You will instantly regret that decision. Rose to $5 then to $10-12 shot up to $60 will consolidate around $17-19 shoot up 60+

Hey /biz/, /tg/ here with a tax question for you.
I know that you need to report hobby income and that you can only deduct hobby expenses up to that income, but there isn't much guidance on the topic.
What would you make of the following three examples?
1. You pay $5 to enter a tournament, you win $30 store credit and a card worth another $10.
2. You pay $5 to enter a tournament, you win 5 packs of cards (total MSRP $20). Upon opening the packs, you find that you have cards worth $30.
3. You pay $25 to enter a tournament and receive 6 packs of cards (MSRP $24) to actually play with (as in, not winnings). You win $30 and the value of the cards comes out to be only $10.
What would the income and expense be for each example?
>>3461937
> 1. dont report it
> 2. don't report it
> 3. you don't report it.
None of these would qualify for mandatory reporting, And even if they did no one is going to give a flying shit if you reported your 30$ tournament win. This has to be the most normy question i've ever seen.
>>3461937
go watch alpha investments you cuckle fuckle
>>3462105
Thanks for not actually answering the question.
>>3461893
I daytrade about fifty different coins on six different exchanges

I'm glad you're retarded; it just makes my job easier
Why the fuck are stoner coins mooning?
>>3461801
cos they are so off their trolley that they have no idea wtf is happening and keep buying
yay full circle. now wait for everything else.
>>3461801
i don't know why, but whenever one of them moon; the other ones follow suit.
there was a point like a month or so ago where all of them were at the top of bittrex
maybe pump groups?
Any Steemit niggers here I should follow?
steemit is gayer than leddit, if you can believe it

What will /biz/ be like when people finally realize all altcoins are scams?
a mad scramble to get new people to fall for the scams.
so no real changes here.
>>3461746
Hopefully RICH AS FUCK, NIGGA
Altcoins as money, even 9 years later, are all still shitty reiterations of Satoshi's algorithm and don't really improve it at all. No decentralized coin has managed to solve the issues issues of scaling, fees, speed, stability and bank bottlenecks. Bitcoin has its benefits and flaws and literally all altcoins are destined to follow its path eventually anyway as far as the algorithms go. This is why when it comes to cryptos as money we watch Bitcoin and fuck everything else. Eth and Monero are perhaps the most useful spinoffs of Bitcoin, but both are destined to share BTC's flaws as currencies.
Make it stop please, I am poor

Chino isn't awake yet,
Go listen to Logic to get you through this
>>3461650
I'll never understand the desperation, the carelessness, the stupidity of going all in on something in this market....
>ARK
Not for long
When will this shit die?
It's been known for a long time this was a ploy to fuck over ethereum from the big bitcoin miners, but there's literally no purpose now other than as a top ten PnD coin. Don't understand
some day people will start making dapps on it and it will explode.
>>3461647
>>3461647
I disagree. It's no longer just an ETH clone, except for the contracts. The economic system is like BTC. I'm holding a decent chunk of it long term because I expect it to take off once Metropolis-Byzantium or Casper drops.
How do you use market cap to decide what coins to buy?
I look for coins with low market cap that aren't a total shitshow and pray to the gods of gains
>>3461649
thanks
>>3461807
Post more cute animu waifus pls
Ok biz, explain this. The whole market is in absolute freefall today, but WTC price is stable as fuck, going up at times even.
How and why is this possible?
Why wouldn't it be possible?
Somebody convinced the buyers.
>>3461571
Because everything is falling across the board. BTC is getting hammered, so is ETH, alts are falling because people are not sure about crypto.
This is manipulation at its finest, either a whale or the dev team is propping the price against the market
you know why
Anyone else more happier in life after finding crpyto trading and a new hobby?
Yes I find it an efficient and value hobby, I spend only a few £10's for over a week of entertainment. I eat one coin every time I win a big jackpot.
>>3461551
For sure brosif, i'm nearing my 30s and this is the best hobby i've had in the past 10 years. Im a massive wageslave since 22, and crypto is my closest simulation of running my own biz
No.
I want to go back to fapping and watching anime.
This is too stressful.
WE
