So how do I go about finding investors and starting a real company?
I got a pretty good idea, it's sort of unique, and the way I intend to execute it will definitely set it apart from anything comparable-- but I need capital.

Keep the spread in mind when deciding what to buy. Cheaper isn't always better.
Have a storage solution worked out. Where are you going to put it?
Buy from reputable dealers. Even then, get some basic equipment to test for fakes (scale, magnet, ruler / calipers)

Isn't spread the difference between what you can buy it for and what you'd be able to sell it for?
That would make cheaper (as in: closer to spot) better.

Can someone tell me what cryptos are good investments?
