Should have shorted instead of bought dipshit
I got an internship at an asset management company starting in a few day
I am doing an engineering degree and I know nothing about finance, accounting or economics
I tried doing the finance stuff on Khanacademy but they are pretty much useless because they do not go into enough depth and some concepts are not explained well enough
What are some good online sources or books to get gud at finance from scratch?
I'm using coursera but I am also like you so I can't confidently say it's what I'll need to succeed
>>2926879
according to my friend whose been doing internships for these types of company for 4 years now through uni, you will likely not do anything at all and edit some papers; spending 99% of your time on your phone
Any /biz/ advice for the younger guys? Just went 19 fresh out of high school and want to ensure I can break out of the rat race of wage slavery

>getting crypto investment advice on an anonymous message board
You guys realize how ridiculous that is right?
Even reddit would be a better place for investment advice since you can at least check a user's history to see if he's full of shit or not
>he believes he will make money "investing"
You can check a tripfag's history on 4chan faggot.
We had the alt pump, now wait a day for the dip. Thank me later
Dont buy high now or get rekt
WE ARE THE ECC-MARINES
AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH FUCK ICO'S THEY'RE ALL FUCKING SCAMS
>>2926439
Well 98% are.
Look for the most discrete and secretive ones that never get shilled. That's where the little gems are.
Avoid like plague over-hyped ICOs like Stox, Bancor, Status, Eos etc
>>2926439
Basically.
Fingers crossed for Metropolis by September.
Should have bought SIGT
So what's the current laws in place regarding crypto insider trading?
>>2926422
Trade on knowledge
Transfer to XMR
Go to btc/ltc/something else
Win
>>2926422
Its not insider trading.
Cryptocurrency is considered property.
If you know that the price is going to go down for your property then you can sell it before then. There is no law about inflating or deflating property values.
I'd like your advise /biz/.
I'll attend university after summer, and I can loan extra cash from the government without interest. There's a maximum of about 1035 euros a month, study takes four years.
In what should I invest the money that I don't use
(most of it probably)?
I've heard people mention storage lockers in the centre of town, to be rented out as garages.
Perhaps some government bonds?
It has to be low risk, interest isn't that important since the student loan doesn't cost me anything.
Thoughts?
What should a new graduate with a degree in economics/finance do to find a job in the financial sector? To put it simply, what sort of entry level jobs should I be searching for, so that in 5 years I would be working as an investment analyst?
My thoughts:
>work towards my CFA
>pad up my resume with investment related stuff (i was in this investment club, etc)
>apply for teller jobs at big banks to try and get my foot in the door and hopefully impress my managers
>try and network if I get a job in a big bank
I don't have any related financial experience, just part time jobs at retail stores.
>>2926342
Don't apply for teller jobs at banks. Apply for financial analyst jobs at underwriting firms (the ones who control who the banks give money to). You've got a degree, use it.
>have accounting degree
>want a job, any job
>can't fucking land a single thing
>have a ton of interviews
>they all want me to come up with examples of my experience in x y or z
>right on my resume that my experience is one tax-preparation stint and fucking starbucks
>they act disappointed in facts they already fucking knew
>these are literally entry level jobs that should not need fucking experience
>they seem to have enormous expectations for me but the jobs are shit and the pay is fucking shit
>no matter what I say in an interview I can't seem to please them
>they pay poverty wages that would barely allow me to live
>keep getting passed over by assholes with 200 years experience
>think about killing myself every day
>think about shit I can't admit to online
For god's fucking sake you fucking assholes. I'm in debt up to my eyeballs and will have to beg for food in 3 months if I don't get a job. Why is this world so fucking shit? I've been turned down for god damned DATA ENTRY jobs. If there was a cliff in a bikeride's distance from me I would jump off it at this point.
>>2926740
Oh, here's something fun. Apparently this is a breakdown of where recent accounting grads similar to me end up. Half of people are in sales or customer service, aka min wage. A good third are unlisted, presumably unemployed.
Please fucking kill me.
