Is this legally allowed?

>request an uber ride
>driver is originally 12 minutes away
>drives closer until he's 3 minutes away
>stops there for a long time
>call him via uber app to see if he's lost around the area
>he sends me to voice mail
>call him a couple minutes later
>answers
>tells me he's not my uber driver and that he's on another trip for someone else already
>have no option but to cancel it, since the driver is telling me he's not going to give me the ride
>get a 5 dollar cancellation fee
>couldn't have avoided this fee in any way
>email them back and forth telling them the situation
>they refuse to give me back the money, replying by sending me images with their guidelines, which have nothing to do with my situation
>request a phone number to talk it through to a person with
>refuse and just tell me they'll give me a 5 dollar uber credit
>as if I'll ever want to use their shitty services, with shitty non-existent customer service
>send them one last message asking them how exactly this cancellation fee is "appropiate" since I had no option but to cancel it
>they send me this and tell me they'll close the discussion
>won't see eye to eye, but you get screwed over, case closed

Is there literally anything I can do?

If people think the prices will go up in the future why would the company be selling futures, they would make more money waiting

If people think prices will go down why would people buy futures they would make more money just waiting.

Literally why is the futures market a thing, the will to sell and the will to buy them seem to have opposing factors in why they would be encouraged.

The question of Uber's failure is not if but when; the model of their business makes them assume a large amount of liability. Despite their growth, they've done nothing to counter the sheer legal liability they could run into. Even the best JDs in the country would be ill-equipped to remedy any of their flaws.

This is extremely important because if an employee (or rather, independent contractor) gets in a car accident whilst on the job, and their insurance company is privy that they were using their vehicle and their insurance for a commercial purpose, they will take issue with the claim.

I could see either a driver/employee class action lawsuit or a class action lawsuit on behalf of victims of Uber drivers on the basis of gross negligence.

Again, this may give them some publicity but the moment there is a car accident in one of their self driving units (think the Tesla fiasco), especially if a customer is on board, they'll also appear as extremely negligent.

To rephrase this as simply as possible, the moment a class action suit happens against Uber, their company will be worthless.
