Hi,

I just recently figured out how to use Premiere, and started uploading a few videos. Felt pretty cool, learning how to do something new, but I dunno...a 2 min video can take me a few hours to perfect sometimes. Trying to be more efficient, but until then...

For you guys that upload stuff to youtube, what's the most efficient method to post a say, basic informational video (still images with audio recording you do)?

I usually record my recording separately, and then join that file onto Adobe Premiere, and then using that I get some free images from like Pexels, and then sort of turn it into something. It kinda works...but its just so time consuming.

tldr: Any tips/advice on cutting down the time it takes to upload a vid to youtube?

Thanks,

-Shameless American Capitalist

I'm the guy who was offering free marketing consulting in a small city in a country of shitty SA. I was struggling and /biz/ said thats because people think free = no value. Since I still had free time tried to focus on the things I have more experience to create anything valuable to other people.

First found people that had problems with writing and offered help for free without success. My english is shit but at least I can write decent scientific reviiew and college tier essay.

Next found that an organization from my college needs accomplished projects to earn points in some rank. Tried to contact them to propose making a copy of the same organization for the students of the college in my city. This would work in theory. Organization gets points, I get experience and something to talk about during an interniship interview, college from my city gets something to advertise. Failed since they never replied my email.

I spent 60-65 hours/week the last two months trying to create something useful to other people but failed. Also my networking went nowhere since people couldn't help me nor point someone who could. Spent 2 months worth of food in meetings and bus tickets and now my mom thinks I'm a crazy dumbass.

At least I was succesful cleaning the house and cooking. Next year if I don't get an internship I'm gonna focus on cooking even better or help people by answering question about a topic I know online. Going out trying to do things without building a name first is a waste of time. Thought that as long as you show value people would cooperate. Maybe I'm fucking up my presentation or maybe you must have a name.

if you have no prior experience to demonstrate competence then why should people pick you even if your free?

You could offer to do it for artists collectives, designers ect theyre always broke but needing things and the end results are demonstrable with things like exhibitions/shows ect that you can point to and say I helped create this

If youre in a city with an art college you could leave flyers around, or advertise on a website like artsjobsuk.
We would have welcomed someone to do our publicity, sort our flyers, contact the press and sort out sponsorship for the drinks for the private view ect. Its not technically marketing but it leaves a trail of experience. If you do websites ect that would also be useful.

Also why not contact studios and pop up galleries ect. theyd love someone to do this for them.

I think you have to do stuff before people want to be consulted at by you, even for free.

>I spent 60-65 hours/week the last two months trying to create something useful to other people but failed

I legit feel like you're doing something wrong or you're not telling us. I work 20-25 hours a week as a freelancer, and I make ends meet.

Did you go to college? What skills do you have? What experience do you have with them? What direction (employment, self-employment, contract work, freelancer, etc.) are you trying to go? How old are you?

>I think you have to do stuff before people want to be consulted at by you, even for free
I have experience from previously projects and my proposition stated that I was interested in learn by doing. The idea was working with the owner to write down what he thinks his business is then choosing a problem and find some BASIC solution. Have in mind that people have really fucked up business ideas here so even stupid ideas could help (like creating a facebook page). In the end the main objective would be teaching the owner on how to see his business, what is market, new method of advertsing, choosing a segment... It would be more like a class than consulting.

>artists collectives
One of my initial ideas for volunteering was trying to create a collective since I see people that work with different mediums but they never cooperate to enhance exposure and promotion. At least if I could go back in time.
>studios and pop up galleries ect
We dont have these things where I live. It is a small city in a poor country.

localbitcoins for cash usually has a markup because the buyers dont want their identities revealed

I suggest spreading your btc to a bunch of paper wallets in 50 USD fractions because thats what most people need anonymously and the markup doesnt affect them as much and selling them in person

wouldnt do SEPA/Bank transfer because of the taxman

Thinking of using my Universities Super Computer to mine Eth, any ideas as to how I could mask the operation as a heavy code compilation or something along those lines?

>>

This but also they would figure out the value of the supercomputer resources you used and make you pay for it, and probably also either confiscate your eth or make you pay them the value of the eth if you couldn't/won't hand it over
>>
>>1831456
Doubt it, the worst they'd do is expel him.

You could make a research assignment re the inefficiency of crypto mining, then just keep whatever crypto you mine.

There has GOT to be some computer skills/jobs that are largely in demand that someone such as myself can develop without going to school for.

I live in Canada, I have some problems with myself that mess with my ability to work a regular job but I am getting help from health professionals.

I really just need to make around $700 USD a month to pay my meager expenses.

I have a friend who's been teaching themselves SQL just on the side and they have already been getting paying side contracts online.

I assume the British PM still plans to trigger article 50 by the end of this month.
Once that happens, do you think we will see the £ strengthen or weaken?

I don't think it'll have an effect at all, since there's no risk buying/holding gbp changing when it gets triggered.

Depends how decisive it is, but it wont do anything big, Itll continue to bounce around rapidly for the next 2 years while they faff about trying to negotiate the way out.

buying a heavy spec truck for live bottom and hauling logs. if i hit rock bottom I can always haul reefers, dry vans, flatbeds, etc. 14.6k front 46k rear axles, 18 speed, leaning towards a freightliner classic. Detroit or Cat.

is this a worth while investment? trucking kind of fell in my lap 3 years ago and I'm running with it.

Hi /biz/,

My friend is launching a product that's a bracelet that turns into a tote bag. It's an eco-friendly alternative for shoppers. He had the tentative name "Braceltote" but thinks there's gotta be a better one. You guys have any name suggestions?

Hey guys I have a question that I don't really know how I should approach asking my dad about but I figured Id ask here first.

Do all trust funds work in the same way?

Do they like provide regular pay outs like stock dividends?

Basically when my dad passes away his trust fund, which is worth about $14 Million will be divided up between his 3 children. He said by that point it would be worth about $3 Million for each of us.

I'm just curious how Trusts even work.

I already have $420K in stock holdings and receive dividends from that.

It depends on what is stated in the Trust documents. There are lot of different types of Trusts that a lawyer can draft up. Some pay out income to you on a monthly basis, some only pay out "as needed", some only pay out for medical/expenses, and some you dont get anything until a certain age.

TL;DR read the trust docs.
>>
>>1831037
Basically this. Also, someone is appointed the trustee and they have a lot of power in terms of any future modifications to how the trust works or resolving any other issues.
