I recently started using Cryptocurrency and, even though I plan to probably invest some money in the future, for now I just want to check it out.
Do you have advice for a BTC noob?

Hi anons Im a finances n00b and I wanted to ask you a question.
I live in Argentina and here we have this thing called LEBAC.
You buy them and you have a 23.2% interest in 49 days.
So lets say I put 10k and inflation in those 49 days is 5%.
So I put 10k + 23.2% (2320) - 5% (500) = 11820 in 49 days ?
Cause if Im right Im gonna put all my money in that shit

Probably a scam
Never trust anyone that'll hand you free money, anon
>itt: jobs commonly done from home
i have zero interest in wealth. just want to survive and maximize neet time.
is there any finance jobs commonly done from home?
>my contribution: mortgage underwriting. can make 100k+ working from home
not really an option nowdays unless your'e a woman.
you can start selling products on etsy or hustle on ebay but you need to invest alot of time that usually guys don't have in training yourself.
if you are good with computers i guess you can hustle credit cards or get involved in black hat activities. but it requires you to be involved and have the time to learn
>>1812008
is your mom a mortgage underwriter?
There's medical billing. That's usually remote, but it doesn't pay very well
how much money do you think a business like this makes?

Go to a location. Count how many people go in. Or poke at their web traffic forgot what to use now that complete.com is gone. Estimate 1% of online users pay them or 50% of doorswings.
Figure out what you think an average transaction would involve for revenue over the rental period. Subtract transaction costs and wholesale cost of the rims. Account for debt collection and theft. Account for store rent and wages.
Answer?
you need to watch fargo
people who rent wheels are scum
its very hard to get money from them

Is he based or bullshit?
he is dunklefonkerz
He mentioned me in one of his videos, must have been like 10 years ago. When I was much younger, he pointed me towards expanding my "eBay business" so I started a sex toy distribution company, became the number #1 seller for sex toys on eBay until eBay required guests to verify their age with credit card information to view the "Everything Else" category which killed sales. I started an affiliate business the next month, sold to brick and mortars, and one my top affiliates was a growing porn site (this was prior to pornhub and redtube and all of the other streaming video sites becoming huge) that sent me an offer and I accepted.
However, he doesn't do or have experience in in 99% of the stuff he talks about.
I've been watching doctor Martians finance videos
(https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=unI4MbTY1lY), and tried to chart out the fast food industry on my own
Why do so many fast food restaurants have negative equity? Even many of the "big successful ones".

taxes thread!
I have a question, I only made about 33 bucks by selling stocks this year, the rest was via unqualified dividends. but all the tax software to file sales of stocks is like 60 bucks. How bad will I get fucked if I don't claim my dumbass 33 bucks this year as short term capital gains?
Pic unrelated

The IRS recieves a copy of your 1099 from your broker no matter what. They'll know if you don't report, and you COULD be penalized ( although you probably won't as it's your first time ) and will more than likely get audited.
If it's small gains because you made few trades, just learn to do it yourself, otherwise buy the software and learn your lesson that the stock market isn't a fucking game.
>>1811773
Ok cool. I kinda figured that. I'm just gonna eat the cost this year and learn to do it myself for next year. I've actually made enough money this last month from selling to pay it off anyways but I was just curious what happens. Thanks.

If I go the Stockholm School of Economics, do I get to snort cocaine of a high-end-hookers tits every night and fly around in my own helicopter, just like Leonardo Dicaprio in Wolf on Wall Street?
>>1811652
No, but you can get some cheap kneepad and make some bank
>>1811652
academic economics is for government propagandists and bureaucrats.
Get an MBA if you want to make yourself useful.
>>1811652
To be honest friend, it's this: >>1811883
Instead of cocaine off of high-end-hookers tits, it will be kebab sauce from mohammed's cock. You job as a swede isnt to get rich, it's to prep the bull and then retire to your cuck shed while your women are impregnated with true islamic seed. All of your income will then be taxed 60% to import more afghan and somalian bulls.
Is there any other reasonable option to move abroad other than working for a multinational when my degree is shit (journalims) and I live in a south american country where if I save up 100k suddenly it becomes only 5-7k if I transfom them to dollars ?
>>1811578
Marry someone from a rich country who looks like this
>>1811578
> 1) diversity visa
I won twice, but then again I am from a desirable country
> 2) marriage scam
marry someone from the destination (may not work in some countries, may end you in jail in others)
> 3) freelance / self-employ / telecommute /start a business, & purchase real estate in the destination
if you have decent foreign income then you can usually periodically renew your visas and eventually transition to permanent residence.

I'm going to Cuba in may... average salary is 30 dollars a month. I'm gonna live like a king and just go to university there.
So /biz/ do any of you have any experience selling stock photos or video as a side income?
Do/Did you sell those online to sites like istockphoto?

I hope you know a bit of Lightroom. They only want the best photos and landscapes are already overused. Try to do some portraits with people doing something. These will sell easily as they're bought by business and blogs.

when I was in high school (around 2008) I bought medical sterilization pouches from China and sold them to local dental offices
The hard part is being ahead of the curve. When something gets too much marketing hype behind it, I tend to move to another product.
I live in a rural county with a population of about ~50k. I was interested in purchasing a DJI Phantom 4 Pro for hobby reasons and had the idea that there may be a way to recoup my losses by contacting some local realtors and offering dirt-cheap amateur footage of the properties.
Is this a good idea? Even if I charge a measly $100 or less, the drone could pay for itself in a year or less.
>>1811372
Look at what a commercial FAA drone licence costs.
You should already know since you have a drone that requires even a basic licence to pilot already.
You will want one if your going to be doing this.
You can actualy do surveyor job, get into photogrammetry

This is a great idea, thanks anon.
Hey /biz/raelis.
My dad and I used to run a restaurant that was really profitable (something like 50% profit net) for several years before my stepmom ruined it with her frivolous spending habits and bad business decisions.
It's been a few years and now we're looking to reopen the place (plenty of people still ask us about it and we got highly rated reviews, so we expect it to be easily profitable again), however we're in a rut money-wise. Is it easier to apply for a small business loan given the history and track record of a successful restaurant if we're essentially repeating the process? We'll also mention how the business ended up closing and why, and why that factor won't be one this time around.
What does /biz/ think of our chances of getting a loan?

Banks hand out business loans like candy if you have good reputation and credit with your bank as well as a solid business model. Don't even feel the need to mention that the business used to exist, unless you must. Just tell them ur projected profit and how long you think it would take for the business to pay off the loan. Make sure to mention that you've studied the area well and you feel the location is ideal for your restaurant because it has unique food to the area and there is an absence of restaurants in the area.. you can kind of bullshit most of it, just make sure if you have to talk to someone about the loan that both you and your dad show up early to the meeting, and in full business attire. you'll get a loan no problem.
