Checked. No seriously, what is the bottleneck issue? I didnt game for a long time and my current desktop is 9 years old. I ordered a new one on monday but kept the old 1900x1060 screen. Will I have problems?
>>736654499 Not about seeing increased fps, It's about inputting actions and having your pc input your functions quicker to your screen. I t's a feeling thing not a seeing thing. You're probably playing on a 60hz monitor and never experienced a 144hz monitor. Must feel bad being poor.
>>736654499 You can perceive more than 60 frames in a second but it's certainly closing in on the asymptote at that point. This is undeniable although the actual peak is ambiguous and of course has diminished return.
>>736654346 If it's 9 years old probably not, go to the advanced display settings (on windows) and find the display adapter properties, then click monitor. It should range from 60hz to 144hz. If it doesn't, you don't have a 144hz monitor. There is a noticeable difference between 60hz and 144hz.
>>736655439 >>>/g/61028032 these faggot nerds can help you i think you'd want a 1070 if you're looking to play at 144fps but i'm sure a 1060 will still do the job and i'd get a monitor 144hz or not because a 9 year old flatscreen probably has quite a bit of display lag
>>736653972 Most monitors have a 60hz refresh rate. This means the screen can only display the images at 60 frames per second. for a higher price you can get a 144hz monitor. It's typically something you have to specify when searching for the product. A 24" 144hz monitor from ASUS runs $200-$250. Higher refresh rate means you have a higher fps ceiling, meaning you can effectively utilize the potential of your CPU & graphics card (gpu). So if you have a CPU/GPU combo capable of performing above 60fps then the bopttleneck is your monitor, as it can only display a max of 60 frames in a second.
>>736654845 I would have gone with a R5 1600 as the system would have cost less overall and performed on par/better in almost every application, especially when the tasks or games are multi-threaded. but the rest looks awesome, if you want a good minimalist case the NZXT S340 is a good one
I am 24 now and started gaming on a PC at age 13 with World of Warcraft, now I am more into guns and cars but some buddies wanted to play especially the new rising storm so I gave in and just bought a middle class PC like the website suggested.
>>736657111 yeah kid you obviously don't know what you're talking about most monitors have very high refresh rates because it's easy to make them like that and they would have to go out of their way to lower it but nobody can tell because you can't see more than 60hz
>>736657325 No dude, you don't know what you're talking about. The refresh rate determines how often the screen needs to draw new data from the input source (input = graphics card + other necessary hardware for rendering, you dipshit). This affects not only fps, but how quickly player actions are displayed on screen from the time they are triggered. Secondly, your claim that it is easier to make higher refresh rate monitors is completely unsubstantiated. You have provided no source for that claim and the data in terms of monitor sales indicates that you are wrong. But assuming everything you're saying is true, just for the sake of argument, let's say it is easier to make those monitors. Clearly the manufacturer must be going out of their way to lower the refresh rate, as most PC monitors are 60hz monitors. Why would they do this, if according to your argument, it is detrimental to the company? Because they have now created an artificial novelty in the form of a higher hz monitor, which can be sold for more. So even if your retarded claim that it is easier to produce a higher refresh rate monitor were true (which it isn't as every action past a certain number of actions requires more and more material to support those actions in a device), it is in a company's best interest to produce less of them and to lower the refresh rate of their most popular models because "people can't see it anyway" and they can therefore sell the higher hz models for more creating a higher tier good, a superior product.
tl;dr, you're a retard who seemingly cannot apply critical thought to your ideas. Fuck off.
>>736658886 Yeah I am buddy I tried hard to make that sound as ridiculous as possible so you would understand that I wasn't serious with the first one I really hope you didn't spend that much time typing that shit
>>736658682 That looks fine to me, I don't see any real issues besides the possibility that the GPU could have the potential to perform better than the CPU allows it, but I really don't have much experience with AMD processors so do not take my word for it. Do some research my dude
