What happened in March 2017 that caused the influx of cash into almost all cryptocurrencies?
Go on bittrex and look at the price charts for the coins with high volume. YOu will see that in March the price just starts increasing and didn't stop.

2. Transfer your BTC to an exchange that allows trading of DGB, such a Poloniex or Bittrex (or any others).
3. Exchange your BTC for DGB and hold for as long as you want.
