What credit cards do you use and why, /biz/?
>Alaska Air Visa Card for the annual companion fare so my SO and I can visit my parents in Seattle for the holidays
>Citi Double Cash Back for miscellaneous purchases
>JetBlue for 2X on groceries and restaurants
>Crappy BoA travel card I only keep open because no annual fee and lengthens my credit history
>>1781072
so, if you pay your bills using these cards, and then immediately pay the balance off, you earn free shit?
>>1781072
First card is a navy fed cash rewards card, 1.5% back on everything. Decent.
Just got a 2nd card, Visa Signature GoRewards, 3% back on food, 2 on gas, 1 on other.
Only had my first card for about 8 months, 2nd card was approved for 10k limit. Not sure if that's average or good.
>>1781084
Yep. The only reason finance bloggers talk about how "risky" they are is because people are retarded with their spending, don't pay their bills, and get hit with high APRs. But pay your bill in full, and they're literally zero-interest loans that come with free money.
Teller fag here. I have an interview tomorrow for an entry level position at a bank tomorrow. I need some questions to review. Thanks in advance
You're helping a slow as fuck old black lady. She's taking forever, the lunch hour is almost over, and you're the only teller around. What, exactly, do you tell an obviously rushed, possibly racist customer who joins the line two spots behind her?
What do you do in the event of a bank robbery? Answer as the receiver of a note, a witness of a note being passed, and a teller during a loud robbery.
At the close of business you notice another teller swiping some cash. They've been warned before that their counts don't add up. What do you do?
>>1780954
There are plenty of online resources. We're not going to spoonfeed you.
>>1780973
Answer to all three is to aggressively neutralize the transgressor by any means possible.
>have 10,000 dollars I want to invest
what do? would a brokerage firm accept an amount that small to start an account?
if I told them to be aggressive with it could it generate significant money for me?
is paying commission worth it?
im not too familiar with stock brokering or anything like that
>>1780874
ill manage it for you. i will be very aggressive
another question, could I possibly generate enough profit to supplement my income? or would it just be like 100 dollars a month?
>>1780874
Hey mate! Give it to me and I'll make you heaps.
Post and help other /biz/tards work on their resumes. Get help with resumes.
My goal here is to get working with a larger financial institution and I plan on applying for a company to work in a client resource management position.
What's the best font for a tech job (web dev) resume?
>>1780688
Looks like shit
Thoughts? I'm applying for Production Manager / Training Manager type roles.
if you down own at least 21 BTC in 2017 to be part of the future elite you are fucking up bigly.
>>1780802
>tfw no BTC, just massive amounts of booze and bullets.
I'll be the guy you trade with when it all comes crashing down.

If he holds so much crypto then why was he calling Tim and crying about how he can't afford health insurance?
For those of you who are familiar with cryptos, Ethereum, and The DAO - I'm interested to have a discussion about the fundamental idea behind The DAO (decentalized venture capital on the Ethereum network).
Even though The DAO blew up, I think that boils down to the managing team's incompetence in security, rather than the idea itself being in-actionable.
What do you guys think? Is Ethereum-based crowdfunding/VC a good idea? How does the idea change if it's only about funding crypto/blockchain projects vs. funding real businesses?
how deep is your understanding of the dao hack?
>>1780529
On a technical level? Not very, but I understand broadly what happened.
>>1780519
Retarded.
VC inherently involves counter-party risk. A bunch of code can't go after companies or individuals who misuse funds or refuse to make good on a loan.
If the DAO just wants to invest in eth-based tokens that's fine. But then it's really just a pooled investment fund.
What are some ways to make money?
Could be really simple or really complex

Refrain from vices like whores, sugars, latest igoy product, alcohol and vidya.
After failing yet another job interview process that had me judged solely on my extroversion and normieness while surrounded by posh normie clones and interviewed by their slightly older clones, I am tempted once again by self help. Are the below books good?
A guide to rational living
What every body is saying
How to win friends and influence people
Psycho cybernetics
I am a huge cynic and see all philosophies as unfalsifiable and all pieces of wisdom and self help as bullshit at their core. Should I just ignore all pieces of advice, all of which I would probably forget, and just lie more, speak louder, speak clearer, speak more?

Man you're whinning so much it's painful... Grow up, stop reading crap and think for a second. Selling yourself isnt difficult if you know your shit and what people are looking for. You can figure that out by yourself, no need for motivation speech.
not to nitpick, but wouldn't it be falsifiable not unfalsifiable?
I want to marry a model, who has a good job like being a Nurse.
I think the most fool proof method of this is by going to Phillippines, China, or Indonesia and getting a mail order bride.
What is wrong/right about this?
Why not marry a cute RN from phillipines, bring her to USA...
Invest $50,000 in her, and collect $30,000-$100,000 a year from her.
Hell I could even make her work at a 7-11, if she was really dumb but cute.
>collect $30,000-$100,000 a year from her
elaborate
>>1780283
make her work for free at my 7-11, or she gets a job as a nurse, and pays me rent?
>>1780292
your wife is paying you rent?
how do you motivate yourself to get work done?
If I don't do it mom wont be proud

If he can make $1 billion from a $1 million loan from his dad (which is a 99900% RETURN), why is it so fucking hard for me to turn $100 into $100,000? Jesus Christ, I'm not even asking for much.

It's exponentially easier to make money the more money you have.

Why is wrong to have a sin stocks?

Everyday I see people saying Bitcoin will reach 10,000 and eventually 5000,000. But honestly, what is it that would cause bitcoin to reach these prices anyway?
>>1778686
Demand. Which is increasing each day.
Supply. Which is shrinking each day.
The printing it just never stops they just keep on printing and printing and printing AND PRINTING AND PRINTING AHHHAHA..... HAHAHAHAHA AAAHAHAHAHA PRINTING PRINTING PRINTING

just realized I used too many zero's in the second number forgive me.
Will bitcoin return to -$500? I want to buy in but dont know shit about bitcoin.
Nope, too many people watch bitcoin thesedays, anytime it dips even slightly there are buying frenzies. Their could be another crash in ancouple of years though, but I doibt bitcoin will survive it if it does.
All the big money has already been made from bitcoin, if you're not in yet its too late
>>1777469
Bitcoin Unlimited fags are threatening to split the coin claiming they have support from the chink miners. Some users want to change the PoW algorithm away from sha-256 to screw the gook miners. Some want to add segwit/lightning network to bitcoin, and some want to keep it the same.
If these politics boil over there could be a chance to get bitcoin cheap.
>>1777469
anyone else remember not buying in when they were 80 dollars?

>don't report all income
>get larger return
Literally free money.

>Pay for private sector stuff is tax exempt while overseas

>virtually all of my pay straight to the bank
Fraud is cute though.

You'd get a smaller refund.
