PS4 pro has 60fps support for some games and will stutter less during heavy graphics for all games that support it. The Last Guardian sucks on the base ps4 but is amazing on the pro

Not if you're not playing it a lot. I got mine on launch day, and i've been on it pretty much everyday since.

It's been about 2 and a bit years and I haven't run into a single problem with it. It should do fine.

That being said, the base PS4 might run into some problems with games in a few years, so the pro isn't necessarily a bad idea.

Yes get a Pro. All games will be better on it somehow. They'll either get increased resolution, better AA, more effects, better framerate, etc.

It's true that the benefit is bigger and the purchase is much easier to justify if you have a 4k TV cause games will look much better there, but you still get benefits on a 1080p screen. You still get the better performance and effects, and most games with increased resolution downscale to 1080p giving you a supersampled image with much better IQ and sharper textures.

How exactly is it better for those games? The ps4 won this round. There are plenty of addons you can get later, like psvr. Last of us 2 will be out this year, exclusive. Both have streaming capability. Ps4 also has ala cart cable channels. You could dvr premier league soccer and only pay a few bucks rather than 150+ for cable.
