Litecoin - It's on coinbase so normies will buy, it'll probably get lightning network first, has charlie lee working on it full time.

Decred - Small circulating supply with talented dev team, proof of stake allows holders to vote on changes to the blockchain so it effectively solves bitcoins governance issue. Getting LN soon.

ETH - should be good as a long shot but the ICO's are fucking it up.

First 2 are reliable, ETH is not, but it'll likely go up in time.

MakerDao (MKR). Serious people doing serious work.

Internet of Coins (not no exchanges yet). Team already ran a smaller version of it before, and generated dividends for their holders of about 1% a month.

E4ROW (Etherdelta). Dev team builds games where people play and gamble on outcome. House cut of 2% is divided amongst token holders. If they get popular, dividends forever.

Those are 3 serious coins with serious (like, actually serious) dev teams behind them.

I hold 2, just not E4ROW yet, but I will be because they're coming out with texas hold em, rather than a basic version of poker and that should increase their viability.

As to "gambling" coins, Antshares didnt drop during this crash. It's being held up hard. Might be good to hodl for six months and see what happens.

Other coins that I know have a serious dev team but I would need to scrutinize more, SiaCoin is one.

I think if you want to buy and hold try to imagine what infrastructure would need to be in place to facilitate trading hundreds of coins...you know what I mean? I mean exchanges. So that's MakerDao, intenret of coins, another one to look at is NVO, which will work on Maidsafe which is a crazy crazy idea for a decentralized internet. But yeah, I've shilled all of my coins but I know for a fact these people are all very serous, have a track record, aren't fuck ups etc. Only ones I'm not sure of and dont own are Antshares (sold mine a few weeks ago, but looking to get back in soon), and Siacoin.
