I have two problems 1) I'm always stressed as fuck. I can never really relax, overthink shit, lie awake half of the night, stress-eat etc. 2) I can't concentrate at all. It's studying time and it's very important, but my brain is always drifting around, never really focusing. Even as I'm writing this, my mind wanders to music and films
/B/ro, weed can and will absolutely help you. I know because I'm in a very similar boat as yours and weed always calms me down and lets me enjoy existing. The downside is once you're out (which I have been for the past week and been going insane) it can end up hurting you more, so it's definitely a double-edged sword.
Not to mention to get weed you need money, to get money you either need a job or NEET bucks and I have neither. I find ways to get money but it's never enough, either way though it's a vicious cycle, but that's drugs for you.
Anyway hopefully I score some more tonight. My friend flaked on me all fucking weekend and my fucking shitty fucking computer has been blue screening like mad this past week and my stress levels have never been higher.
if I ever do kill myself, I've decided that I'm taking this cunt of a machine with me. It's a shitty alienware PC I bought in 2013 for $6,000 when I actually had that kind of money, and I didn't even have it a year before it started giving an "uncorrectable hardware" BSOD randomly. And now it's on its last legs b/c it does it way way more and like I said, if I do an hero this fucking sand nigger-assembled piece of pakistani shit is coming with me. bet that.
Sorry for rambling. I'm probably autistic as fuck, but it's also b/c I really really really want some more fucking weed and I'm going insane.
maybe you shouldn't smoke weed after all b/c you don't want to end up like this bro trust me gosh damn someone kill me already
>>739082631 idk anything about ritalin, but yeah, weed seemed to do the trick for him. like i said though, he's a druggie and is going absolutely nowhere so, if you want, go for it. I've smoked weed, it's pretty fun, and when i get more cash, i might buy some more. definitely an expensive hobby though. if you want thc, i suggest eating edibles instead of weed, or vaping weed, those seem to give you more bang for your buck. also, when you vape weed, you can use the avb (already vaped bud) to make cannabutter, which is used to make edibles.
>>739081846 Y-you clearly have an anxiety d-disorder that is impacting y-your cognition. Ask y-your GP or PCP t-to refer you to a psychologist for Cognitive Behavioral Therapy t-to fix that anxiety up <4
>>739083276 I'm already taking anti-depressants, but they work soooo slowly, I'm looking for something that reacts fast I only need it for about 2 weeks, after the exam I'll be much more relaxed and if not, it's no big problem, but atm it's really annoying
>>739081846 well, maybe see if you have some kind of stress disorder with a doctor but right now, try zen-type quiet mind meditation. Sit in an easy position, but upright. listen to your breathing, try to take deep breaths but not so deep they can't be in a easy rhythm. Notice your thoughts but try to let go of them, don't dwell. Set a timer, start with two minutes. Just keep letting go of your thoughts, practice that. It takes practice but over time it's the best way I've found to deal with that thought-racing anxiety.
And that's quite harsh, especially for a musician; what instrument do you play? There are many forms of treatment for tinnitus, especially mild forms. Perhaps getting custom earplugs or inner ear headphones would be an adequate solution for you; I've seen them be very effective on musicians.
>>739084908 These w-were extraordinarily helpful f-for me: https://www.amazon.com/Bedphones-Gen-Ear-Sleep-Headphones/dp/B017GLFG2C
If you c-carefully adjust the gray noise as the instructions in m-my link state, you should be able to s-sleep much sounder.
As well, ask your doctor for a small script of Alprazolam, also known as xanax. This c-can significantly reduce the effects (with the added side effect of drowsiness, so be sure to take it after work).
>>739085131 I mostly play saxophone and guitar, but I can play other string instruments as well. I actually had earplugs for when I play, but I lost them some time ago. That's probably the cause of the slight ringing and weird noises I hear at times.
>>739085762 I know what you mean but I've literally never known what it's like to not have the ringing in my ears and it's never bothered me except one awful time after I knew there was a life better than this. I didn't even know for the first 20 or so years that there was even an thing wrong with my hearing.
>>739085867 Helping t-the individuals in this thread <4 Though it appears t-the anxiety anon has been adequately helped.
>>739085974 It s-still causes a great d-deal of stress hormones and other such t-things to be released. It's s-still a problem and s-should still be fixed.
>>739086028 While ejaculation d-does reduce stress levels, it is q-quite clear this anon has an anxiety disorder; you should n-not be unable to relax or lay awake half of t-the night simply by being an adult.
>>739086113 I understand but there's not really a cure. I'll never be rid of it and I'm generally okay... I don't know what I'd do. I'm not that miserable but... Oh well. Thanks for your thoughts, sorry I wasted your time.
>>739086221 No fuck that. I had serious anxiety issues when I was a teenager, severe OCD. I still have some trouble from time to time but managed to cope through a combination of cognitive behavior therapy and anti depressants.
I don't know if this is of any use to you but I have been through the ice blood, white knuckle absolute terror of panic attacks too.
>>739088177 I took ADHD medicines ranging from Adderall to Ritalin to Celexa or some shit and even had Clonidine for bed. I know what I'm talking about. If he takes Ritalin, it'll amp him up and there is A HIGH CHANCE of permanent ticks when taken for prolonged periods. Where are you getting this shit?
>>739089598 It came out in the fucking 90s. I'm not gonna dig for hours to tell you what my physician told ME when he switched me to Adderall. Little did he know, Adderall can also cause tics. Just Google the shit, because, apparently, 4chan thinks my sources are spam.
>>739090606 >especially with anxiety >Ritalin and other stimulants are highly effective treatments for ADHD, but probably not useful in this case due to the anxiety issues. seems you are in violent agreement?
>>739090660 Don't post Alice pics if you're not her, then. Eh, faggot? I came in offering my first hand experiences with stimulant medication and you just taunted me because I don't have a fucking peer-reviewed study from the 90s memorized.
