Anon. You know full well /biz/ doesn't like anything that involves fronting capital and lacks the social connections to actual sell. They're a bunch of cheapskate NEETs
Having said that, you do sound like you're onto something. The real question is, where do you sell? Or more importantly how/where do you advertise? Each concert will be different, so getting the word out there that you've got a few tickets going requires a lot of adapting and maneuvering.
Doing a scummy thing like that is below me.
Id rather be poor desu.
Let actual fans pay the fair price. You're note making money by adding value top society, you're just pissing people off.
I have a few freind who started out doing this and now they won a trucking company. problem is they were fliping cars I dont have the space and I know jack shit about cars. I just want enough money to start some actual investments. im pretty mechanicaly minded and am good with electronics, so i have an edge there. I was thinking appliences or small engines like lawnmowers or mopeds. thoughts?
My Grandpa started doing this when he retired. It requires a skill. You aren't going to make money by just having capital to buy good things and resell them.
He will buy anything broken that has a motor. A lawn mower, weed eater, motorcycle, car, etc. He's even flipped an airplane. I bought a motorcycle that didn't run from an auction for $1. All he did was clean out the carb and the gas tank was filled with water from sitting outside in the rain with no gas cap. Ended up selling it for $4,800 after putting $300 and labor into it.
Fixing cars isn't hard. Just read an owner's manual and watch some YouTube videos. It's like legos for men. If you can put a PC together, you can work on the car. The skills/experience comes in when you need to determine what's wrong. Some people can just listen to an engine and tell. Other's need those electronic devices that plugs in and gives them a code on what's wrong.
Perhaps go to a tech school for automotive maintenance. Then work and save capital.
It's hard work and you will make losses though. Not something that you really do for the money, but the passion. He's retired so doesn't care if he loses money or has 6 cars in his driveway.

mopeds seem like they would be good returns and quick turn around. can buy em broken for $50-$75 and worst case senario(blown motor) its an easy $150 fix. selling price would be around $300 - $400. problem is I dont live in a city and I dont see too many mopeds around. ive made money in the past garbage picking for appliences and electronics, but thats very hit and miss and I dont see how I could make a profit if I were buying them off craigslist.
>>1651988
if you buy a fucked up car the loss will be huge. Try buying cars with the help of a mechanic.
In a sticky situation lads lease was up on the first we paid rent to my roommates mom since it's her lease but she moved out and we took over a couple months ago. She was kind of upset we we're not about out yet by the first so she kept the rent and said we can get the deposit instead, if we don't pay rent can the landlord change locks or take all our shit while we are at work?
Can you rewrite your post in clear logical manner, that someone unfamiliar with the matter, would be able to read and understand?

x-ray tech
Suck dicks.
its really only jobs in medicine that you can do that
paramedic, RN, surgical tech, or x-ray tech can all fill your criteria.
btw the idea is that you're supposed to get a second job or do an assload of overtime since you're only working 3 days a week.
So, obviously 95% of the people that browse /biz/ are like myself and either looking for a straight forward easy money making method, or attempting to find inspiration for a business idea surrounding any business concepts that gets mentioned on /biz/.
However, i can guarantee that MOST of you do exactly as i do and browse /biz/ all day and find no inspiration for any business ideas, and have not found any quick money making methods... other than possibly stumbling upon a lucky shitcoin pump.
So, my question is, has anyone found inspiration for a business while browsing /biz/ or are we still all waiting together for the holy grail?
BASICALLY, HAS /BIZ/ LEGIT GAVE ANYONE THE INSPIRATION/ IDEA FOR A BUSINESS THAT ENDED WAGEKEKING?
>>1651836
Ill take it as a no then? /biz/ hasn't helped anyone to end wagekeking?
>>1651836
Actually thanks to a thread a few months back. I found a new tech venture im currently working on. Im an idea guy all I do when im not working or at college (just turned 21) is think about idead and new business markets.
It really isnt hard to imagine new markets and fields of business yet to be worked on. Maybe if you all read news and actually put in work youd be successful.
The guy who bet 25k € on Hilary was by far my biggest inspiration.
i'm an engineer at a top 15 school in the United States. i read "The Quants" by Scott Patterson and "More Money Than God", and I really like the feeling of a financial market. Is there any books to get me started on economics and financial markets? I've seriously been considering switching out of engineering for a long time now.
thank you!
>>1651828
Don't read books. Just start trading and investing with money that you can afford to with. That is the only way anyone learns. You have to lose to learn a lesson.
>>1651828
Or download an app like the stock market game or uptick or whatever so you can get acquainted with trading without using real money, then, when you think you're ready download robinhood and start trading forreal
i deff recommend Tim Sykes' "How to Make Millions" DVD. Yea it's a couple hundred dollars but it's a way to learn a lot in a really short time and avoid costly mistakes.
Or just watch his videos on YouTube for free but the DVD is something else man
How do I get a job in the federal government as a civilian, /biz/?
State Department is a pain and is definitely cucked with our current administration. FBI and CIA might be cool, but the application process is almost a yearlong and I'd have a better chance as a government employee.
Background: 3+ years experience in corporate intelligence/criminal background research + intermediate Mandarin knowledge
CIA cums to you m8. Go work for the TSA or something.
>>1651789
without divulging too much information, their application process is online and I knew a guy (totally unqualified with 0 ambition) to at least get a phone call with some follow up questions.

Literally <30 seconds of googling. And it was the first hit: https://www.usajobs.gov/
Go for it, but I got to ask, if you can't google something this simple, why would they hire you?

Need some biz advice. What would be most valuable to the job market?
I'm 18 and have 2 years of college free (UK). I'm considering 4 paths to follow in november 2017.
1.
>do the 2 years of college. Get my A levels and at 20, join the US marines (infantry, don't argue just want to do inf) (I'm a us citizen)
2.
>Join the US marines (infantry) and save up, then travel for a year as cheap as possible. Use GI bill, get a degree. Get a job while in college in america and live frugally. Save up and start businesses until one works. Get a english teaching qualification and teach english in asia for a few years. While starting a business. I don't want to be a wagecuck in the sense that I don't want an office job but one where I can do what I want. As in, I do what I love and not living paycheck to paycheck.
3.
>go to college(uk), learn a trade and work for 2 years, join us marines for 4 years, get out, travel for 1 year. GI bill, start businesses.
4.
>go abroad immediately. Wwoofing or workaway. Just volunteer abroad in exchange for food and shelter. I'll have no qualifications except GCSEs and a level 1 mechanics. After 3-6 months of that then go the US and enlist in the marines for 4 years.
No idea what to do. Which is the best route to becoming financially independant? I'm going to teach myself android app development and building websites in the mean time. Probably get a job as a mechanic in a month or so.
There's clearly a lot of paths you can take. There's a lot I could say, but let me only comment on the thing I'm most qualified to answer.
>Get a english teaching qualification and teach english in asia for a few years.
This is an enormous waste of time, and if you're as smart as you sound you will not be happy making so little, having no time for language training, and being around burnout expats. I do know ONE guy who followed us America/Vietnamese girlfriend to Vietnam, taught, and had a blast. The rest were sexpats and people "finding themselves."
I would recommend studying abroad in Asia if you wanted to live over there. I did so in Taiwan and not only brushed up on my language skills but also made great acquaintances, and have "international experience" so to speak. The school helps a lot with the transition.
Last thing, you can negotiate what gets put into your enlistment contract in terms of stationing and traveling.
>>1651798
Well I do want to live in japan for a few years. I don't want to teach but Idk if I can use GI bill abroad. Not tokyo, but someone where cheap and maybe fish or someshit. I'm just tired of the sameplace and people I've been with for 18 years.

Is it worth it to start learning stocks trading? is it that hard to profit from it? how much would it take to properly learn it?
It's like everything else. Unless you got an iq of like 135+ and that kind of person who tunrs everything you touch into success you will have to read books, practice, work hard for years and may loose some on the way. But eventually if you got half a brain and actually poured your soul into it you will earn money with enough risk awareness and all the other factors you need to learn to trade. But without a good starting capital it will be slow as hell to actually build your money unless you are lucky in the start.
Personally ive been into the stock market for about two years. Had some luck with the swedish fingerprint reader company FPC on its ride up. But now ive started to read books on trading and the stock market. Gonna try to get serious into trading. But i know it will take time and effort. I know thats probably what you dont want to hear, but its pretty much the truth in any lifechoise.
>>1651749
invest and learn the fundamentals for 6 months before starting to trade.
You must invest your own money though not some bullshit demo account.
Please share some passive income businesses. Investing ideas. I want to get dividends but i dont know in which company or anything else to invest. Also can somebody explain me the real estate shit of buying houses with down payment and renting them and etc.
pls be kind im new to this and i dont want to be wage slave cuck
Invest in CVS
>>1651765
but how much i must invest to get for example 500$ a month from dividends
>>1651797
you should look into price as well as just wanting to collect dividends. if you get a stupid entry price the dividend won't make up for the fact that your stock lost 10% of its value and you made 5% on the dividend.
How do I move up to supervisor within a factory when I work night shift and never see the plant manager? I always ask the supervisor for managerial tasks to take the load off him but I've been his bitch since April and nothing has changed. A supervisor position opened in July but I didn't get it.
I just want to be a fucking supervisor. How do I show the plant manager I'm ready when I haven't seen him since my new hire orientation almost 3 years ago because I work night shift?
>>1651695
transfer to day shift
play the ass kissing game
hope the politics sway on your side

lel... unless your supervisor leaves.. .which he wont because your making his job far to easy.... then there not going to make another fucking supervisor position for you to fill when they dot need 1
What non-work/free time stuff can you do to boost an accounting career?
Let's say you want to work in economics. In that case you can, aside from working in the field, do things like participate in political organizations, write blogs and articles on economic matters, participate in investment clubs, etc to build your personal brand as an economist. I know a guy who was a member of a political right-wing party, and he was able to get in touch with a think tank where he got to do economic work. He made quite a name for himself.
If you want to work in medicine you can do humanitarian work, help sick kids and so on.
If you want to work in programming you can write scripts for almost anything and build a portfolio of projects before you even start college.
If you want to work in environmental science, energy science, etc. you can join Greenpeace or whatever and ascend to some position of importance.
The list goes on, but what the fuck do you do if you want to make a name for yourself in accounting? Basically, how do you build your personal brand in accounting, if you want to do stuff outside your job?
Oh come on, I know you people should have some clue about this
>>1651686
