TVIX tracks volatility. It jumps because of big financial shocks, which are difficult to predict. Unfortunately the price will only shrink in the meantime, so you have to get in right at the perfect time, and you could be holding for years.

It's hard enough just understanding the economic and political situation in the US, but TVIX is influenced by every other major country too. If China or Russia has a big bubble which bursts, it'll shoot up. But unless you speak Chinese or Russian, you won't see it coming.

On the other hand, it does tend to peak around significant elections (June 23 and November 8). Hell it even increased for the Dutch election. If you bought a few days before a big election and sold right afterwards, you'd probably make good money.

Since the markets are closed, what exactly happens if I put out a market buy right now for like 50 shares of something, at the last traded price? Will the transaction happen the instant the bell rings monday morning? Can something happen over the weekend that somehow screws me, or benefits me?

1. You go the long option:
- Keep money in the wallet and don't worry about daily fluctuation
- Daily the established alts have UP/DOWN swings due to PUMP/DUMP
- ETH actually has a value that backs it: CPU Time
2. Short option
- Open an account with Poloniex or Bittrex
- Send your money there and play the daily PUMP/DUMP
- May be time intensive
- You can make ~10-20% per day if you trade the PUMP/DUMP or multiple easy fluctuations
- Take a few days to trade with 5 ETH or so to experiment the patterns and not care about losses

ETH takes like 30 minutes to fully arrive in a different wallet, you can check the confirmations during that tho

I guess but i have no skills at all, i turned 150k into 200k via passive investing and a little trading over three years but I inherited the house and initial 150k, i feel like ide be better off if i was forced to work but my cost of living is basically 0 and basically scorn all work and effort. i just go to the gym all day and eat salmon and salad from Costco and never spend money or feel stress so ill live to be 100, but I'll probably run out of money what the fuck do i do
