Rules: If this thread contains any screenshot of a game you've played, you lose. If you lose, you contribute by adding another screenshot of a game you've played in your childhood.
Hardmode: You can not post popular titles like Super Mario, Legend of Zelda etc. Find a game you think /b/ has a hard time relating to. All games posted must have a release date before 2002.
Only problem is game titles are usually in the filename
Well that's a bit of a strong start, don't ya think?
Bunch of yall just lost this round.
I remember fucking up my save game during this battle.
i don't know how many played this chinese bootleg
This makes no fucking sense. If people had to step up they'd have been posting far too obvious titles and you would have lost. The fact you haven't lost means people are doing a good job of posting titles you haven't played.. fucking wot
This is a difficult one that i doubt any of you have played!
Played this when it came out, haven't thought about it in years
One of my favorite PC games ever. I still replay it often.
Really loved that game, legend of kyrandia: hand of fate if i recall well. Here's another classic.
One of the last games from Molynyeux
Rip in peace. Too bad he stopped producing video games in the nineties
I loved Blast Corps.
That's an insane amount if that's accurate. Are you playing constantly with friends or something? The campaign was long, but not 10,000 of gameplay, long
I probably played maybe 40 to 80 hours back in the day. Did the missions and played with the lads on the local LAN.
You might like Supreme Commander.
had to start the old machine in DOS prompt to even run this bad boy
That's only 416 days worth of gameplay for 15 years worth of existence.
As a middleschooler/highschooler I would sit in my room and built massive fortifications out of defenses, pit every AI against me, and have tiny forces. I was also nuclear-proof and tried to see how long I would last. I had some days lasting upwards of two weeks.
I'd commonly play pokemon gold while doing this.
After that phase, I started playing on Game Ranger a lot.
That was called Holy Magic Century over here. Never knew anyone else local that played it.
Couple of kids at school thought I made it up and it wasn't real.
They weren't smart kids.
Same, and Dungeon Keeper
Yeah, I usually forgot what direction I was walking in the overworld after a battle because I was very 5 years of age
if you haven't played this one, download it now and enjoy, it's very well worth it.
You cheeky bastard, I totally thought I was gonna win.
Anyone remember this one?
>hint; the environment is voxels
What do you mean really? Fuckers in here posting fucking Final Fantasy, Tetris, Bubble Bobble, GTA, Kirby and Runescape but god forbid a console exclusive I doubt as many people have played.
Am I the only one who played this?
I used to play Warcraft. The original Warcraft on DOS.
this was back in the day, before most people had internet. Long before smart phones and tablets, when PCs were rare to own. I would sit for hours and hours, day after day playing games, and I would get into the story and on many of the missions, I would play long after I had won the game, and cut all the lumber in the entire map, mine all the gold, and build up huge towns and cities for fun.
Anyone else play this?
Delta Force 2. I remember it fondly. I played the entire series until they took the servers offline. My favourite has got to be Delta force Joint operations. way ahead of it's time and a fantastic multiplayer experience
Anyone know this?
Free..fucking..Lancer, by far the best space-sim to play on the Discovery server...exploring the outer regions, grabbing level 10's, heavy duel's with full geared players...god i miss it
these rules make no sense but ill post something no one knows but these games were fucking awesome
spent a significant portion of my childhood playing this
Arx, yay, i played through it a couple of times last year.
Underground games are fucking comfy. I must've been a dwarf in a past life or something.
Here's the char I made on my second playthrough, he was insanely powerful.
indestrutable stealth armor, +2 dex inut bow, 30 dex char 170 ranged skill
my skills and stats, other ring is +1 all stats
My first charachter was weak compared - meteor sword and some shield from a quest shield of ancients i think and that cultist armor was.
My bow guy, I could just hide in the shadows and sneak attack rape people with poison arrows, most things died in 1 shot when I was maxed out.
I played it a lot because of how comfy it was in the underground setting, played it in winter also.
post your totals boys
Ahh you might be right. It has been a very long time since i last played it. Yeah freelancer!
Disabling H-fuel freighters on the way to reinland and charging them an escort fee for the rest of the journey just to destroy them just outside new berlin and steal all we could carry after payment - pro tip never trust pirates. used to play on the hamburg server a long time ago. I agree it's still the best space sim i've ever played. Let's hope robert doesn't fuck star citizen up even though it's going to be a while
OMFG TEAM BUDDIES
You just made my day, I'm getting an emulator tomorrow just to play that shit. I remember asking my mom: "mom what does "fucking bastard" mean" (I'm euro-fag so didn't speak englando then lol.
Yeah, i'm hoping on as well, I have good hopes for Robert but the Star Citizen project is so over the top with what it wants to be (AAA title with an enormous game universe). I'm honestly afraid it'll be a failure.
Right? I wish he just set his eyes on expanding on what freelancer already had, it was a sound universe with alot of potential, and i agree what he's building is way over the top but imagine what it'll be like if it actually works out. Revolutionary! Pray to pepe
There was an old DOS sidescroller with 4 or 5 dwarfs that you would control, each had special abilities and one of them could fart. Anyone know what I;m talking about? I've been looking for it since forever.
I did play this game when I was younger, had to be around 12 or 11, I'm 20 now so no b&, but that game has been around forever, it was actually great and the people were cool too
holy fuck bro
hogs of war, i remberber i've grinded this game for hours bro
can't wait till the one other person that played this game responds to me
bioforge, i had that installed on my laptop and working but never got around to playing it lol
i don't seem to play anything anymore, i just sit here depressed and can't do a thing
yeah i think people who say it's great still are looking at it through rose tinted glasses because they played it as a retarded kid when it was new
it's a bad game, the units don't compliment eachover and can't be used strategically.
I played it and just found summoning the most OP unit just raped everything else, can't remember what it was called, James' (the earthworm guy) some long ranged expensive unit that raped everything, that's when i stopped playing, literally all my other units that i could summon were pointless and dog shit to make after that lol.
HOLY SHIT! I thought I was the only one that played this!
What game is this? It seems cool.
I know someone that hasn't and it's not even interested on playing it.
Just look at this fucking beauty. Anyone?
Lost. Took a full 5 minutes for my computer to load that game from its intro screen, but twas great.
This was the absolute shit of my childhood. Best LAN fun I've ever had.
is that icewind dale?
that's the only bioware old dnd game i haven't played yet, i played bg1 and 2, and nwn1 and 2
never icewind dale, if i played it now i'd download the new enhanced edition i suppose =/
one thing's for sure, it had a much better story than Mass Effect 3!
Anyone else feel like they don't have enough time for games anymore?
Even though I'm a NEETbux guy with all the time in the world.
Now that I have to get my own food and do laundry and shit it's like I've lost the will to do anything at all.
I played this, but can't remember the name of it.
SHIT, totally forgot about Zoombinis, fun game. Here's mine.
Not in my case though. And when the expansion pack got released it was like a God just reached out and said "son, you are about to learn today". Too bad the expansion made the game easy, but hey that is why we got mods around. Russians still develop mods for it, so the community isn't dead just yet.
Love this game, still one of my favorites of all time.
Anyone play this game? No one ever knows when I ask about it.
PC Gaming Master Race. The 90s was such a good era for gaming. Back before MOBAs ruined the entire RTS genre, and EA ruined the C&C series and now we only have Starcraft and Dawn of War.
Before Image Limit was reached I was going to post Alpha Centauri.
