"Pump and dump" cryptocurrency schemes are illegal, and enforced by the SEC. If prosecuted, this can lead to jail time and fines.

If you look at it that way, then yes. All *monetary earning* is a ponzi scheme owned by the government who owns the fiat. The only reason it looks so transparent in crypto is because it is more transparent and lacks the "austere" or "prestige" of a big government. On top of that, more people are asking the question, "What is money?" and they're finding out that *their* answer doesn't necessarily align with their government's.

Hey pajeets, we decided to start our own 4chan official crypto pump group
Our goal is to pump coins, but not mindlessly like most pump groups are. They're destroying the market and their members. We keep it simple and pick out coins that have something to look forward to. (ANS had a recent conference and was fairly easy to pump).
Doing this allows us NOT to be dumped on and allows our group to all take the profit. We scout Crypto news and once we have enough members soon we will all be profitable.

My theory is that most people are impatient, and wire transfers don't work in many countries on the weekend.
People tend to buy coins as soon as fiat arrives and take coins off exchanges right away.
Usually by Saturday afternoon / Sunday morning a crash means that most people can't get fiat on exchanges.
However, some big price gains have happened on the weekend sometimes in bulk markets, less frequently than dips, so stay on your toes

I am a proud degen who gamled on NMR and ended up with a bag and red dildo up my ass.
I bought at .029, sold at .055 and got really smart and - went in again (to get even more rich) at .065
Nice.
What I want to know is how did they make money? The coin went up 2x or 3x in hours...and then started to tank, for days...
Is it really...that simple? They profited off of greedy plebs like me? People who thought "it will go up forever"?
