Your Veg time is different and you have more lumens from the sun plus it's a full spectrum. The idea with indoor is you can get product faster by making it smaller and reducing your flowering time. The idea is you are getting more harvesting periods indoor then outdoor which only has 3 harvest seasons if you are boss.

It's called super cropping. It's when you break it about halfway in the middle and you put black electrical tape with some clonex to get the steam to mend together again. No take it off after 2-3 weeks after initial break. I mean it's like a bandaid. They just don't thrive at 60-70 RH like they do at 30-40 indoors in winter with nothing else to eat. I always get a few aphids in summer and manage them easily with soapy water. I had them in winter once and they were unstoppable got 3oz from a 250 and it was all covered in aphids. I kept killing them and 3 days later it would be infested again. That's the other reason I don't bother with lights now.
