>LISK is filling the technical gap that other platforms like ETH or Stratis is unable to solve:
The flexibility of SQL. Relational systems are also great at ad-hoc queries, which the other systems are notoriously bad at
The robustness of relational databases. Relational databases have been the power-horse of software applications since the 80s, and continue so to this day. Bitcoin and Ethereum blockchain database are experimental
Leverage existing skills without requiring developers to learn unique techniques to create blockchain apps. It reduces cost of development, time-to-market and has lower barrier of entry to outside developers. That's how Android beats Apple's iOS
JavaScript for the whole stack. It can be a very attractive feature to millions of JavaScript developers.
Flexibility of sidechain-based development model. Developer can customize everything he wants to fit his vision and business model. Start-ups or big corporations will like it very much.
Enhanced security by isolation. The main chain is isolated from other sidechains. Also, each sidechain defines its own data model, data storage and security model. Therefore, the failure of a chain has no impact on the others.
Linear scalability for blockchain applications, based on optional share-nothing architecture. Bitcoin, Ethereum have limited scalability because of their mandatory share-everything architecture.
Support both permissioned and permissionless blockchains
Worry-free upgrades – Sidechain developer is free to upgrade their application, change data structure, algorithms without affecting other sidechains and the main chain. It is very developer-friendly. It makes LISK a less risky platform to develop applications on

Next moon mission by next decade?
so I read a book about the basics of investing and the stock market and it mentioned mutual funds.
a group that will buy/sell stocks for you, The book was from the 90's and American (while I'm a bong) so I'm weary that some of the terminology might be different. When I searched for them here I found something called 'fixed rate bond'. I'm not sure if it's something similar or not.
so I'm asking if anyone has tried them and how did it turn out?
I was thinking of trying it out with a small amount at first, around £100
spend that 100 on your tv license instead, ahmed

maybe i should invest in in a burqa company.
find one that is no load no transaction fee. invest into it every week. if you going one time only pick an etf they have less fees typically and trade like a stock instead of once a day like mut fund.
pajeet told me to buy insane coin so i did, how fucked am i?
daily reminder that bitcoin's market cap is only 0.5% of golds, which is literally just a fucking useless mineral.
If btc hits even 5% of gold's market cap, it'll be worth $20,000 per coin
Gold is still more useful than Bitcoin
