Hey guys, I have a lot of learning to do. I don't own any coins, nor do I understand the majority of jargon which is used on this board. I am a smart kid, with lots of free time on his hands. What is the most efficient way to start wrapping my head around this beast? I feel like a complete pleb for not having gotten involved a lot sooner. Assuming I have 0 knowledge of crypto markets whatsoever, where would be the best place(s) to start learning from scratch?
One thing I seem to grasp is not to be carried away with hype over certain coins and trying to make money fast, rather trying to make a few solid, wise investments with what little capital I have. There is a girl at my uni who is a bitcoin broker, should I buy through her?
Sorry for what is probably an all-too-common post around here. If anybody can point me in the direction of some good places to start learning, it would be much appreciated.

Well. I've been there. It was fucking terrifying. Luckily I lost only like 300$ after I cashed out. So no big fucking deal. But lesson learned. It wasn't even most expensive lesson of my life. So it was definitely worth it. Now I'm ready.

I first looked into bitcoin when it was 450USD/BTC and almost put 20k in, im really kicking myself now for not doing it.
Bitcoin has gone up so far so fast in just the last couple months, do you guys think it's going to keep going up, or do you think we'll see a dip here anytime soon?
I wanted to wait until they dropped to 3800 or less to buy, I don't want to buy high and be a bag-holder but after today I'm skeptical if they'll come back down.
What do you guys think, am I too late for the 3800 bitcoin? am I giving into FOMO if i buy now? Do you guys think I should I buy now or do you guys predict a dip in September?
Any advise for a crypto-noob like me?

I don't understand why litecoin is worth $60 and vertcoin is only worth 80 cents
vertcoin has decentralized mining while litecoin is a bitmain coin like all the bitcoins
vertcoin has a fair distribution (same as litecoin) and a community consensus to remain ASIC free therefore maintaining decentralized mining
I believe this coin will get it's due as the gap between the average miner and ASIC warehouse miner widens. As the currencies become more centralized and code upgrades are in the hands of mining cartels
