What textbooks have the greatest 'buyback' value online? Or how would I find this out besides checking every one?
>>1596143
I'll help you with a bump
>>1596023
STEM of course.
Do millennials even use paper textbooks anymore?
How much traffic do you need to earn decent money from ads?
Could be a silly question but I have a site with 1,700 views in the first month and growing. Should I bother monetising it? Or would it be so low to not bother?
Bump, anyone know about this shit?
>>1595984
probably worth $5
>>1596038
$5 per month Orr??
Be honest with me guys, anyone here has really gained some money trough trading stocks?
Like Robinhood?
I want to know if there's a hope in becoming rich trough stocks trading
I've lost about $40 so far, but that was mostly because Amazon dipped badly last week, it's on an up now. I'm very much a new investor, only about two weeks so far. Come hang out in the Robinhood general. >>1591378
>>1596069
Oh, that sounds bad.
Thanks for the link
>>1596075
It's only a temporary loss, though. Amazon will bounce back right to where it was and make long term, slow gains. It's a safer stock. There are ones that make more money faster if you buy and dump quick, but that needs some experience, which I still lack. Don't let that deter you, give this some consideration.
Robinhood is a great way to go, though. You can experiment and learn with cheap stocks since there are no broker fees.
I can't stand it anymore. I need money to finance my artistic projects or there is no purpose in living.
Suggestions?
>>1595976
Try r9k
What's the matter, get knocked back by the Art School adolf?
>>1595976
Go to events, socialize *in person*, real time shilling is important.
You're hoping you will be noticed by some art dealer that can sell your art. Probably as a money laundering method.
Small chance of succeeding, you'll have a better chance if you get an actual design job. Like web design or a job in the design industry.
Newsflash:
> art is dead
Also post pics of your art projects.
Has your college age alcohol and weed use decreased your abilities to be a successful business man?
Did these activities decrease the speed your brain calculates and understands complex financial issues?
I'm asking this because I noticed my nerdy friend that would never go out to clubs, drink or chase girls during college is now an incredibly successful business person while I doing pretty average.
It has a lot more to do with your habits. For example while you're masturbating to and saving pictures of used up old whores he's reading/working/doing something to advance his career.
>>1595970
More like this.
I'm 420ing my way through life, always fucking high on something and I've been an "entrepreneur" for the past 3 years. Sometimes doing meetings high as fuck, with no pants on. Last year I made over 75k just from doing this.
It's more about habit. That guy didn't get no pussy, didn't get no fun, no experience so he has absolutely nothing of value to say. IMO It's better to have a great life, a great story to tell, have wisdom and experience so then business-wise your experience will help you see clearer. That's my two cents.
I'm a shitty entrepreneur, but at least I'm living well, have no boss, etc. I can't say I'm the next PILL BATES though.
So I have a few dozen of grand in my PayPal account.
Would like to know how to invest them.
For a short while you could make PayPal deposits at some brokers and buy ETFs.
Then PayPal decided they don't want to allow brokers.
So right now:
- You cannot buy cryptos;
- You cannot buy ETFs;
- You cannot buy gold.
What the hell can you buy with PayPal except stuff eBay and internet shops?
I'm interested in investments, things that will make me money. Sure I can buy some domain names, but there I have to put a lot of work in to make them profitable. I'm talking about stuff like ETFs, index funds, maybe some other ideas?
And no, I won't withdraw to my bank, because then I have to explain the bank and all the institutions where money came from. Circumventing them is the key.
>>1595893
How did you even end up with this much in PayPal? I believe there are exchanges where you can buy bitcoin with PayPal, which you should be able to much more with, but the fees you'd be paying are kind of insane.
>>1595894
>How did you even end up with this much in PayPal?
But working.
> I believe there are exchanges where you can buy bitcoin with PayPal
There aren't. It is against the rules. And I had found a way to do it and did do it. So now I have plenty of Butts, but I don't want more Butts for now. I want other types of investments.
Also, what more can I really do with Butts? Nobody accepts them anyway. If I want to buy something online I will just pay with PayPal.
It is not like I can buy a car, a house, an apartment with Buttcoin or PayPal. I considering buying some Rolexes, but that is more luxury shit I don't really need (I already have bought plenty of). I need to INVEST it. For a while you could do it at some brokers, but PayPal disabled this feature for some reason (you can't buy ETFs anymore with it).
It really sucks.
Maybe magic the gathering cards like Black Lotus?
I went to apple to replace an ipad that was under warranty. Well the black guy who worked there said we'll replace it but we don't have it in stock right now, we'll email you when it comes. So then I go and check apple's website and click buy on the same ipad, and pick it up. It says 'in stock, pick it up today.'
So is apple's policy really to just lie to your face like that?
>>1595760
> Well the black guy
kek
is this b8
>>1595760
He might not have been lying. Perhaps it is their policy to keep x ipads in stock for sale to customers only and when replacing warrantied equipment they are not allowed to use ipads in stock, but have to order another one separate from the sale stock.
>>1595767
yep I just looked it up and saw that apple keeps 'brown box' ipads in stock for replacements, that are different from their display stock. so basically a bunch of jewery. they are being hit with a class action over this practice.
Let's say I want to bet on a Trump victory.
Which assets should I buy tomorrow? Gold? Biotechs? Shorting S&P500?
Trumpcoin will rule all soon.
why not just place a bet?
>>1595727
Why trumpcoin?
If my PayPal account goes negative because some buyer scammed me what will happen if I just don't pay it back? And never use PayPal again? It's about 400$ I'm at a lost for.
>>1595721
read the fucking terms ans conditions
they can take legal action against you or send it to a collection agency
best to fight them before they charge you
>>1595721
>They sell the debt to a collection agency
>Collection agency gets judgement against you
>Your credit score goes to shit
>Liens are placed on your assets and your wages garnished.
I had this problem. Minus -150, didn't pay attention to it and didn't care either. After 8 weeks or so debt collection agency showed up lel
I'm thinking about pursuing arcitechture. Any /arcitecht/ here? What is this field like?
Its full of queers
No such thing as an architect anymore
Now you just have glorified interior designers
Architects are all complete useless shits
t. steel fabricator who deals with them every day
>>1595667
architect here, if you want money dont do it. for the education, hours and effort needed there are a lot of better jobs and better returns on the invested time and money.
It seems glamours to the public but the pay is 40k to start topping out 30yrs later at 90k unless you are in SF/NY maybe more but the cost of living is a bitch then.
we are first to be cut when recessions hit and we are only in demand when real estate is booming meaning we cant find/afford houses when our job prospects are at their best ironically.
>>1595949
You realize what a tiny tiny part of our jobs dealing with fabricators/suppliers is? you are clearly not well informed at the least and a giant cum guzzling fag in all likelihood.
>>1595953
>we are first to be cut when recessions hit and we are only in demand when real estate is booming meaning we cant find/afford houses when our job prospects are at their best ironically.
Yup. Architechs lifes are cyclical to their industry...
being a oil man is much worse.
What is the most prestigious job according to you ?
Doctor ?
Academia at a top tier university ?
Politician ?
>>1595569
Theoretical physicist professor
>>1595569
Engineer
Doctor obviously.
They guard life itself.
I'm lacking direction in life but I think I want to get into a finance job. I think I'm intelligent enough and I don't want to squander it by being an indecisive prick when picking my major. Any advice /biz/?
>>1595459
I'm in a similar boat except I'm graduating with a CS degree in December.
At some point I realized I don't want to be a code monkey and would rather work in finance or business, but I don't know where to go from here.
my ledger desu
>>1595466
the wonderful world of quants will be glad to have you
find quantitative trading firms, apply for jobs, get paid disgusting money for someone fresh out of college to watch code play the stock market
leave company for another once you find a better deal, skills carry over real easy and you've learned a bit about stocks now, so ur gonna find a less code-monkey job
develop actual marketable trading skills in new job
save money the whole time, live beneath means etc etc
stop wagecucking and go into business for yourself
Yeah, you're gonna need some work, but it's code work that directly relates to finance. You can pick it up bit by bit, save money, learn in your own time as well etc etc.
Hope you're good at interviews though.
fellow /biz/ards
At the moment I have a big decision to make for my further studies and I'm considering the following bachelors:
Economics
Finance
Digital Marketing
Entrepreneurship
Which one of these have the most potential in future (4-5 years)?
Which one of these should I go for?
>>1595236
Quad major brah
>>1595239
Why should I?
>>1595236
Finance or Econ if you want a good job, entrepreneurship has really high employment rate but it isn't specialist or quantative enough for a most good jobs.
How do I make a quick buck online?
buy Zcash
This is the most common myth about online revenue.
There's nothing quick about it.
>>1595138
Okay, well, then how do I make money online then?
>"Ask for a raise" rather then inform their employer that the price for their time and labor has gone up
>>1595045
How to get fired 101
>>1595049
It's more like you're refusing to do further business with that employer if they won't pay the new price. Don't give them power. You're not lucky to have a job, they're lucky to have you. You are a free man and you may set prices as you see fit for your time and labor, because it's YOUR time and labor. Just like you can't buy a product from a store without paying the price, you don't have to sell your labor if someone won't pay your price.
If you can't view your time and labor like this, and instead you're afraid of being "fired", you're a wagecuck.
>>1595045
Try getting a job before you start giving advice imo. Unless you're in a position of power, you'll just be laughed at or kicked out.
If I can get someone to do the same job as you with little to no training, it's a no brainer, you can quit if you like and you'll get a little push if you're an arrogant twat about it.
Also, don't forget that managers are human, and appealing to that side of their personality will yield better results. Every one likes to feel like they are doing something good for others, feel appreciated. If you come demanding stuff when you should be asking you'll be slapped back in your place, at the bottom of the food chain.
