How should I accept credit cards on my website biz? I've tried paypal but it's a pain in the ass to setup. All the other processors want a registered company. I don't want to register a company. I just want to accept credit cards. What do /biz?

>I've tried paypal but it's a pain in the ass to setup
I'm a 40+ year old tech-phobe that doesn't own a cell phone and paypal for business took me 10 minutes to set up.
>>1680390
Yeah probably if you just use the button generator then copy over the html. My use case is a bit more complicated and paypal's sdk is the worst piece of technology I have used in the last year
>>1680395
I've had cases where the button isn't practical and I've used their invoicing platform. That'd be a pain in the ass for a lot of small purchases but it's not bad for me since I just do a couple large sales.
>tfw will have about $10,000 soon
>too afraid to invest it in anything or start a dropshopping business cuz think i'll fail
>don't want to lose the money
>plan to continue to work like a good wagie goyim and continue to save money
is this the right path or no
>>1680369
Pretty much in the same boat as you, and I'd say it's the best option for now but don't keep it that way. If you're not making your money work for you then you should be looking for ways to make it happen.
Don't be like me, OP. I'm in the same boat as you, but I set sail two years ago. Take risks and learn from them.
If you don't have goals you'll always be working to accomplish someone else's goals
>too afraid to invest it in anything or start a dropshopping business cuz think i'll fail
>don't want to lose the money
Your going to lose the money and your going to fail. The way you think is what will put you on a pathway to success.
>take cabs everywhere
>live off fast food and delivery
>spend atleast 350 a month on weed
how do I stop this? I can't save shit. no license otherwise I would get a car. No stove so cant cook. roommates would eat food too..
>>1680364
Keep it in your room - potatoes under bed, rice and beans cans too.
>>1680365
Really should have invested in a mini fridge. I need to eat "home cooked" food though. Otherwise I will just get even skinnier. Runs me up upwards $60/day its fucked.
>>1680364
Get a dry herb vape. Stop smoking for a while to lower your tolerance. When you think you've waited long enough, vape some weed. In my experience, vaping weed is super efficient. I can make one gram last one and a half to two weeks easy. I just pinch off a piece with my fingers and keep vaping over and over until its done. With smoking, it all burns away pretty quick, but with vaping I often get shocked at how many good hits I can get out of a tiny piece of weed. Now I get like $60 worth of weed at a time and it can literally last me months.
$29k to invest

>>1680335
Invest into me, I'm an R&B singer and my music sells well. I just need money for promo so these iTunes and Apple Music / Spotify checks can double. We make good money for now but it could definitely be more. Our last song just hit #1 on iTunes in South Africa
Buy PleasureThrone shares.

57% of luxury condos in Midtown new york sit vacant. How do are these condos not broken into and looted? I can't imagine feeling comfortable leaving your home vacant for even a month
>>1680222
Because NYC condo buildings have pretty thorough building security, 24hr doormen, etc.
>>1680222
checked
because security, duh
I lived in a luxury condo for a few years and every-fucking-thing required my key card

Why is this website so shitty
I don't know but this is so true, the text is so out of place, not even centered, the text is randomly different sizes, the fucking "continue to this site" doesn't even have any ads on it, instead its a bunch of quotes from people I don't even want to know about.
Jesus, their fucking "top 25" or whatever lists make you click like 28 times to see a list, and the images are like so low quality.
The site is so cringeworthy.
>>1680091
Why is this magazine so shitty
Money.
They knew they were a top read in finance, and the big wigs on top decided to squeeze the lemon so hard they completely destroyed it.
The content looks like it was written by highschoolers, and is accurate about 15% of the time. It's swamped with more pop-ups than a porn tube site.
Basically the people on top said let's crash this ship and get shit rich in the process.
What are the best languages a CEO should know and why?

>>1680070
Aramaic, for when Jesus returns you can strike some deals brah.
Yo my nigga's.
I've been studying finance but never liked it. Thanks to the movie The Wolf of Wall Street I wasted a year of my life in uni. But there is hope for me, I have a deadline till 30th of December to change my study.
I've been looking at Chemistry and I like the idea of sitting in a lab your whole workday and making scans and analysis.
I'd like to work at a refinery, but will there be work in that kind of environment? Oh yeah, what's the difference between chemistry and lets say Finance? Is chemistry harder and is it even smart for me to change lanes since I've basically no f*king clue about chemistry.
Or any other alternatives besides finance/eco?
I'd like to wagecuck 10 years and open something my own.
>studying finance
>watched a stupid film
>changes mind
Go into finance and Computer Science and start trading.
>>1680069
Dude how can I get intro trading if I got my degree from a regular local uni with a bachelor. Being a broker or trader you'd have to be autist or did good at school from a young age.
>>1680076
Or be smart, but then again, you aren't
How does one become a restruant manager and climb the ladder?
>>1680051
Become Italian.
Then become an alcoholic when you realize that all you can cook is pizza and pasta.
>>1680051
It's a sucky job mate.
> $30k - $40k a year
> 50 - 60 hrs a week
> Just put up with bullshit, whiny staff, and whiny customers the entire time
You got better options my friend.
But if you wanna do it, you wait, then workup to bartend, then manage. Show up, work hard, keep opinions to yourself, dont fuck coworkers, let Owner know of your ambitions.
>>1680051
From the bottom:
Literally eat shit (i.e. work like a dog, when asked to do shit say yes, be there when they need you), act like a manager as a grunt (i.e. be the leader to the other faggots in the place, step on their necks by being better than them), make sure the people over you know that you want to be a manager (i.e. at least once a month have a chat with a manager, HR, or owner about openings for managerial roles).
Have a quick, but somewhat complicated, tax question for you, /biz/.
I previously owned part of a business, which I recently sold. The new owner purchased the entire business, including all property and equipment. Part of that property was a vehicle. While I was an owner of the business, I was not employed or paid by the business and was receiving unemployment.
After the business sold, I purchased the vehicle from the new owner (again, the vehicle was owned by the company, not him directly). However, when I went to the registration office, I was told that the purchase price was "too low" and I was encouraged by the clerk to simply file a gift transfer.
Now that it has come to the end of the year, I've become somewhat worried about the tax implications of this transfer. As it was filed as a gift, would it be treated as income? I was on unemployment at the time and I'm hoping that this won't cause any issues. How will this thing be taxed? If this is going to cause a problem, is it possible to go back and re-file the transfer using a "sale" form?
Not really sure what to do with this.
Gifts are not taxable to the recipient under most cases. The person who GIVES the gift files a gift return, and may owe taxes if the gift exceeds certain annual or lifetime limitations.
Whether this affects your unemployment I do not know.
>>1680022
Does this apply to gifts from a corp to an individual as well?
>>1680033
Same guy on mobile. Gifts are gifts. Doesn't matter if it's from a corporation.
Your only real risk is if the Corp files bankruptcy. If that happens, you might be liable for the difference between what you paid and fair value. If you got a real sweetheart deal, it could get challenged.
what are the best alternatives? so far every one I tried was either a scam or had extremely low rates
There are no alternatives. Google have had a total monopoly on small publisher advertising for a decade and no one seems to care.
>>1679975
apparently google only likes blog sites and my webapps are deemed as "insufficient content" and get rejected
>>1679962
media.net is owned by Microsoft and Yahoo. They are the logical alternative.
