woz was never gonna get organized like that. Even Atari cucked him out of bonuses. He needed someone like Jobs. Woz said in many interviews his job title never changed from 'engineer' or whatever it was, because he never really cared, and neither did his salary matter much, he just felt lucky to be getting paid at all for doing something he would have done as a hobby anyway.

He can't even take his eyes off that contraption in the OP's photo for a photoshoot, for fuck's sake!

How do you explain an employment gap /biz/?

I was smart at university with loads of scholarships and stuff but there's a one year employment gap afterwards where I basically became a bum before finding some retail estate work.

I find in all my interviews with financial companies that im being asked about this gap, but can't answer adequately. I clearly have the potential desu so I don't know why they care I took some time out on daddies money.

Because people who do that are subhuman?

Just say you had a family member who needed help for a while. If they ask what they needed help with just tell them that you're not really willing to discuss someone else's private life without their consent.

If I have nothing but a house and 5 million in cash, what could go wrong if I put all that cash in an index fund?

I read here that we shouldn't save our money in a bank because bank interest rates can't keep up with the inflation rate so where should I save the money that I'll be making with the index fund, assuming I won't spend all that I get from it?

What's the best way to start a index fund? Vanguard?

Find sluts on Tinder and pay them to fuck you on camera.
Then post the videos on Pornhub.
>>
>>1580858
Smart, I like it. By posting up on PH where would it go from there? Couple questions though..

- How much would be reasonable for the average slut to do that type of thing? I'm pretty likable but they definitely will try and get a price out of me unless I sneak tape it(would sneak taping it cause any legal issues in the long run if I were to get into this career?)

- Would a rep from PH eventually contact me or would I try to get into contact with them?
>>
>>1580859
I think Pornhub has an affiliate program. Figure out what they pay and then decide what's a reasonable cut for a performer/co-star.

Also, if you shoot it PoV, keep your fucking mouth shut. So many PoV vids are completely ruined by the guy groaning and whispering "ohhhhhh fuck yeah" directly into the mic every 10 seconds.
