500$ isn't shit. Get a good job or if you're that young develop skills (college, trades) to eventually get one.

Just throw it in your account. If you need it for an emergency it there. You aren't going to make any money with it outside of gambling which won't take long to lose.

If you ask that kind of questions without asking google first and read a lot you aren't ready for investing.

1. Open a trading account somewhere. (covers "Wat do" and 'How start"
2. "How much" it depends on who you ask, but I'd say 25,000,000 is a reasonable amount to get your feet wet... Lower than that it's not worth it imho.
3. Stocks, options, etc. Depends on your risk tolerances, but the advisors in the /rhg/ threads pick winners that yield massive gains.

How does anyone live on a 1$ salary like Mark Zuckerberg does and Eric Schmidt did, even Warren Buffett pays himself just a hundred thousand dollars annually and Jeff Bezos even less than that, 80,000$. This doesn't make sense.

How do these people afford their mansions, private jets and yachts? What do they do when they need more money? Sell their shares?

they make most of their money from capital gains. The interest they accumulate from their assets is more than some shitty 400k salary, it looks nice to deny a salary, but it is just a gesture, they aren't actually losing out on much relatively.
>>
>What is compounding interest

Their salary is token at this point. They make more off of their assets than they do from their salary.

I'll post this here as well

I am making a Javascript "app" to put on a basic front end portfolio, but what if I think the idea is actually quite good, and there are quite a few people who would use it (but be unlikely to pay for it) how would I go about monetizing it.

There are currently about 10 teaching sites that deal with the subject my app trains in that charge around $200-$1000 a year, and have thousands of users each, there are also potentially hundreds of thousands if not more people not using these sites, but would be interested in using my app as an aid with the subjects other learning methods (books, free YT vids).

Lets say I approach one of the training companies with my app, what is to stop them hiring prajeet to make a duplicate for $100. How profitable can hosting and advertising be?

What approach would you suggest?

I lived in India for a year. Pajeets are utterly incompetent. If your abilities are so low that pajeets are able to defeat you, then you deserve it.
>>
>>1704889
So is the idea a kind of living syllabus for subjects that reference free materials for students to study?
>>
>>1704942

Its more like a flash card system for people to practice, but a bit more to it than that.

Basically its to help their decision making in a key area of the subject. To give an idea if a book on the subject is 12 chapters, the app is like a flashcard system for how to make decisions in different scenarios that is relevant for about 3 chapters of the book.

Many books I have read on the subject had told students to use flashcards, but there are so many variables its just not practical to do that.

>>1704931

Its not a hugely complex program, I was just thinking about approaching people and saying, "would you like me to edit this program to incorporate your brand, and you can put it on your website, people who are looking for help in this subject will then be lead to your training site via the app", are they legally allowed to just turn around and get a duplicate made.

OK /biz/ I've been lurking this board for months now. No one seems to offer any real and actually practical way of making money. I've read some books and it seems that either even billionaires got lucky or they don't want to tell us how to make money.

It's always "invest" and "jewcoins" and shity ideas that are either impossible to apply or have extremely low changes of success.

So let's say I have 20000 euros. How do I make a million out of that? Is there someone who can actually teach me (like I'm 4) or are most of you in fact poor?

>>
Well, that depends. Do you wanna have 1 million over a period of time while you're working and having the potential to retire early? Because probably the best proven method to making money over time is putting the shit into a brokerage or Roth IRA account and investing in blue chip companies, low-risk index funds, big name index funds like the S&P, and maybe commodity futures if you feel good about it. There's also real estate to consider, but it varies depending on your area, and I'm pretty sure there's no area of the EU where you can buy a second property for 20,000 Euros.

If you want a million now, then I'm sorry, because there's no way to just get a million dollars overnight without exuberant acts of fraud. Hell, you might as well piss it away on penny stock memes and hope that they end up going up.

First off cryptofags how does this shit even work?

>Ethereum Classic is an open source public blockchain-based distributed computing platform, featuring smart contract functionality.

What the fuck does that even mean. I remember embedding shit on myspace pages and ripping code out of other sites to copy it from inspect elements, but then I lost my virginity and played sports.

Considering opening up a credit card and loading up like 1 g on ETH on coinbase. If there's a boom will coinbase fuck me when I try to sell them? Do I sell them one by one? Can I convert it to another wallet like Jaxx or BlockChain Wallet to BTC? How bad will I get fucked

If I get fucked I get fucked / or it doesn't take off and pay it off in a couple weeks with my wage cuck job after intro APR runs out.

I know how structuring with cash works, does it work the same with ETH / BTC? Do I just shift it from wallet to wallet? Can I have a usb hard drive full of those fuckers and sit on em? Is Monero a better bet?

Is anyone here not a NEET who knows what they're talking about?

I NEED to know.

ethereum is programmable money

>If there's a boom will coinbase fuck me when I try to sell them?

yes Coinbase and the IRS will team up and double penetrate your anus while high-fiving

Can I convert it to another wallet like Jaxx or BlockChain Wallet to BTC?

yes thats simple use https://shapeshift.io

>How bad will I get fucked

this remains to be seen, and its a reason that Monero is becoming popular. While every transaction with bitcoin and ethereum can be tracked by the IRS/coinbase, they cannot track transaction on monero. You can hide how much Monero you have from everyone else. No one can see the balances in any other persons account. Expect some cat-and-mouse games in crypto as the government tries to collect its "share" of your investment.
>>
>>1704832

So investing in BTC/ETH means I can't hide my money from the taxman?
>>
>>1704832
Thanks anon.

So essentially I have to know how to code to make my own cost effective ether?

And am I too late to the game to mine Monero at a profit? Planning on dropping like 800 to build a rig, probably could get it up by next month.

Hey, /biz/,

I'm a fucking retard. I mean, I'm a retard, but I'm smart enough to know that anything that seems like magic has something at work behind the curtain.

How does anyone in the middle of the country make money off this? Like, real money to use in real life. Even more basic, how in God's name would it benefit my life in any way whatsoever over the existing system both now and going forward?

I have no clue how it all works. I'm interested but clueless. Can someone help me with this? Please? Guide me to the fundamentals? The basics? Anything at all?

How will this help me currently and, if it won't at all, how is this going to benefit me in the future and why would it be important for me to understand and be on the ground floor in learning and understanding and following the development?

I'm too young to have missed the dawn of the internet, but I'm too old to not realize just how much I missed out on.

If any of that makes sense to you, any help is appreciated.

start a local offline exchange sell sealed paper wallets for cash (there will be buyers) establish a trust relation with your customers first buyers will be just curious about you there won't be much money turned around but later on they will know your wallets are good and some serious buyers might come by.

you make money off the difference between your buy and sell prices compared to spot.

world needs services like that. sadly most around here are too expensive (ie keep to big spread) because of the low traffic i imagine.

I just combined 2 bank accounts and now have 20,000 in my checking account. Is it wise to open a savings account again for most of that money and leave like 5k in checking?

My mom said I should invest in the Dow Jones or bonds but I don't understand all of those that well to know where my money is going. Does she mean a broker? How can you trust a broker? Couldn't he have his own special wants at heart?

Your mom sounds like she's telling you to more generally just invest it to grow your money over time. My advice here is to first educate yourself on what it entails to invest in a company, what companies are safe bets for the future, etc. (just google the shit, really, there's so many books on this that all have good info) then the next recommended step (provided you're trying to save for retirement that is) is to put it in a Roth IRA account and pick who to invest in. obviously research the benefits of doing this, what a Roth IRA does for you, if you're eligible for it, if your bank allows it, and if not or you wanna do it with a brokerage, what brokerage to look into. Look into big name, respectable and highly rated ones like Charles Schwab or TD Ameritrade. Then, final step, just decide which stocks to invest in based on your prior research, preferably blue chip companies that have no reason to suddenly make drastic moves downward in the future like Google or Coca-cola, Pepsico, Amazon, Tesla (for now), Verizon, etc. Look also into low-risk index funds, like with vanguard's index funds, or potentially the S&P 500, which makes up the top 500 companies in the world and boots companies off if they no longer make the list, and basically a guaranteed money printer at this point in time for a period over 10 years or more.

First and foremost just do your own research into what you should do with it, because nobody has better say in your investments than yourself.
