I live 40 mins away from Detroit.

These homes aren't worth it. They are in the middle of a dangerous ghetto, so good luck reselling. Plus, all the walls, plumbing, floors are all fucked and need serious replacement. There will likely be shit stains everywhere and maybe even a dead crack addict inside. You will pay $10k in property tax.

At my Alma Mater they introduced a new policy where after I think 5 years, students could buy back the rights to any copyrighted or patented material they share with the University.

Get a boilerplate NDA written up and start meeting with as many people who have the facilities you can.

I have 2 websites, one is for my business and my other is for personal work (though I get business through both of them).

I use Squarespace for my business website, though I purchased the domain for a much lower price at godaddy..

I used to use Squarespace for my personal website but I decided I wanted t try something lower cost with some more basic/modern templates, I am now using Format and also find it very good.

Squarspace is by far the best option fr building a business website (IMO) it gives you everything you need, templates are great with a huge amount of flexibility and custmizability, cusmer service is really good (though I find Format just as good, maybe even better). Blog content and ecommerce is all built in, you can track analytics, customise SEO and a whole bunch f other shit.

No coding required at all, unless you want to stray from the templates (though again, the templates are very customizable with no effort required).

The downsides are the cost, though its worth it for my business.. I will add that I find the SEO from Squarespace to be excellent, but my sites content is created to make my site an SEO monster anyway, plus I get alot of traffic.

Format is also good, though my personal site is A LOT more basic, I would be more comfortable making a business site with Squarespace. The templates are customizable but are not as flexible as SS, and the features arent as polished (like having t check your analytics with google as opposed to having it all built in).

For a business I would honestly recommend Squarespace, from what I understand a few other /p/hriends also use the service and recommend it though you will pretty much only find positive reviews online anyway. If its for a business you should be able to afford the cost.

As an example- If your site is mainly informational I would charge an estimated $1500 for completion within one month. Ongoing costs would start at $20/mo for a very low traffic site and scale up as you do.

K here's what you gotta do. Go figure out what you need to do to buy auctions of storage units. This, yard sales, estate sales and chink shit are all good.

Take this shit and rent a space at a flea market. My flea market sells covered outdoor tables for 14 dollars a day. Sell shit for 3x what you bought it for. SELL EVERYTHING. Find out what everything is worth in your area so you know what to pick up from yard sales in the future. If you lose money on some items it doesn't matter because you learn the market.

Look around you; find the permanent businesses that specialize in a certain product. Undercut what their prices are and they will most likely be interested in buying your stock. For example go buy dvd's at yard sales for under a dollar a piece and load them off on a dvd specialist for half their price. This can be done with almost anything, knives, games, dvd's, or even food.

Now this is chump change, but its a way to get started and find your market. Then comes they money making part. Put up a buy sell trade sign. Start buying shit you know you can sell for a quick buck. Games on ebay, books on amazon and offer store credit to buy that random stuff you picked up earlier.

If you can't make 400+ a day doing that then you shouldn't be trying to start a business.

I own a dry carpet cleaning business on the side. It's just me and the property managers text me when and what units. I do probably 6-800 apartments a year and a hundred houses. If you aren't a fucking loser and are good at talking then you can get majority of property managers in your area. Plus I can do it cheaper than wet carpet cleaners cause it's just me.
