****PREDICTIONS THREAD****
>btc drops to under $540 before end of march amiss today's events
>eth slowly climbs to $21 over the same time

Why would bad news for crypto boost ETH?
And if this isn't bad news for crypto, why won't Bitcoin recover quickly?
>>1849067
crypto will downtrend for the next few years till another attempt is made to legitimize it
a bitcoin etf gets denied like every 6 months
What are your five top indicators you option traders use for your weekly trading?
Mine are:
Option: Delta and Theta
Underlying Stock: Stochastic, 30 DMA, MACD

>Underlying Stock: Stochastic, 30 DMA, MACD
wow, nice job you fucking amateur did you get those strategies in the 101 trading starter pack
>>1849004
I'm an amateur so by no means take this as advice. But I tend to do long calls of 1-2 years on company's I think are undervalued and have large management/directional changes that I agree with. I've been fairly successful, with Tmobile, AMD, Micron, newest purchase is nokia.

I'm interested in hearing about career tracks for management consultants.
I was recently offered an entry level position at a management consulting firm (not MBB, but another global company).
Assuming I accept the offer and work in consulting for a couple to few years, what kind of career prospects will I have after consulting?
What do former management consultants move on to?
>I have no actual skills: the "career"
If you've never actually built anything, worked in a facility, or even handled budgets, you're not a "manager" or worth your title's paper as a "consultant"
Pic related: it's how the world views you
>>1848919
2/10 bait, try harder next time.
>>1848929
List all assets produced by "management consultants" or any "consultant" that isn't compliance or bankruptcy consultation
Bain capital, an actual trasheap that produces star quality like Mitt Romney, the author of Obamacare lite, is the standard bearer of the industry
If that doesn't say all that needs to be said about "management consultants" then what does?
I'm 40, software developer. I recently got interested in money, finance, business. I'm beyond the optimal age to take formal education in these fields, I would like to learn more about them. What books do you recommend? It would be nice to read some books from elementary level to tock exchange practices.
>>1848823
I don't have specific books to recommend right now, but I do know of a great video that explains the basics of finance on a very rudimentary level. It is very worth the watch if you're just getting started. He goes over business structure, what sorts of things to consider when investing, and a bunch of other informative things.

>>1849023
yeah this is a nice watch. i also study his body language
Huh, not that many of us GenX'ers on this board.
(I'm a dev about the same age. Man, getting on in years blows dead yaks)
So, in my mind, there are two things you can put your cash into that are worth a damn. Index funds and real estate.
For index funds, check this article out:

For RE, biggerpockets.com is the place.
Hope that helps
Why is everyone laughing and freaking out over BTC and ETH?
Do you fools not realize this is the perfect time to buy?
>>1848675
ETH is doing well actually. Its always time to buy ETH. Fuck BTC and their stupid etf
>>1848675
>perfect time to buy
The price has hardly dipped, but yeah its always a good time to buy btc

A dip is a dip for the rocket to the moon. I'll take what I can get.
>tfw will never own a $1m+ home
>tfw will be stuck in a basic 3 bedroom 90s suburban style home.
>>1848658
by the time you retire that piece of crap will be selling for over a million.
yeah sure op maybe you
i'm either getting filthy rich by 40 or moving to a remote beach in nicaragua, building a beach cottage for 20-30k and eating fish/fruit all day
You want a million dollar home? Just move to palo alto and buy a 2br 1ba hundred year old shitbox house.
Or move to Vancouver and buy a run-down shed, LOL.
Will ETH dip?
I need to get more but I'm not sure if I should do it now or wait.
>>1848655
THIS IS THE DIP
>>1848679
I don't see a dip
>>1848679
To the moon from here?
Should I buy ETH now or will it dip alongside BTC...?
>>1848636
I would wait, it's just below it's all time high, will definitely have a dip sooner or later
>>1848636
It seems to be doing the best vs bitcoin out of all the major alts
ETH up 17%
Xmr, etc, dash either down or up only 5%
At this point anything bad for bitcoin is good for ethereum.
Look.
Seems like ETH is the hedge of choice
>bitcoin
sell sell sell
>>1848653
No! Don't waste the dip!
