We lost $2000 in the space of two weeks from China FUD, then made a little less than half of it back in about four hours with no sign of slowing down.
I didn't sell at the high. I'm bullish on crypto in the long run, and I figured I missed the best chance to sell so I'd just go along for the ride. I bought the dip and added another .8 BTC to my position, but this is ridiculous. What if I had sold at 3100? How the hell am I supposed to guess when the fucking moon mission begins?

Your coins aren't creating any additional value, they aren't producing anything, the fluctuating price is just determined by hedge funds supply and demand at the current day.
It's not more than a mere speculation, no different than playing blackjack, poker or roulette.

ETH was as high as 250k in Gdax on the way down. All the way down. That's pretty decent volume.
It's now 720k on the way back up. Fake dump and real pump now is far, far more likely than what you're suggesting.
