My study starts in Februari, finance/accounting not sure yet. It's not like a passion of mine but highly more interested in it compared to other studies. It's a solid pick careerwise from where I live (Europe). IT seems interesting too, or maybe just becouse of Mr. Robot. But doing 40+ hours a week coding is not my cup of tea.

You can study it for free on the internet. Why pay thousands of dollars to study something that you can get for free and doesnt have very good job prospects unless you want to be in school for the next half a decade?

I'm not amazing by amzing people standards (Like Naughty dog, Blizzard or Riot), but I'm studying hard for the past couple of years and I think I got pretty decent do get a entry job somewhere, and climb my way through hard work, good morals and ethics.

To be honest I just want a good, safe place for my Family-to-be.
Maybe Hong Kong isn't the best place to raise a family, but it might be a good place to start my career, right?

Depends. What kind of food do you want to be able to afford? What kind of place to do you want to live in? Etc etc.

I think you can do it on 15k a year if you live very frugally. 20-25k a year if you want some comfyness.

Stop questioning it and deal with it. It's a flawed and shit system in some ways, yes.

That does not change the fact that the majority of your initial employers and companies etc (the place you'll get any starter capital if your like most people) will want you to have basic level qualifications to prove you simply have that drive and determination to learn.

Unless your know for a fact that your time spent not in high school or college will yield you better results in the long run then don't dropout etc. Don't worry though I'm not assuming you want to dropout, it's just a fair point against it. Unless there is a severe other factor like health or mental health etc. that's always different ofc

Unless you know 100% what you want to do and how to achieve it, it's worth just staying in school and living that high school and college experience.

This is coming from a high school dropout. I now work in tech doing software dev, along with some investing, trading, real estate etc. :)

Roth IRA contributions are after-tax, so you don't need to be employed, you just need to have money. In this case, You could absolutely use Christmas money from gram-gram. If it was a regular IRA, their contributions are pre-tax so you'd have to have earned income.

Wrong.
You can't contribute shit if you don't have anything listed on your 1040. It's the lesser of $6,500 or taxable compensation for the year, which (if you have no "taxable compensation") is zero.
The only exception would be if you're married, as that's considered joint income, so if your wife had $13K in income, you could both contribute the $6,500.
