There's like a thing in my family where everyones teeth feel out around 23-24, and that's with proper dental hygiene.
Since mine are still here I've been taking care of them, never had a whole lot of cavities or any thing, and there decent size and orientation, just a bit yellowed.

I used to have a big gap between my front teeth. Men in my family tend to have them. Dad and brother both do. I had the option of braces but it wasn't that big a deal. I got sucker punched my freshman year and it knocked my front two teeth together, it knocked my teeth straight.

And my teeth are fairly yellow from daily pot smoking, chewing tobacco, and a lot of coffee. I do use a whitening toothpaste which may help somewhat (or not), but it's not worth the extra trouble of getting professional bleaching or anything like that.

There's no work that could even be done to fix those. Best you could do is stop the infection (and that level of infection could be soon fatal bro), remove em all, and start new with a fake set.

I recommend oil pulling guys, it is amazing. That and a paste of hydrogen peroxide and baking soda. Fluoride is toxic just research it yourself.

It must be mostly just good genetics for me. I barely brushed as a kid yet never had a cavity in my life and my teeth have all grown in aligned. In my teens though got into my own dental hygiene because I had developed gingivitis. Healed it with oil pulling. That plus the baking soda/hydrogen peroxide paste is all I use next to flossing. My teeth are healthy af now, and my wisdom teeth even grew in aligned with no problems. Now I'm in my mid20s and my supernumerary fourth molars are growing in too and that shit is rare. Fucking have 36 teeth it's weird but just glad my teeth are good so whatever.

Some people have a far thicker layer of enamel on their teeth which means it takes far longer for food acids and bacteria to make a mess of them.

Some people genetically tend to have almost no enamel or a very thin layer. These teeth quickly get cavities, rot, and decay; even with proper maintenance.

Luck of the genetic draw, it tends to run in families.

But I will say this much, you can get away with a daily brushing, but not less. I had 2 roommates over the years with bad teeth, and despite them saying they took care of the teeth, they weren't commonly known to brush (and other aspects of their hygiene were equally questionable).

First I floss and scrape my tongue. I keep a little box of baking soda just for my bathroom, I just wet my tooth brush and dip it in. But I use an oral b electric one though, so it's pretty small. I would guess like a half teaspoon of baking soda and like equal amount of hydrogen peroxide. I just squirt a few drops in my mouth, than proceed to brush.

I do this every morning after breakfast. Once a day is fine, it is pretty abrasive so be sure to rinse well with warm water. I will rinse with warm water and baking soda throughout the day when I get the chance, usually after meals. I do the above mentioned routine again but I dilute it with warm water, because I oil pull before bed. That's 20 mins of swishing with coconut oil. The science behind is it that it pulls toxins from the gums/blood.

Moral of the story is I'm in this boat too. I wish I had taken better care of my teeth but I'm glad I'm not the worst one here. I can still drink sodas, and eat unhealthy without it hurting my mouth. I just feel like I'm a few bad nights away from making them beyond that.

I'm admittedly afraid to go to a dentist, not super embarrassed but a little none the less.

Now I do my best to brush at least once a night and if I "forget" to do so in the morning. It's keeping them like they are at least.

And when I was young, and already had 2 adult front teeth, My brother pushed me onto the corner of a wooden bed frame pushing my two front teeth up, and out.... severly miss-aligning them.

Then over time, one got cracked from a spring catching me in the mouth, and the other... just got an unexplained VERY painful hole in it.. so I had them pulled.

I hate dental work and pain, so even with dentist offering to pull the other two fucked up front teeth and giving me a partial denture with good, clean, straight teeth to fix my smile... I don't go, and it isn't an issue of money, because I have good insurance that will cover it almost all.

So much this. I am terrified of the dentist and a gl popular guy in general but I always hated my teeth. Typical poor kid, parents didn't push brushing and hygiene much so I started at like 21 myself. I've had a few rear molars fall out over time from old fillings. One day I had a piece of my front tooth literally fall off and I was just done. I made an appointment and have been having everything addressed and the Weight it lifts is indescribable. Ive been brushing twice a day and flossing for years and years now and overall things are somewhat ok. I even opened up to a critical friend once about getting veneers and he asked me what the he'll was wrong with me teeth and that made me almost want to cry. A lot of this is in my/ your head unless your teeth are really fucked.

Whatever you choose to do just face your fears now and thank yourself later for living free.
