Fuck it. I'm making my own eCommerce store. I'm sick of paying high fees on eBay/Payal and Amazon while also dealing with USPS price hikes and Mr. Taxman.

How's your 'social' life /biz/ ?
>Get judged for not being social or meeting family when i'm too tired and sleepy to do any of my own chores
>/r9k/
>social life at work
I'm pretty social. Everybody knows me and enjoys having me around. I'm helpful to every body and always order pizza or Chinese for somebody's birthday.
>social life outside of work
There's only a few close people from work that I socialize with outside of work. We go hunting and fishing occasionally, but mostly just meet up at a bar or restaurant after work every Friday to talk shit on our bosses and dog on the qt girls in the office. Other than that, I don't really have many friends. I go fishing with my Uncle a lot and my Brother stays during the week with his daughter. I was married for almost 2 years but we divorced before we had any kids thankfully. We just didn't have the same financial and life goals. I only wanted 1 or 2 kids that we could care for and give them the best opportunity. She wanted a bunch of kids and had no awareness of how they would affect us financially both personally and how we could raise our kids. I guess she thought food stamps and coupons and public schools was acceptable. Were still friendly though. She married some fat guy that's a parks and recs manager or something.
>social life with family
I had a dropping out with most of my family for almost 10 years after my Great-Grandmother died. She raised me like I was her own and couldn't stand they way they did shit. They were already cleaning out her house and putting it on the market while she was laying in there on her bed with Hospice taking care of her. When the house was supposed to stay in the family for my Mother. And then they never gave my Mom or Brother anything, and kicked me out on the streets after buying me a piece of shit car and telling me where the homeless shelter was. But after 8 years I just got tired of holding grudges. I just showed up at my Grandmas house one day. She mentioned how much I've changed and we caught up on things. I still don't talk to them much but I show up around Holidays sometimes.

Yes.
commercial and residential are both very lucrative. There is a company in my town that makes a fortune.

If that was an easy answer, every spic in the country would be a millionair.
I can speak from random experience, but Uline in Pleasant Prairie Wisconsin is paying roughly 15k a month to get the inside and outside of their windows washed.
That said, not a lot of Mexicans are cool with putting on a harness and repelling over the edge of a 10 story building with a squeegee and bucket

Hi guys,
I sold some stuff online and got payment via BTC.
I received 120€ worth of BTC in my Blockchain wallet, just installed the mobile app version up, got the wallet address, sent it to the buyer, he made payment and I was like cool 0.2btc or something like that popped my mobile blockchain account.
Then today like 2 days later when I was about to transfer them, I logged in Blockchain mobile app as usual and there was nothing. My wallet was empty. All gone. 0.00€ and transaction history, nothing. I made no email verification as blockchain suggests and no phone verification either. Can some one fraud them? Also there is no possibility someone get my password etc.
Can the buyer after the payment, back the payment off, like.. im taking the payment back etc.?
Other ppl having similar issues too:

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=426431.0
So what the fuck is up? Is my 120euros gone fuck sake.
There is this site called BitRef https://bitref.com/, and I checked my wallet history there and It was none...
I promise if someone helps to deal with my problem and gets me the 120e worth of btc back, I will send them half of them for
acknowledgment.
For cryptocurrency, every transaction requires a transaction fee. You can do a transaction for free, but it will take a while to get a confirmation which solidifies the transaction. The issue is that before the transaction is solidified, the sender can actually "refund" their Bitcoin by essentially cancelling the transaction.
>>1826850
I'm not sure how blockchain wallet works, but maybe it displays incoming transactions as in your wallet, and the transaction was cancelled.
You may want to go on to the blockchain website (for actual btc) and look up your Bitcoin address to see if there were any transactions placed there.
I'm back to being a nocoincer /biz/ ;_;
it's been about 24hours, I look at the money I've made and I'm delirious, but than I look at the charts and thinking that I can probably 2x (even though it's nothing compared to the 10x I did this year).
I'm sorry, you can ridicule me nao ;_;

But we will never really know what will happen.

What's a reasonable time frame in which to save a deposit for a property?
I'm a recent uni graduate currently have a small part time job. But with the motivation I feel it shouldn't be too hard to find a full time job
I live in Melbourne and have set my sights on a couple of mid to upper class suburbs where a small unit might cost $500k - 1m.
You see articles saying it takes on average over 10 years to save for a deposit here but I think that's greatly overestimating it
By my rudimentary calculations I should be able to save up within 2 years.
I live at home and my only major expense is my car with a few smaller ones like gym and eating out a few times a week. A 10% deposit would be $50-100k and a $20/hour job full time would be roughly $35k a year after tax. I calculate my current expenses currently be no more than $7200 (including repaying the loan for my car). Add in miscellaneous expenses and, as long as I was prudent I could save at least $50k within 2 years.
Who's done this sort of thing and knows what its like? Am I being too optimistic?
brisfag here
In my mind you're better off holding off on the upper class areas to begin with. Instead of buying an apartment, opt for land/house. If you can find an area which you think will develop well over the next 10-20 years and has reasonably priced land available, go for that. No need to spend 500k - aim for something conservatively priced and modest. You'll be able to pay a smaller mortgage off faster this way and have some actual land to show for it at the end of the day. You can choose to sell it later if the price increases (which it probably will), or rent it out and take out a loan on another property. Rinse and repeat and you're laffin. You could end up with several properties generating a steady stream of income.
You can still get that nice apartment later on in life when you can really afford it. No need to live outside your means when you're trying to build wealth.
>>1826462
Good advice, thanks. The size of the mortgage repayments are something to consider. Why would you go for house/land over units?
One of the areas I've got my eyes on is Docklands which I think is bound to increase in value due to its waterfront location and proximity to the CBD (a 2 bedroom currently has a median price of $600k).
But I'm certainly no real estate expert and I'll research it a lot more
>>1826530
Units also have massive strata fees anything with elevators etc your looking at thousands per quarter. Throw in a pool etc forget about it. If its costing you an extra $10,000 a year in fees when first starting that adds up fast in interest and time saved on loans.
Melbourne apartments are in oversupply at the moment, so there will be a lull while prices stabalize a bit. They will one day get up their with Sydney its a wonderful place to live. But if you where to buy a shitty townhouse or house 15 minutes from Melbournes centre you will be looking at massive growth in years to come. Way outstriping what unit growth will have.
Sydney property developer here who's made he's fortune, if threads still alive in morning ask any questions.
Sup /biz/.
I'm a 25 y/o contractor and I've saved up $12,000 USD.
I'd like to know where to begin investing.
My assumption is that low risk investments are the best place to start, but I'm not sure how much of my savings to dump in, or what type of return I'll see. Do you have any advice for a noob?
I have a decent house that I built, and my parents payed for the materials, so there's no interest. The agreement is to pay them back over the next 15 years. Really, this is just a bit of background to let you know that this is my main expense.
Currently making between $38,000 and $50,000 annually, depending on how good of a year I have.
>>1826432
I'd recommend you save atleast $1,000,000 first. Thats what I did.

So lads, here we are. Pre-Brexit, but not for long if all goes as planned. What stocks do you have your eyes on that may plummet and then later rebound for long-holdings? I'm looking to diversify a little, and I'm interested in what other people are thinking.
Also general UK Stocks in the current climate thread, I guess.

kek, well, that's that email address spambotted to hell then. Ahem.
I am liking the mining stocks. Lots with low PE ratios.
Also anything with exposure to India and Africa for the long run.
I'm going to invest in pudding.

Did you buy stocks during the Financial Crisis in 08/09?

I am 50% there, I buy high and then just hold on to them while they lose value. I have no intensions of selling though.
