I thought of trades because small businesses in the service industry are far more successful than retail, restaurants, etc. But I kind of like my job now because I have nobody telling me what to do. I'm in charge of other people. I don't think I could bear the 4+ years of having a boss tell me what to do every day until I can get my contractor's license.

In teaching, I could sort of do my own thing. Create my own lesson plans, do things my way. Nursing probably not so much but I'd still have some sort of control. I just like being independent.

You need to get out more. There are thousands of ways to make money, much much easier ways than that.

YouTube is a terrible way to make money. Absolutely horrible. It's hard, you have to put in years and be passionate about what you do. You have to shamelessly shill your videos and study your niche extensively. If you are making videos you are not proud of, you are probably just going to quit or feel completely empty inside. You will make no money the first year. You literally have to do it for years to get anywhere. And with little kids, they can't even read yet so it's almost impossible to reach your audience.

There are other ways to make money. Putting all your effort to shooting, editing, uploading free videos just to displays ads at the beginning and get pennies per ad is a fucking convoluted and retarded way to make money. Just sell a product or service for money you fucking idiot. You are a retard if you think a YouTube channel is a good business model. That's why most faggots have to e-beg on patreon and sell shitty t-shirts to make any real money. Right now you have a hammer so you think you can only hit nails. There are far better, easier, faster, more fulfilling ways to make money out there.

I can't remember how I learned the basics but it was a gradual process. I'm sure you could find anything you need to know online.
To learn charts I highly recommend tothetick, it's a youtube channel.
You may also want to research dow theory for a general understanding of cause and effect in the market. This is especially important.
As usual the intelligent investor (revised) should be on your reading list. It isn't the most relevant to today but there is still value there.
