Yes, prayer has worked for me. I hate putting in those terms though. It's not like "I pushed this button and made someone do my bidding."

Saying it "worked" is more like it brought me closer to God, I think it helped me understand God better, and although I believe God knows my prayers I accept that what I ask for isn't always the best outcome. And when prayers aren't answered in the way I wanted, I have an easier time seeing why they weren't.

On a side note, through prayer I have found myself in a position to help answer other people's prayers - sometimes anonymously, sometimes not. But I am definitely more aware of ways I can help someone else.

I don't imagine my comment will change anyone else's viewpoint but it is my experience.
