Lyme Disease. Stay away from ticks, anon.

I've been there a few times.

A job
>>
>>1124249
Shit. Sorry mate. I've heard that one's bloody horrible.
>>
>>1124249
Lyme's. Damn.

Why not get a pet? I know you said it was ticks that caused it...but there's non furry pets. Snakes. Frogs. Birds. Get one you think is cool I guess.
>>
>>1124403
i used to have a tarantula and a praying mantis as a pet it was pretty cool
>>
>>1124294
>>1124403
Yeah, I've never been the type to make these sort of threads, but I'm bored out of my mind. I'll have to look into some pets that I could get for cheap, since I have no clue when I'll be able to work again. Thanks, anons.
>>
>>1124421
Ah that's cool. I used to have a stickbug.

If you are tired of pets why not travel? Doesn't have to be far. It could even just be a bus to the nearest bookstore. How do you sustained yourself if you can't work by the way?

Ah, that was another anon. But, I'm 19 and still live with my mum. I had plans to move out, but I had to quit my job six months ago, since it got so bad. I honestly don't understand how anyone can be a neet. It's so boring.

>>1124510
/biz/ please go
>>
>>1124517
Good to know you have support. Hopefully the disease goes away soon.
>>
>>1124453
Not sure if it'd interest you, but maybe a creative hobby might help ease the boredom. I was thinking drawing/painting or writing - neither require lots of energy or prolonged periods of activity, but both can be disheartening to start out. Anyway I hope you find something man, and recover before too long.

>>1124609
Thank you, anons.
>>

you have to find something youre passionate about. try out all kinds of hobbies, you probably wont like most of em but you never know till you try! i didnt find anything i enjoyed whatsoever until this year (i'm 21), now I spend as much time on it as most people do a job.

a good place to start if youre lost imo is game devving, because there's so many skills involved (3d/2d art, programming, music, graphic design, even writing stories for it). Also, another good plan would be to try learning about random subjects. watch a bunch of online course videos for stuff and see if anything perks your interest. for a friend who was in a similar place, they found enjoyment in self-improvement, and do boatloads of meditation and reading about various religions.
>>
what does the Lyme disease do to you op?
>>1124249
>>
>>1124175
Learn an instrument, build circuits, program, learn a language, translate stuff, you can do a lot, assuming lyme disease doesn't mess up your brain.
>>
>>1124642
Thank you for the suggestions. I used to like writing, but I lost interest.

>>1124782
I have a lot of symptoms, but the most painful ones are: chronic fatigue and migraines. And, I'm not over-exaggerating when I say chronic. I have had the same migraine 24/7 for 4 years now. I could sleep 12 hours and still fill tired as shit. I also suffer from memory loss and what some people call "brain fog", which basically means I can't remember things very well and I have a hard time learning basic tasks. There are more, but those are just the worst ones.

>>1124844
Se above. I've tried learning programming in the past, but I just couldn't get it down. I actually took a course in electronics at a college when I was still in High School. Lyme just makes it harder for me to learn and remember shit.
>>
>>1124882
i was trying to not recommend drugs but that seems bad enough ill recommend drugs. weed and dissociatives are good to try for making you enjoy things again if you're getting anhedonia. as it seems like youve lost interest in everything you used to like to do, if im reading you right from your posts. though perhaps you're already prescribed a boatload of stuff.
>>
>>1124882
Do you have medicine for Lyme disease?
>>
>>1124882
also op this may sound weird but maybe Making balloon animals
>>
>>1124951
>>1124995
I've taken too many to list off of the top of my head, but I'm taking Metronidazole, NP Thyroid, and Fludrocort right now. Why do you suggest balloon animals? It's not a bad suggestion, but I am curious on the story behind it.

>>1124925
It's funny that you say that. I've heard things about people doing weed to lessen their pain. Where I live, though, it's not legal. I've also thought about trying Kratom since it's legal here, but I can't imagine that it's a very strong drug.
>>
>>1124175
Shitpost.
>>
>>1125079
not that ive done balloon animals but it looks fun and looks like a good time waster. + you can give them to people at festival for money and shit

kratom is an opioid with all the weight implied. its not gonna be as strong as hydrocodone or oxycodone but i'd say its stronger than codeine (some folks like codeine more though, it's about the best comparison overall). so you will get tolerance and physically addicted you will go through withdrawals if you are dosing daily. its great for motivation and energy and feels great at first but if you are going to be using it daily for pain relief, you are going to be addicted to opioids and it will start to lose magic and all that stuff. it also might make you a bit pissy like other opioids do, but i never got that from it. what it has over other opioids besides being weak-ish is that it's insanely hard to OD because the respiratory depression is a lot less, and all-in-all if you are going to go the opioid route, kratom is so, so much better than anything else (even codeine) for not royally fucking yourself over by using it (mildly fucking yourself over, yeah, if you're irresponsible with it).

it might help you a lot, but this just makes it even harder to not use daily. but just remember, the benefits will lessen the longer you stay on it and the more days per week you are using, and if you do try it, take as many breaks as possible so you can keep the benefits going as long as you can. ideally you could just use weekends or at most like 3 or 4 days a week, then you will have very few downsides for quite a while, especially with a 1 or 2 month break on occasion.

but i would recommend weed more, weed is a lot better long-term if it will work well enough for you. id recommend it enough i'd say its worth risking legal trouble to try it before trying kratom. this is mostly because, with kratom, it's very hard to keep yourself from dosing daily especially if you have a reason you're taking it, and then it stops working as well.
>>
>>1125079
also if youve still got doubts as to how strong kratom is, a friend of mine with some pain problems has been on it a couple years after using it to quit fentanyl and morphine and loves it. of course he was already in the deep end and used it to get out, the question is, do you want to dip your toes in or stay out?
