OP, for every hour over 40 the dept of labor requires that you get paid double your normal pay. Ask your boss if you can be paid for overtime and if says no then report that SOB. As long as you're not a salaried, and are hourly employee this is 100% illegal. Report to your state dept. of revenue/work, as well as the federal dept. of labor. I would recommend you actually go to this 'training' as in the end you may be entitled to more compensation then if you just flat out refuse.
