Didn't see a pinned wiki or info dump. How do I learn to invest? What's on the reading list?

Bumping this from yesterday. What is the best online broker to use to buy a few stock? Was interested in US Steel, Amazon, Microsoft, Google, and whoever makes Oculus Rift.
Hi, i am that anon that posted a plan to create a cyber cafe in Brazil and asking how to make the money for that. Well, some anons here got interested in investing on me, so i have made a partnership with one of them, a guy who saw that i was not a scammer. The cyber cafe is almost done, a shame i can't post more pics (brazilian anons would send traps, travestities and pizzas to my store if they find where it is.
Pic related, the wiring network of the cybercafe.
Thanks for all, /biz/.
Special thanks for the anons that trusted on me.
is it basically an internet cafe? what makes your cyber cafe special?
well shit that's pretty dope

Remember that thread. Glad it worked out.
Post favorites and what subjects they cover/why they are subject matter experts, etc.
I have enough KNOWLEDGE so not pic related please.
I like the bigger pockets podcasts.
There was also one guy that was running a podcast called the wealth network about RE investing too.
But honestly, I don't find all that much that is actionable.

Is being an executive a matter of having the money to pay for the college degrees corporate wants you to have, or is there some finesse to it? Can I climb up the ladder from the clerk's desk, or do you literally have to have parents with college money?
promotions are based on reputation and character not qualifications or performance. Hard work doesnt get you a promotion, it ensurers that you never get a promotion, a good worker stays a worker.
>>1809598
It doesn't work like that, you need to have experience to be an executive.
>>1809114
Best way to become an executive is to get a finance/accounting/business related degree.
Idk about america but in the UK you can get well known accounting/finance related professional qualifications for free if you do apprenticeships.
>>1809598
Reputation matters and it's largely based on your past successful outcomes. People who are shit rarely make it past regional manager level. Once people become directors/VPs and such they've usually got a long history of results in addition to being well thought of. If you can get results by being a lazy conniving piece of shit/diversity hire/have a velvet crotch I guess you'll make it but most people tend to work their asses off for a decade + to get there.
How rich is too rich?
Probably when you can't form meaningful relationships with people because you never know if they're just using you for your money.
>>1808898
When you have people thinking for you.
When you invest in both biology and technology.
When you kill every other rich person on the planet and every fourth world country.
When you're so rich you can control the planet
When you're so rich you can space race with yourself.
When you get smart and stop being a degenerate.

Fuck these bitches.
Nice breasts though.
I'm considering doing this and desu it's sounding like a pretty good idea.
> Easy to get a job. It's already easy for female nurses to get a job, but even easier for male nurses.
> Decent pay (at least from my teenage retail wagecuck standpoint) and I can eventually move up to something like anesthesia, practioner, etc and make even more
> I can work three 12-hr shifts and have the rest of the week off
>>1808791
Depends on country/area, some are over staffed with nurses and the nurses find it hard to get jobs
Otherwise pretty useful and helpful profession
Cant pretend you're in it for the money though
It's shit pay for the prep that goes in, the work that goes in and the hours you put in, not to mention the stress.
If you want it, do it, we will always need nurses
>>1808791
Once you get promoted to head nurse make sure you have enough money to buy some kneepads
>>1808791
Above average stress and above average schooling for above average pay.
If you don't like doing it than it won't be amazing. If your dick gets hard in gore threads you'll probably love being an ER nurse and make bank. If you hate taking care of people you'll be miserable in most nursing jobs.
Being in a field full of the opposite gender= you will get fucked with if you can't handle them. Its the same as women in the military, prepare to always be the odd one out and be the target of angst from anyone who has a hard time getting laid.
I need to make $1,000. I have no time frame on when I need to have this, but the sooner the better. I would ideally like to make this in 1-3 months.
About me, I am 21 years old, unable to work due to tourettes and anxiety. Very good socially. Am serious.
Thanks, inb4 sperm donor
How many times do we have to say this
Start sucking dick
People will pay extra for your fucked condition

Sell one of your kidney
>own most of the stock in a successful company
>dump it all
>people think it's a firesale and the price drops
>buy it all back and more while
>people realize it was a ruse and the price goes back up
>repeat for infinite money
What's the problem with this plan???
>own most of the stock in a successful company
right there is the problem
congrats you figured out bitcoin
Why should a company give a shit what shareholders think/feel? Why should they try to please shareholders exactly? I mean, they're not the ones that are working, they just put money in and do fuck all and expect money to come out.
Is this fair logic?
>>1808576
If they pull their money out the company has less funds to put to other tasks.
>>1808577
They already have the money though. If the stock price drops to $0.01 the company doesn't give a fuck.
>>1808580
This, why does a company give a shit if the shareholders get fucked once they recieve $50m from shareholders? end of the day it's the shareholders that lose money and not the company if they have already made out with the $50m?
>how to learn to suck other people's dick especially those higher up than you and if lucky, they "may" trickle down their gratitude to you
Is my TL;DR right about this book or am I missing something /biz/?
>>1808050
Did you actually read it?
>>1808050
Eh, some of it is that but I think the overall theme is more or less reciprocal altruism.
>>1808050
you should ask /r9k/ they may know
What kind of small business can I start with 100k dollars? I have zero (0) skill and I'm lazy af.
>>1807494
None

Sucking dicks
So my place decided to put me on a split shift.
How do i tell them to fuck off?
Quit
>>1809915
I've only been there for 8 months and it's my first job ever.
Wouldn't that be a resume suicide?
>>1809924
What's the job and what exactly is this split shift?
Does being rich make you happier?
No, but it reduces stress.
>>1808126
for awhile, then its on to the next
Being rich doesn't make me happy
But I get a huge rush like no other when i see stocks go up in price.
Anyone here do UberEats too?
Trying to figure out what they mean by this.
Who gets the other pickup fee?
Also why the fuck
>do restaurants never have the order ready
>do customers NEVER tip (EVER)
>does Uber hide the delivery location?
Ended up two cities away because it doesn't show you the address until you're near
>>1807877
>Being so stupid you can't follow a gps
>>1807877
>Who gets the other pickup fee?
Uber
Can you help me guys managing my money.
Im a college student and I work part time at Mc Donalds (kek).
So I have no fucking idea about economy so I have no idea how should I spend my money.
Could you guys help me with something like a list of which % of my income should I spend in each category and which % should I save/invest ?
>I dont pay food nor housing.
>>1807829
As little as possible on food
water is free
as little as possible on shelter
As little as possible on school, fill out scholarships all summer until you're going for free
put all you have left in the stock market
>>1807829
Basically save everything, buy only the stuff you need.
If you keep that as your rule of thumb you're golden.
I sometimes spend too much money on food and I go to a party once a month.
I live pretty frugally for a student.
If you got 25k+ in the bank, invest it (blue chip stocks, index's, etf's, bonds, or hedge funds)
>>1807846
I dont pay for food/housing because I live with my parents
I dont pay for college (only books and that kind of stuff) because its free here.
But what about "luxury" stuff like clothes, going out and so on
