Hello anons, youngfag here.
As I find many interesting people here older than I, I wanted to ask:
What are the things you wish you had known, had been told, had done while in the beginning of your life, let's say from 16 to 24
The book you wish you had read earlier, a quote that changed your life.. anything is welcomed.

>things you wish you had known
This is gonna be a bit /r9k/-ey, but don't get hung up on a oneitis. People's personalities and appearances repeat after a while if you meet enough people, eventually not only will you find someone who's the same, but find someone who's better. And if you're hung up over a person because of particular memories shared with that person, you can always make new, better memories with another person.

As for financial advice (since this is /biz/ after all), I got nothing. I only started living by myself and investing very recently, so I don't feel like I'm at a position where I can start giving people advice on that topic.

What kind of retard still hasn't understood the importance of LTC and how its undervalued?

Facts:

-BTC is not getting segwit, it will never reach 95% miner consensus
-UASF etc are memes, they could split the blockchain and end up in disaster.
-LTC has segwit activated in 2 days
-Lightnin Network developers already moving to LTC:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mxGiMu4V7ns [Embed]
-BTC will continue getting slower and more expensive
-People will look for the best alternative (a bitcoin clone backed by the Core code but faster and cheaper)
-Additional improvements with segwit including Shnorr sigs, MAST, Confidential Transactions + CoinJoin + Mimblewimble (potentially killing all the other "anonymous coins" that don't scale)

Anyone not balls deep on LTC is up for a rude awakening. I already told you to buy weeks go and didn't listen. I remind you now again how cheap it is.

>BTC Is not getting segwit

idk about that
>>
>>2048868
aslong as bitcoin is centralized in china, it will never enable segwit

gooks will never do more for the same fee

The wonders of PoW coins are truly marvelous
>>
LTC has no need for segwit or lightning

it doesn't have the trafic to utilize it, and it never will have it either

its like building a 5 lane highway through somalia just so one farmer and his 10 child sex slaves can get to the local inn a little faster

Tired of getting screwed over by high volume exchanges (((crashing))) every time you want to make a move?

Come to the comfy low volume exchange of choice. No crashes, no Yobit tier scams. It's your money. You deserve to move it whenever you want.

Real talk. I am not aware of bittrex crashing or freezing withdrawals like the other two. Are you implying that they have pulled these stunts as well?

> mfw when PoSW can't steal anyone's money because they would INSTANTLY lose their ass, people would scream about it from the rooftops

> mfw Polo and Kraken can steal money and nobody bats an eye because they're "Established" and "Big Volume"

Is this the True Redpill? Are we being Cucked by big league centralized exchanges and just assuming the smaller ones are worse for no reason?

PoSW hasn't made their millions yet, they wouldn't dare fuck anything up until it hits at least $1.

Can a vacation be /biz/?

I'm going to Havana, Cuba for a week vacation.

Is there anything I can do networking, or businesswise where I can make some money via this trip?

Infiltrate the communist regime and sell american manufactured goods a a premium
>>
out of all the places in the world why the fuck did you have to pick that one, stop giving money to those bitches
>im cuban

but anyway since you're still gonna go... keep in mind that if you don't speak spanish or have a TRUSTWORTHY friend to guide you, you're fucked

with the right connections you can sell pretty much anything there (even basic things we take for granted here in the us), but again it's very hard to succeed alone (as an foreigner)

also if the airport security finds about your little plans you might also get rekt, but I don't think they'll search an american as intense as they do with cubans

beware of the hoes, they're quite cheap and will certainly get you drunk and steal your money, so keep your wallet light

and lastly if you're trying to import things here, cigars and rum are the way to go

enjoy your trip
>>
>>2048812

thx bro.

I speak Spanish. Have been through Mexico many times. This is my first time in Cuba.

I hate what Castro and communism did but nothing I can do about it now.

>5% being lost

IT IS IMPOSSIBLE TO DETERMINE IF SOMEONE HAS LOST THEIR WALLET OR IF IT IS IN COLD STORAGE, THEY ARE JUST PULLING THIS NUMBER OUT OF THEIR ASS. ALL THE BIG WALLETS THEY MENTION HAVEN'T BEEN TOUCHED SINCE BITCOIN WAS MADE AND ARE MOST LIKELY LOST TOO. IDIOTS.
>>
>>2048417
If there's a recent transaction, then the wallet isn't lost. Decent estimates could easily account for this.

That's how resources work

people ask me why bitcoin is worth the most, it is worth so much because ~50% of all btc is literally in trash somewhere, a lot of early miners just forgot about btc or straight up deleted what they mined and now they can't access it and probably never will.

Why build websites or drop-ship when you can just buy ads get affiliate commissions on amazon or some other ecommerce website. Has anyone tried this, is it profitable ?

Not sure about Facebook but Adwords doesn't allow direct ClickBank links, you need to at the very least make a landing page buffer and even then you will probably still have policy issues.

I know skilled trades are in high demand here in the states, and I was looking to glean some information from some experience people about which would be the best route to follow. Some short info about me:

>be 23
>NEET
>able-bodied (used to lift frequently, probably could still 1RM bench like 205lbs)
>have useless business associate's degree that netted me 0 employment opportunities
>looking for work that i can transform into a business after learning the trade

Skilled Tradesmen, share your stories, suggestions, anecdotes, etc.
There's an Ironworkers union in my city that's desperately looking for people, but I want to hear from others first about what trades make the best business models.

I'm in Canada, but I assume US could be the same: 1. Get experience in whatever 2. Open a side business while working full time 3. Once you have capital make your side business your full time job. 4. Diversify, sticking to one trade is for chumps 5. Once you get big, start bidding on government jobs, hire sub-contractor for those jobs, profit from doing shit all.

Tradesman here.

I would do plumbing or electrical.

Remember, your ONLY goal should be to either start your own company or quickly move up to management in a mega company where you don't have to do the actual work.

That shit will wear your body out FAST.

I have my own so I only work 3 days a week. My buddy is management for an electrical company, he makes about $90k a year overseeing the electrical wiring of a new airport.

Also don't be afraid to travel, or leave your company and work for a new one. Loyalty is dead, follow the money.

Union electrician in nj. After 5 yr apprenticeship, Make 80-90k a year have 110k and counting in annuity, great health plan, pension after retirement, been in 15 years, 37 years old. The more you make the more you spend I'll be doing this shit forever. The hours suck and the work is demanding, not back breaking though. Not bad job though.

Saved up 50k to invest with. Discovered shitcoins and now I wanna play too. Maybe I can change my life if I play it right.

What should I do? Losing all of it wouldn't end me financially... but it would suck real hard.

Do I put it all into BTC and ETH and hold? Or do I dump it all into Ripple and pray?

This is what happens when you check too often. It could just be a bit of a sell-off with profit-taking and then resume its Apollo-like journey tomorrow. The alt coin tide is rising and you will profit by just holding.
