Over the last 5 years, how much inflation has there been in the US?
I recieved a letter from my landlord, increasing my rent roughly 5%. He claims the increase is to reflect inflation and that inflation is roughly 5% a year.
Is he right? I'm no expert, but that strikes me as not true.
>>3409201
on paper, inflation is pretty low, like 2% per year
in reality, a dollar's purchasing power is half of what it was in 2008
>>3409201
(((government))) stats say inflation is <2% iirc. Real inflation is much higher, about 20%. Hard to tell bc the Fed's entire job is to keep prices from changing, even if they should.
Your landlord is most likely an idiot who know nothing about contemporary fiscal policy and is is trying to jew you with a lame excuse. if you're a good tenant and its a small apartment, threaten to leave. He won't want to lose a guy who pays on time, otherwise you're screwed.
>>3409508
Yeah, I'm fine with the increase. Its not much, but the excuse of inflation sounded stupid. I'm going to talk to him and argue that he needs to fix some shit if he expects me to pay increased rent.
I know from friends that my place is still a good deal, mostly because it's a shit building in a shit neighborhood. He put it on the market, couldn't get anyone to buy it.
I will sell OMG and QTUM when they reach $20 and NEO when it reaches $30.
Am i doing this right?
>>3409191
No. Those are all arbitrary numbers. It's a step above the retards here who buy high and sell low, but it's still leaving money on the table.
I plan on doind exactly the same and put it all in ARK and IOC.
Maximize your returns. That's how you make more money.
>>3409220
so how do you know when to sell without setting goals
Any hope of ever dropping these bags? I FOMO'd in at about $2 and then wasn't awake for when it crashed that very evening.
better chance of it falling off binance
They're working hard on getting it listed on multiple exchanges. Just this alone will let you recoup.
You'd have to be retarded to sell this coin.
see attached.

Hey is NEO over or something? Has the ponzi scheme been dumped?
Its graph is looking very odd, plz explain
it's over
it's over
it was consolidating pretty well around the 900k region until a bunch of news came out of China and dumped it. this happened twice, and you can see the two dumps on the graph very distinctly.
idiots here will tell you the coin is dead but don't listen. it has a bright future once all the FUD clears up and China allows ICOs and crypto to trade freely again. nobody knows how soon this will happen though.
Hey guys,
I come from a family of farmers and generic low-class people. I've been working in Cali at a fin/tech position and just got a degree from a good school (finance/CS) and want to move to NY to pursue a career in backprop trading.
But I don't know what to wear. I'm not used to dealing with people in high places and I'm worried that I'll come across as gaudy and that my perception of how "wealthy people dress" may wind up being a little much. Should I wear a suit and tie? How much should I shell out? Will they notice if it's cheap? From what I understand, people in the NY financial sector can be as bitchy as politicians when it comes to clothing. I have plenty of dosh to spend on clothes, but I don't want to spend anything I don't need to (OFC it's just fabric that covers my body)
Does anyone who works in "high finance" want to tell me how to dress? How do you dress in your day to day?
>>3408940
Dress like your manager
yes, wear a suit and tie
i work in tech in NYC but i brush shoulders with these guys all the time and they dress as you would expect. i would wear a clean suit without any gaudy flair
>>3408965

what do anons think about this ICO?

Nope
I respect litecoin clone shitcoins more than tokens because they take more effort.
Another TokenCard copy?

Bitcoin Cash has Improved the Yours Network; Payments More Reliable
With full bitcoin cash functionality, transactions on the network run smoother and contain less bugsYours Network Launches Bitcoin Cash Beta --- Adds New Features. According to Charles, “payments are far more reliable now because we don’t have dozens of unfinished payment channel edge cases.” He continued, “the big difference between last month and now is that the app is actually good enough to use.”
This implies users should be able to manage their activity on the platform more seamlessly. The micro-payments provided by bitcoin cash also allowed for lower fees. A press release provided to news.Bitcoin.com explained how bitcoin cash improved the Yours platform. It read:
>>3408874
What the fuck was all that bollocks all about then?
Just over a month in and BCH is seeing increasing adoption by business, increasing adoption by payment providers, and ongoing improvements by the four dev teams.
In the next couple months we will see zero-fee tx's widely supported, and mining pools will likely start setting aside blockspace to ensure zero-fee tx's continue to be processed reasonably quickly into the future.
On the BTC side we see the trolls kicking into overdrive trying to convince people BTC isn't actively dying. Transaction volume is falling and Core is still determined to start lowering the blocksize to keep driving people into SegWit while the excuses really start coming out as to why LN doesn't have any kind of release date.
Buckle up plebs, 2017 will have been the year of the altcoins, and 2018 will be the return of Bitcoin's dominance in the better form of Bitcoin Cash.
Hope you haven't fallen for the Core rhetoric and sold your BCH, things are just about to get interesting.
