I'm rationalizing it. Even if it's pure 1984, in the end, it's the Trump administration's way of keeping a hold of his power and defeating the media.

It's highly unethical (mainly because I'm way too much of a fag to respect lies), and a very dangerous path to take - it gives Trump a LOT of sway (i.e. power and authority), with which he could very easily do whatever the fuck he wants, be it war or very self-serving or short-sighted policies.

OR - it gives him the power to make a lot of change and actually make the country great again. Who the fuck knows.

In the end, it's Trump being Trump - displaying a lot of strength and ability to make things happen (be it for better, or WAY, WAY WORSE). It does worry me because I do actually care about little things like, you know, fascism and the like.

But I can see why this appearance of strength and control is popular right now - it's a pretty crazy world right now, with a lot of changes in the air, and people want a strong leader. I just hope that he's ALSO a better man than he appears to be, and that he hands back the reigns to the people after his 8 years in office. Otherwise, we're wide open to some very, very bad leaders.
