>Work at Sears
>Not great job but it's getting me through college
>My only condition on taking the job was not to work Sundays so I'd have a day to spend with my family/gf, as well as to catch up on schoolwork from previous week
>Check schedule for upcoming week
>10-hour shift on Sunday.
Should I call horseshit and request they call in someone else, or keep my head down?
Call bullshit. Get the day off and take care of your life. Save all your work sacrifices for when you're at a place relevant to your career.

Be a man/woman/helicopter and ask your boss why and remind them what you said. It could have been an honest mistake.
>>1592019
>Sears
Chances they can get someone else. Best case scenario is you get fired and work some where better.
I dropped out of high school and have no GED, terrible at math, grammar is alright, but I need to know: Is there any hope of getting a job without a GED now?
I don't even know where to get a job, who do you go to? Who do you ask?
>>1591993
you should go to r9k
>>1591995
I wasn't entirely sure where to post this.

time to flip burgers and chew bubble gum.
Also if you want just apply to mass amount of low skilled jobs like anything, and just label the nearest high school as your high school and a class year Trolloloollol
What's /biz/s opinion on IOT?
I never see threads about the investment opportunities.
And just yesterday the world's largest producer of NFC chips was acquired by Quallcom
And no mention of it
Why? I feel like IOT is one of the biggest frontiers available but no hype

Have you checked out Samsung's household products? Very cool stuff. Checking the contents of your fridge while at the store is pretty cool. The problem is this stuff is very expensive, it will take a while to catch on. A fridge lasts many, many years. It's hard to convince many people to throw away something that works perfectly fine in favor of new technology.
>>1591970
Yes I'm aware of this
But I think in the next 10 years the real money to make is in business to business transactions not consumers.
Things like micro chips in transit to help track supply chains
Connectivity in heavy equipment to ensure they get parts replaced when they need them. Not too late or too early.
These businesses would make money selling their products to other businesses in the immediate future.
There are definitely major problems limiting their exposure to the consumer market at present such as the lack of connectivity in some areas and the logistics of powering devices which are more mobile such as wearable tech. But I feel like long term investment in these businesses which really adopt this technology is a safe bet.
Companies like Samsung, Quallcom or Alphabet Inc
Hey, whats the official biz discord? heard about it, that there is a lot of usefull information etc, like money4anon, papa anon etc. Never found the discord. Anyone who can help me here?
THanks!
>>1591855
The people on the discord won't want you there if you haven't lurked on this board enough to find it. Lurk on the board more, learn more about /biz/, then when you find the discord you will be ready.

Any help with this?
>Zcash peaked at $3,600 USD today
>over $5 million was traded at these prices
>Zcash is now worth $17 USD
W T F did I just witness
>>1591763
Just people manipulating the price to trick people into buying in higher than it's worth.
>>1591763
You want to really get your mind blown? It didn't trade at 3600 usd... it traded at 3600 BITCOINS.
2.2 MILLION FUCKING DOLLARS PER COIN
WHAT
THE
ACTUAL
FUCK
>he didn't buy the future at 1.6 and sell at 8
> want to steal from the poor
> the poor don't have any money
pic unrelated
What's the solution?
>>1591746
The poor have enough money to steal
One of the main reasons some people are poor is they keep pissing it away on stupid shit
>>1591749
So you're saying those stupid freaks who live paycheque to paycheque are walking piggie-banks? How do I get in on poverty dollars? Liquor? Drugs? High interest loans?
>>1591755
Invest in a convenience store. Seriously. They sell alcohol, scratch lottery tickets, and cigarettes, which are all the things that the poor piss their money away on. They also have a huge markup on groceries, which is funny because only poor people buy groceries at convenience stores.
The poor are really fucking dumb and deserve to be exploited.
Would it be shameful to go and move back in with my parents for a year or so.
If you have a job and hoard your schekels go for it.
>keep in mind its like having roomates that you cant argue with even when you are right.
>>1591608
Of course not. I moved out a few years ago and never thought I would come home. Recently, all of my roommates moved far away and so I moved back home while I looked for a new place. Stayed almost 6 months. If I could turn back time I'd live with my parents more, probably spent about $30k on rent over the years just so I could say I was independent. If you have a good relationship with your parents, live home. Help with things around the house though, buy groceries, don't be a burden.
>>1591608
Speaking from experience here:
If you are unemployed and not still in college, you will feel like a giant piece of shit every second you're there, the depression eats you up before you know it.
If you're working then all good, save dem shekels and go get somewhere nice after
But if not, spend every waking second applying and networking or you'll regret it
So in all of my business school classes I hear socks this, socks that, everyone wants to talk about socks. I don't get it. Is it because everyone wears them? Is it the perfect product? It sounds like every business makes socsk, and now I am hearing this thing "sock options", can anyone tell me what it means please? Is it more than one choice of sock?
>>1591549
>the sock exchange
>>1591563
is this where i can buy socks?
Always buy socks and ponds
Let us seriously consider this.
Assange claimed today that the next Wikileaks will 100% lead to the arrest of Hillary. (Check the RT video on youtube for source)
The FBI is reopening the investigation on her emails.
Many polls showed her falling down, polls which were already oversampled.
Currently, I can get a 11/4 win on Trump getting the presidency.
$7500 from a $2000 bet.
I've seen people on here rushing to worse bets on cryptoshit and penny stocks.
Thoughts?
Not gonna happen.
Register on paddypower. Get your 100€ bonus. Bet 200€ on Shilary and get your 38€. I think that's the best it's gonna get.
>thinking that if something happens to hillary trump will win
Kaine would win in an even larger landslide than Clinton, since he'd get all the no-shows and third party voters who hate both candidates.
>>1591538
From how you type I can tell you're a yuro, most likely a brit, and are just an outsider looking in.
If you're comfortable losing that kinda money then go for it.
Reminder that /pol/ thought Romney would win. FYI going into election day, Obama and Romney were virtually tied according to polls, right now most polls have Trump trailing by 3-5 points.

what if you could make it as thin as a razor? what would you call it...
Yes, we're doing this again, yes, we'll probably suck, but it's a cool little event and we did well in Spring (and terrible in Summer).
>What the hell is this?
Video Game Football using Pro Evolution Soccer 2016. Each board gets a team, those teams play each other in four tournaments per year. Summer and Winter host the Elite cups for the top 32 teams, while Spring and Autumn host the babbies, where the 16 worst teams from the previous elite cup and 16 other boards compete to try to win entry to the next Elite.
>Where does /biz/ fit into this?
It's been up and down for /biz/ since the first cup we participated in in Autumn 2014. For the first time, in Spring this year we qualified for the Summer elites... where we were promptly relegated back to Autumn.
>Where/when does this take place, and when does /biz/ play?
The regular "Group Stages" are going to take place at this time Friday, Saturday, and Sunday for the next two weeks. After that, there'll be a knockout weekend Saturday and Sunday, with the final planned for the end of November 13th.
/biz/ is in Group D, which means the end of the 1st, 3rd, and 5th match days. That group is scheduled to start at 4:00 PM EDT, but expect it to be closer to 5-5:30 with delays:
10/28 - vs. /vg/
10/30 - vs. /sp/
11/5 - vs. /tg/
More information and a link to the matches can be found at implyingrigged.info, along with my contact details if you have any questions. I'll try to replay to anything here, as well.
>>1591366
So if I understood correctly, what you are saying is that we need a new logo for the 2016 games?
How are the games played? Completely simulated? Are they streamed?
>>1591382
Completely simulated, streamed on Hitbox but I think the link gets spamblocked. If you go to the wiki link the stream is on the front page.
>>1591373
It's a little busy, but it's been around since the team was first created 2 years ago. Maybe it could use an update after this tournament, I don't know.
