God tier album thread
Domination was Dime's best solo, prove me wrong.
>Looks at vulgar display of power insert
>Love diamond back
>Hears some faggot named dime bag died
>Who the fuck is that
>Mfw diamond back changes to dime bag
> No great loss
Metal is all just screaming
Billy Joe can solo better than whoever this "Dime" guy is. Just uses distortion to hide it makes.
Example of actual god tier album
Mike Dirt is better than the shitty bassist for Panera
Beautiful, just beautiful
what the fuck is wrong with your shitty mall skateboard taste? green day is fake as fuck
GnR kept it real through the years, slash is the real god
gotta love my german dad's best record
Outkast - Atliens
Altering the futuuuuuurrrrreeeee
Your opinion sucks - my opinion
It's the best 90's soundtrack ever. Each song is both instrumentally & lyrically an absolute masterpiece + you get to hear patrick swayze gift the world angelic sound that is his voice
>listening to this faggot shit in 2017
Nice contribution. I think we all learned something from this post. This was a good post. It really hit all its objectives. You did good with this one. Great post by the way. I hope to see more posts like this in the future. Man that's a swell post right there.
Infernal War - Conflagrator. I was to go with the preceding record 'Redesekration' but this slays!!
Live in a hole.
No good(attack the radical)
Revolution is my name.

I dont listen too it now but back when it came out in 2006 this was my shit and to this day its just got so much nostalgia too it that its probably my favorite album, now they are just shitty faggots who look like they are the tunnel snakes from fallout
What do you guys think is the best Pantera album? pic related
Pantera doesn't have a bad album
Dunno if it classifies as an album as such but I can't pin one of their studio albums over the others.
Took my missus of 16 years to see Opeth earlier this year, venue sucked dick, always love seeing Opeth though.
Woe to you, oh Earth and sea, for the Devil sends the Beast with wrath
Because he knows the time is short
Let him who hath understanding reckon the number of the Beast
For it is a human number, its number is six hundred and sixty six
Best Metal Album of All Time
Heh, I got into it as an adult also, the fact I'm still a diehard metalhead means I'm probably still classified as edgy
It's less heavy/hardcore than it was but I still love the shit out of Opeth. Saw them earlier this year and Sorceress was epic live, struggled to get into the album a bit but it's grown as hell on me now.
Jazz might be America's gift to the world, but fuck the Japanese mastered this shit.
I'm literally listening to that album right now lmfao
one of the best shows I went to crowd energy wise was the first album tour 'bill?' I like elastic firecracker out of all the albums though, got to hang out with tim for a bit when they came on that tour.
If you're pissed off about everything every second of the day like need this of the shit for you
Thier only good album
Time of your life is one exception
Honestly please tell me this is bait.
Billy should have anhero before dookie was released
> any 'sod album is god teir
How old are you
Glassjaw - Worship and Tribute is always the best. It's just flawless.
>There are more bad metal bands than there are bad literally every other types of bands combined
patently false, bad metal is bad or whatever, but in a world of lorde and katy perry, to make this claim is sheer hyperbole
Have you ever been to a show with a bunch of Katy Perry wannabes trying to make pop music? It actually takes much less effort to be a shit tier metal band than it does to be a shit tier pop artist.
lorde is utter shit she makes me want to take off and nuke the place from orbit because its the only way to be sure. at least katy perry is tolerable if you turn down the volume to zed.
>pop artists have been killing it
yeah, they've been killing tolerable art and music. '80's pop was annoying then, but at least they were actually talented musically, they could physically sing a note in reality. no comparison.
>metal has stagnated
all music has stagnated because of the people vs. the record industry. the record industry sucked, but it's kind of a pyhhic victory, because it's hard to find the really good stuff.
the market is flooded because every idiot and highschool band with a computer is releasing their shit as though it's legit. so if you want to find something decent, you gotta swim through an ocean of shit. and the good stuff that is out there, a lot of the time doesn't get its optimal exposure/production.
That's not how that song goes.
Don't make it bad
Take a sad song
And make it better
The minute you let her into your heart
Then you can start
To make it better
Nice try though.
>metal bands are in every fucking town
no, wrong again. what is in every fucking town is a fuckton of fruity loops 'rappers', and 'producers' who think they are the next kid wayne and dedmouse, and call themselves 'artists'.
which would you rather have really?
Metal bands, for sure. But rappers and "producers" can stay in their basements.
I really like metal. Well, Meshuggah and Dillinger and like, Pantera.
But they write songs, most bands don't.
All you said was
You left out everything. Should I quote more of 'Bring Your Daughter to The Slaughter'? You can find a lot of retarded lyrics in Beatles songs, but for the time, they broke ground. Bring your Daughter to the slaughter came out in the early 90s. It helped to kill metal. It was just careless. They wrote that down and said, "that sounds good".
to add, the difference between the industry back then and now is that back then the execs were clueless old dudes, so a lot of stuff got through to major label release that was kinda odd or off because they didn't know any better--basically a few freaks who were actually really talented and real artists slipped through the cracks and got put out there among the usual generic pop stuff...now the execs think that they know 'what the kids want' and that's what they are going to shove down everyone's throat with a vengeance, because their profits are a fraction of what they used to be so they are desperate to get a return and it's just devolved into simulacra of simulacra.
All I said was the last 3 odd minutes of the song, unless you count nananas as lyrics and yes the Beatles have plenty of terribad lyrics but unlike Maiden are held in high esteem the world round.
Like I said in my first post, cherrypicking is great and like statistics you can use it to fit whatever narrative you're telling.
Now they're clueless 90's dudes with tattoos and less money management skills. Don't worry, recording is cheap with this computer. Oops, this microphone has gold inside now.
I swear to fucking christ musicians will always be poor.
>ooh ooh you cherry picked too
No shit sherlock
That was a great song in your opinion, I can't stand it. Basing lyrical capability off a cherry picked example is retarded but here we both are on /b/ so it's fitting.
the governments have been actively discouraging musicianship and the arts for decades now, and the computer (as an instrument, not as a recording device) is a prime example of it. soon music and the arts that aren't state/industry sanctioned will be all but eliminated. people used to be able to make a living (a poor one, but still) off of playing music in house bands 50 years ago, now it's hardly possible to find a practice space, if you aren't affluent, or have a lot of disposable income, let alone make money with it. when the majority is relegated to apartment life, the band/instrumental format will be all but a memory.
Haha, nah dude, people use the computer as an instrument because it's available. I play drums.ive been playing since I was basically a toddler. I didn't have a real kit till I was 10. And that's because I really wanted it. Now people can make music on the cheap. The best of the actual best will be on the charts.
>people use the computer as an instrument because it's available
it's increase in availability as an instrument is one small part of an agenda
>Now people can make music on the cheap
they've always been able to do this. it's effective mass distribution (and influence on the mass mind/culture and contribution to the collective arts) that's the thing.
>The best of the actual best will be on the charts
sadly, no. musicianship and being on the charts have had very little to do with one another for a long time (and studio musicians, which are a dying breed, don't get credit anyways).
