If I had more time to read articles about hype, I'd probably do that.

A mistake I made at the beginning , about 6 months ago, I was reading all I could about crypto.

I thought XMR was the way to go. It had a real use. I didn't understand the real-world applications of ETH yet.

At this point, XMR and ETH were at the same price. I sunk about $2000 into XMR at when it was about $12 each.

If I had just done more digging :/

I dunno if the effects of clean energy will be that noticeable for at least a decade. Also remember that OPEC still is a cartel so they can offset any reduction in demand by drastically reducing output, now if the US become less dependent on oil they probably will produce less domestically which is good for OPEC because it means there are less producers outside of the cartel.

What I mean is: the US and Saudia Arabia's petrodollar is becoming more obsolete when we shift away from oil. Is this why the US has a considerable stake in making sure they lead the clean energy sector? I understand it isn't very linear thinking because just because clean energy offsets the petrol dollar doesn't mean it has anything to do with USD.

I run a small website that I built years ago. Haven't done much with it but it makes me about $150 to $200 a month in pretty much passive income.

In the past I had Adsense ads on it, then switched to selling an ebook that I made. The only maintenance work I do now is responding to the occasional customer email.

If I had more motivation I could definitely put in the work to make more money from it. But unfortunately I'm a lazy neet.

i think about that a lot too, but i think its a good psychological imposition cuz it really forces you to view yourself as a business with risk parameters,etc

Put it in an interest bearing account. It won't be huge gains like an investment, but it's better than not having an emergency fund.

What it all really comes down to OP is what is your appetite for risk? You can make some incredible gains with Crypto in super short amounts of time. it's a double edged sword, the same volatility that can make you quadruple your money can wipe you out. Just do yourself a favour and ignore anything being shilled here and make your own decisions about what you buy into and you'll be fine.
