Bob's Burgers is hilariously unfunny and the art style sucks.

This was just a monster of the week show, shit designs on them too, and each ep had no weight.
Not that we always need continuity, but when the plot is in episode 1 of the season, and not again till the final two eps of the season, and every one of the 20something eps inbetween is identical in structure, its just bad lazy writing
also, since its famous for how little movement it had; using lots of still images and recycling cells of the characters faces, background, and whole sequences like the transformation, tuxedo's introduction, weapon shit.. its just lazy animation. Meant to pump it out fast just to be consumed.

its not lolsorandom, but it was just disconnected adventures, unique humor from subverting expectations or doing something you didnt expect, and just charming.

after a bit there was a lot of worldbuilding that was hinted to but never confirmed
then theyd confirm some but open more cans of worms
Never really focused on that stuff; it was more just the audience putting together very hidden details to figure out character histories.

And you know nerd audiences.. Give them Slice of Life shit with continuity and theyll turn it into a religious fandom.

Honestly it just got better and better, but sort of recently, like a year or two ago, they went all out confirming histories and focusing a bit on tying things together. Its gonna end soon, so maybe they wanted to get all this stuff done with instead of more hints.
Thats not what the show used to be and i can see loving it or hating it for that reason.
Also, it got a bit pretentious-artsy a few times recently. Usually it handled subtle metaphor well but lately its like art-school level.

Ill put the shoddy cgi integration aside since its dated
but the lack of effort put into this movie is astonishing. Youd think D put quality into their old shit but lots of backdrops and especially the background characters look like amorphous potatoes. Some of the facial features are so jumbled and malformed that it looked like a picasso. They only focused on the main characters and the stuff the eye is supposed to look at, but something at my job had us dissecting this movie and honestly i was really disappointed in the lack of effort.

Good thing there's going to be another season with 140 episodes. Hopefully CN realizes their mistake and the animators finish their shitty steven universe for a clearly superior, already established fanbase for AT.

This was appalling
Beautiful, if also just uneventfully boring, nearly photo-real landscape that looked like gorgeous Alaskan mountains; the kinds that inspired Bob Ross.

Juxtaposed to it was the shitty cartoony solid color simple looking dinos. Holy shit, nothing has ever clashed that hard even in mixed medium animation. And they were so ugly and hard to look at.

Toss onto it a basic story, dialog so remedial its like someone reading a toddler-demographic childrens book that has one line per page and 10 pages total, and the fact that somehow this is a Pixar movie, and its one of the most baffling things ever released.

Pixar got some crap, but nothing at this level. Id rather watch a dreamworks piece of trash.

Adventure Time was about an autist frolicking with a talking dog, you dipshit. There's a story arc in SU that covers Pearl's secret resentment towards Steven and the blame she puts on him for his mother's death. Meanwhile in Adventure Time, Finn and Jake try to get a horse to stop staring at them.

You clearly misunderstood the entire point of the show. It was a satirical take on Texas life and the Texas family. It wasn't just people doing mundane shit. Not to mention, the fact the show only gets better with age is what makes it even better. The older you get the more you can relate, which is the point. It was a show meant for the older crowd; a show that didn't have to be raunchy and sex filled for it to be considered adult.

Just because you never liked the show as a kid, doesn't mean the show wasn't good.
