I could feel like I am an Olympic track star. That doesn't make it true. I could pretend to be one and don track uniforms, even buy trophies for my room. The truth is the truth though. What you feel is important but it's not what really is. I don't feel like a man, I simply am one. I have come to terms with what I am and moved on. Hey I've been struggling with this for a bit wondering if anyone could give me advice.

I used to weigh 375 pounds, I used to not care about my weight at all I didn't care about anything. I had a car accident, was out for months, and I lost 75 pounds (not joking). I am now 297 pounds and I can't believe how much better I feel. I want to take losing weight seriously now that It's kind of been handed to me. I want to get to a normal weight.

My problem is all my weight loss was accidental, and forced, I'm fully recovered from the car accident I can move my body again and I think I could probably even start exercising (I made an incredible recovery, I'm very lucky) but I don't know how to change my mind.

My body changed before my mind changed. I've discovered how much better life is a 297 versus 375, and I can't imagine life at a normal weight it must be great. I want to keep losing weight now. I care now.

What's a mental exercise for being an authority figure to yourself? How do I, as the OP states, Fix my brain not my body. What can I do mentally to ensure I continue to lose weight?

Any advice is greatly appreciated
