Tony Blare and Gordon Brown took the UK to the edge of going bankrupt. Gordon sold all of our gold, was borrowing so much that we went over 52 billion in debt. Not only that but when the torys got in after Gordon, labor had left a note for the new tory treasurer saying "Sorry, all the moneys gone" - So the torys did a load of cut backs to save money and pay our debts - 12 years later, still in debt, people hate the torys for cleaning and still cleaning labors mess - If labor get in were fucked

The tories have repeatedly failed to achieve anything they set out to.

Their aggressive austerity measures have meant they've had to borrow more money.
>>
>>734455268

Socialism isn't all about paying the jobless.

The NHS is literally socialism in action. Would you prefer to pay to use healthcare, like the Americans? 5k for asthma, 50k for a broken knee, £500k for cancer, etc.

I hate to break it to you, but if you like the NHS, you like socialism. And if you don't like the NHS, well, you're retarded.

There are aspects of socialism which are flawed as there is with any political structure. So really you're all right. The NHS is great but things like the welfare state need a serious reformation before they become good and fair to all.
>>

It's not working because the tories are running it into the ground so they can claim it's not working. Out-sourcing to private companies cost the NHS more.

I don't like the NHS. It's dangerously underfunded.

As a former paramedic who left and became a criminal barrister I can only describe the current NHS situation as a shambles due to money wasted on patients that don't deserve treatment.

I am in favor of health insurance, perhaps then people would only seek treatment when necessary, not due to self inflicted problems such as deug abuse.
>>
>>734455952
The NHS arguably hasn't worked since the 80s. It's not a case of "needs gibs", it's a structural problem in that it literally just doesn't not work well. It is fundamentally flawed from the ground up. Throwing money at it is just compounding the issue. Any damage the tories did to the NHS in the last 5 years is pissing in an ocean of problems.

The IRA wasn't always a terrorist group though. My grandad was a member before it got all fucked. I'm willing to bet Corbyn didn't meam the IRA in it's latter form. I could be wrong liie I havent checked it out too much but is he fuck a trrrorist sympathiser. You're talking out your arse if you think so. >>
>>734453881
any more Edinburgh?
>>
>>734456222
While there's an element of what you're saying happening in the NHS, it's simply not the bigger issue. The NHS is fundamentally flawed and needs rebuilt. So much stupid shit is funded and protected within the NHS, job roles that are filler-ish and not important are being given priority over the jobs of paramedics, GPs, and surgeons, all in the name of keeping people on as little pay as possible. A skilled surgeon should not have to go private because a midwife wants to reduce her hours to 30 from 40, causing an issue in the ward she was working in, and necessitating a new job role. But that kind of shit is happening all over the country.

True.

It's funding and budget has INCREASED exponentially in the last 15 years, yet problems are more and more prevalent. This is because the way the NHS is run simply doesn't work. If money were the issue, it would be running smoother.

But it's not just free. We can also have premium healthcare via private practices if we want to pay for it, so actually, we have the best of both worlds. Free for those that can't afford to pay, and premium for those that can. Removing the free option won't make private healthcare any cheaper, so what's to gain?

I didn't argue for a system like the US. Where did you get the impression I wanted that?

The NHS doesn't need improved, it needs rebuilt. It was never meant to cope with the population we are seeing now, nor with the situations our GPs and doctors find themselves in with a rapidly diversifying list of patients.

>Free

It's NOT free. Tax payers pay 9-12% of their wage in National Insurance that goes in to a fund that was once to provide social benefits, but now provides 75%-80% of the NHS funding.

Those on benefits? They also pay NI out of their benefits. Essentially, if you're claiming on the NHS and on EESA, DLA, UTC or PIP, you are taking tax payers money, who are paying your NI contributions with their taxes.
>>
>>734457471
they are implimenting a need for new recruit cops to have a degree level education , for nurses the training they recieve is a degree in itself and they dont progress further with training unless they pass these exams , so hes correct ,,,, sort of
>>
>>734457471
They are considering bringing in a degree for policing but I don't think it'll pass because it'll cost and only lower the number of police currently from it's already too low number.
>>
>>734457439

What it needs to do is start petitioning the other EU nations for renumeration upon treating their citizens, and it has started to do so recently. It also needs to refuse treatment to non-eligible people, and to separate mental health treatment from GP practices, and a load of other things, and as you say most importantly removing a fuckload of the unnecessary managerial positions that have cropped up recently. But this election isn't about how to improve the NHS, it's about whether we want to keep it or not, and I hope you can agree it's worth keeping, even if it does need major reform in places.
>>
>>734457694
In England and Wales they're making a requirement to have a degree by 2020.

Again, I simply do not accept that the NHS funding is the issue. It's the way it WORKS that's the issue.

Look at what happens in an immigrant friendly area. 40 Poles/Refugees move in to a community, with a local GP surgery. That GP surgery currently does not have nurses or GPs that speak polish or arabic. Therefore, that ONE practice now has to employ a multilingual nurse and GP specifically to deal with immigration. You can't just say "Here, speak our language!" because NHS policy guarantees a doctor or nurse that speaks YOUR language. Now, the wage for that Nurse and that GP costs the NHS, in this one practice, potentially 70-90 grand a year.

Picture this happening throughout the country. Shit like this is why the NHS isn't working.

Gold star for you petal
>>
>>734457968
I didn't claim that, you moron. You're the guy claiming the NHS is free, when it isn't. It's not largely tax funded, it's NI funded, which is a separate fund.
>>
>>734457968
National Insurance has increased a lot since it begun being used to fund the NHS, actually.

you have to be 18 to use this site, back to 9gag with you

I can see your point but I disagree.

Police exams are too easy. I have seen so many videos off unlawful searches that could have prevented if the Officer have taken the time to study PACE Codes of Practice.

A degree in criminal law would be the only useful degree.

but he chooses to protest the idea with known murdering filth instead of people whom arnt attached to guns and bombs , he doesnt seek the people who could make the difference and bring them into the light , he chains himself to a fence with wastes of skin like adams .... this demonstrates his distaste which is his own but what a way to do it ? imahgine if you will murdering rag heads and may asking them to pop along to parliment , prehaps have may protest against the government with hard core islamic nutters ? its unimaginable and retarded to even say it .... thats what corbyn is , now humour me and imagine a policy is created thats going to royally fuck us up , can you see him saying errrr we have had a think about it and decided its not the best idea ! can you see the cunt backing down from anything , being nothing but a blinkered hinderence to us all ,,, the torys have taken shit for floating ideas and then when people shout cunt backing down ,,,, i want more of that ,,,, without torys though

The NHS only guarantees somebody to speak your language because of EU regulations, soon to be gone whether we vote Tory or Labour. I agree that it's ridiculous. I've lived in a few countries throughout Europe and nowhere else seems to give a fuck about that rule anyway.

Any newport sluts?

I want a blue peter badge instead.

>>734458414
It was a rule written in to the NHS fundamentally, I believe. I remember reading about it long before the free movement of people.

How can you look at that and not blame immigration and foreign aid?

I mean, I'm no right winger, but I don't appreciate paying the highest taxes I've paid in my 15 working years going elsewhere while people are starving on our streets

I have no degree however I sat the National Investigators exam last year.

I came 18th out if 745 applicants.

I do not have a degree but my point is that law can be studied without needing a degree.

>£1000-2500 council tax a year
>£30-500 road tax a year
>£140 a year to watch TV

>People still starving
>People still killing themselves
>Kids still dying
>No houses for brits

Honestly, why do Brits defend this?
>>
>>734458772
Anything can be studied without needing a degree, but you have to set a benchmark somewhere.

I like it. However the police force is so stretched at the moment it, lowering the successful applicants would cause the forces to be spread too thinly.

Daily reminder Corbyn is an idealistic well meaning but deluded moron, who refuses to denounce terrorists, will fold during Brexit negotiations and wants to remove our nuclear deterrent (because nuclear subs with no nukes are just as effective as nuclear subs with nukes right?).

If you know all of this and still want to vote for the man, you are deluded and need to get a reality check. The man means well, but he will not get things done.

I do not like the conservatives, I hate most of their policies but I will still vote for them in the upcoming election with the express reason of getting Brexit right.

I don't think people realize HOW important Brexit being a success is; we are on the tipping point people, there is no skulking back to our little warm safe flesh sack to let the undemocratic leach of the EU hook us back up to the life sucking machine.

We have made the decision to leave and that is final, so buck up, grow a pair and vote for the candidate that will actually do a half decent job of the most important political event of our generation.

This is for Britain, this is for the British People. Follow your own socialist ideals and do whats right for the many for once and not whats best for your little Corbynista cult of personality.

Vote Conservative this election, just so we have a smigion of a chance at Brexit.
