This is why comic book superheroes arent very diverse. well her gun builds up damage, and if you have less than 400 health and crap aim, you're gonna have a bad time. tele is a better mercy ult, because when placed well its much better than a mercy rez because she doesn't bring you back into the line of fire. on attack, she serves the purpose of a quasi genji. she melts healers and DPS but has trouble if she has to deal with more than one person at a time.

for the most part she's balanced by 200 health, short engage distance, and no movement abilities. also they capped her tele to a limit of 7

If we assume you're playing a team of equal skill, not quick match or arcade widowmaker is not a very good pick.

A sniper has to be balanced weaker than all other champs for gameplay to remain intact, especially for a game like Overwatch.

For example
McCree: 2 rounds per second, 70 damage (140 dps)
Headshots: 280 Damage

Widow: 1 round per 1.25 second, 120 damage (96 dps)
Headshots: 240 Damage

Widow is a worse headshot sniper than McCree!
