ok /biz/lads here's the situation.

Currently, I am starting a clothing business with a choke me daddy dutch bitch. She's a beast designer. Only problem is that we can't think of a name and she doesn't like the idea of "Mofje", which translates to "the little Nazi".

Do you blokes think having an edgy name like that is a good marketing strategy? It'll get attention. She's worried people will get offended but I don't really give a fuck.

What do you lads think?

Het is ook zo'n wollig ding wat je om je handen doet i.e. een kledingstuk, dat weet je toch?

So many of these meme startup companies would be making huge profits right now if only they didn't release their apps and websites for free.

They've effectively conditioned most people to expect things in life for free so its too late for any of them to start charging for their services now.

How do you balance reading fiction and nonfiction, writing, working hard in order to get rich, your scientific / technical self education, exercising, social life, outdoor experiences, and internet browsing / current events reading?

I feel guilty for doing literally anything because I'm not doing other shit.

I haven't even decided yet whether hard work is self cucking (on the existential level) or not.

This is something I think about all the time.

I believe it comes down to compounding.

Learning a skill set that is synergistic, frequent small achievements, cutting out wasteful activities, always trying to kill 2 bird with one stone, etc

Example. Want to hang out? Ok, meet me at the gym.

This is why living on passive income should be top priority.

How do I budget? I was NEET for over a year, clueless and reliant on mommy and daddy for tendie money. Now I have a comfy part-time job at Books-A-Million. I enjoy the work and the small paycheck I am getting, but how do I resist blowing all my money right away?

My goals are:
Save for car $2000
Save for new laptop $700
Save for monthly cellphone bill $45/month
Ideally, have $1000 saved in bank for "emergency money" and general savings

However, I am constantly tempted. I want to pick up new books (big reader), new clothes to look sharp despite already having a large wardrobe, xbox and games (never had one, longing for one for years), and so on. I am scared I will lose my money if I don't maintain self-control.

I already eat out very little and usually with my parents so they pay for restaurant bills. I do not have a car yet, so no gas bill or insurance. I have a home gym so no gym fee. I tried using an online budget app to track my spending but I want to make the next push.

tl;dr how do I not waste my new wagiebux as a reformed NEET? need to save money for life goals

I'm not really sure what you are looking to be told.

The only way to save money is to avoid spending it.

Create a system and stick with it; there is plenty to of information out there about how to create a budget.

you don't need all those things

what kind of shitty car you get for $2k? better spend that money for bike or nothing

what kind of shitty laptop you get for $700?
Better spend it for refurbished business laptop for fraction of money

why would you pay mobile operator jew any money when you have internet

are you avid reader? that's great because you can warez more books than you will be able to process in your lifetime

I am member of a very powerful think tank that influences governments around the world.

Give me ONE good reason why I shouldn't recommend completely scrapping the minimum wage to put into action next year.

So far the minimum wage has been terrible for my clients because it has hit their profit margins. Low profit margins = low economic growth.

You may now begin your arguments.

>Low profit margins = low economic growth

Did you blow in from stupid town or what?

Economic growth is consumer spending + government spending + business investments. Low profit margins has nothing to do with growth. Corporate profit margins are at an all time high and the stock market is in a long bull market, yet the economic growth is very small. Companies are sitting on more cash than they ever have before. They aren't investing it. They aren't investing, they aren't growing the economy. They're too greedy and risk averse. Wages are also at an all time low. Companies are paying employees less than they ever have as a share of GDP. The less consumers make, the less they have to spend, starving the rest of the economy of revenue growth. Fewer Americans are employed than at any time in the past three decades, because of what corporations call "efficiency" leading to less consumers, less consumer spending, and less economic growth.

In short, the obsession of high profit margins does nothing but slow the economy.

Somebody better at investing than me, I have a question:

Considering the risks involved, why would I ever put a dollar into a 2x LETF instead of just borrowing a dollar and putting both into an ETF?
11 posts and 4 images submitted.
>>
>>1589481
Wot
>>
Just calculate your how much it will cost you to repay your loan vs the performance gain of the non leveraged ETF compared to the 2X, my guess is they wouldn't be far off if you take into account that you have actually borrowed money which you have to return
>>
>>1589481
some of the leveraged etf's have compouninding daily returns. surely you can understand the fiduciary benifit of that.

along with the mitigated risk of the abscence of margins calls, aligned with the fact that some of them are trading risky futures underneath while sheilding you from the risk.

So thought of a new app idea that has no real competition in the market.

I've listened to many people and finally realized how what they said connects to make this app perfect. Millions would use it.

How could I go about starting an app. Do I need to start a company/LLC. Are there easy tools to use to code it? Could I just sell this idea to a big app and let them run with it?

Where do u even start?

Could literally make some serious money with it but no knowledge of the app industry.

>TFW when did economics and got a decent paying job instead of CS and implementing my idea.

Any one doing apps? Can u give me a quick run down of your start to launch?
6 posts and 1 images submitted.
>>
I've never developed an app, but my questions are:

>Is this app local, or does it need a server?
>Is there an architecture, API, or back-end which you can re-purpose or do you need to develop this app and platform from the ground up?
>Is it dependent on building a community or is it's functionality independent of how many users it has?
>If it's the former, how do you intend to build that community? What's the tipping point?
>If it's the latter - what's to stop someone else copying your app and running you out of business?
>Who is your 'ideal customer' even if every Tom Dick and Harry will use it, which one do you need to convince so every other Tom, Dick, and Harry uses it? Who's your first customer?
>>
>>1589463

Interesting points of interest ill look into them.

Might just fork up some money on a developer program for coding dummies.

I can already vision its architecture / branding / marketing and retention in my head. Its mainly just getting it out there.
>>
The idea is worth nothing if you cant implement it. Best thing to do is to get a coding buddy on the team, make a prototype and then get big investors, who will take a huge part of your business for the risk. But hey, if its worth 10 billion sometime im happy with 10% shares. beter than 100% of nothing

I am sick and tired of biz becoming the stomping ground for r9k users. Something fruitful
Criterias:
>>Anything below $3> do not list
>>NO dogcoins, bitcoins, shitcoins, trollcoins
>>It's ok to just provide a stock by itself without explanation but it would be highly appreciated
>>leave ebay flipping, or snarky comments on how better to use those funds out, we get it you get it, but we don't care and will stick to muh stocks
>>Leeching is fine AS long as it concern stocks, none of that poor pleb begging for entrepreneur ideas

That aside: Here's some of my assumptions:

Global consumer data is going to be dismal, will be seeing that sometimes November.

DB and DBK (worst offender) will not fail this year, we got shilled, time to move on

Energy might or might not also go up due WINTERISCOMINGHODOR with help of a strong dollar. And dollar will probably remain strong due I have a strong inclination that banks will sour their own data to force Yalen to chicken while Eurobucks, Yuan, will all slip various reason or the other. Yen is a joke -> . <-

Some of my current portfolio:
ORCL (Stable, the lack of volatility plus reasonable performance is a comfort stock for me)
XLE (ETF Oil, yes energy but we know it's oil, energy hype, I'm too insecure to not invest in) VDE (ETF Oil, same)

FRA:DBK (Fresh off the dead cat, going to dump soon, learner from DB:AG back September )
GSLC (GoldmanSachs Equity Frankenstein, volatile but surprisingly predictable, as always, sell before drop, duh)
CVX (Overvalued piece of crap, but running on hype, will sell soon)

Fed rate decision nov 2

There are national banks here trading shares for less than $3. That rule is dumb m8. Anyone have any shares they want analysed?
>>
>>1589474
>That rule is dumb m8
Not at all.
It's not to say you can't profit from OTC/cheap stocks, but anything that low priced is far more subject to manipulation and wild volatility, plus the added risk of collapse.
You're much safer with higher priced stocks that are listed on a major exchange as well.
