They oppose the regulations in place on the government agencies they now lead. Anti-business is the main thing here. Trump wants to renew American industry and jobs and one way to do that is to cull some of the regulations that make business more difficult.

The scary part is that in the energy section that means the EPA will have to undo some environmental protective regulations to allow for more drilling/mining/industrial pollution. But it would ideally mean more money in the pockets of more workers.

my issue is with the quasi-religious opposition to regulations. If they have a problem with specific things we can have that conversation, but "deregulate it all!" is a dangerous mindset. It shows that they're trying to prop up outdated businesses that don't want to invest in the newer, safer, cleaner technologies.

Is "deregulate it all" a mantra of the Trump administration?

Anyways, I agree with your final argument. For me the biggest issue is losing jobs to overseas workers. In terms of national, local business models, yeah, updating should be encouraged. Especially when it comes to the environment.

It's so easy to roll back EPA limits and go back to a Chinese-level of pollution for cheap industry. But it's probably not the wise choice.

why are libtards to butthurt about a person of color being elected president?
>>
>>719816269
They didn't. I am a Hillary supporter who had many friends/acquaintances who either were Bernie Bros who went all 'NEVER HILLARY' or 'well... I'm still going to vote Trump' now fucking protesting.

It's genuinely hilarious, and I bet based Hill Dawg is laughing at them all too.

yes, one of his first executive orders gave departments authority to roll back any Obama-era regulation. Rick Perry and Scott Pruitt in particular, but also many of the lesser known ones, are self-proclaimed free market fundamentalists.

US maxes out on having the best healthcare in human history.

We alone fund all new medical research, poach the top doctors, and buy top notch equipment.

It's why poor socialist Canadians hop the border when they find a suspicious lump and their free doctor tells them to wait 6 months.

Why get rid of Trump? Cheney was shadow president for 8 years and he was able to undo everything Bill Clinton did perfectly well. And no one would even consider giving a slimy creep like Pence a second term, at least like 30% of americans seem to like Trump.

Forgot pic.

Also Medicare ends up standardizing care at that level and obfuscating the resulting costs. Break that up into a freer market and our poors can buy crappy healthcare instead of going bankrupt.

I guess that's why rural hospitals needed Obamacare grants to get to 1990s level modernity...

The NIH budget is about 3 drugs. That's what it could buy.

Federal funding helps with basic research, but screening compounds and getting non-thalidomide shit to market is entirely private sector.

>Who wouldn't want to be a millionare off seeing 1 patient a week?

Yes? We have the world's top talent becoming specialist surgeons, inventing cutting edge procedures because of that free market largesse.

>I guess that's why rural hospitals needed Obamacare grants to get to 1990s level modernity...

So Montana is roughly on the level of every run-of-the-mill single payer hospital. The US is a big place, kid.

>>719817716
Arbitrary. A hundred million people being able to pop boners is as useful as a million people beating cancer. Market pricing indicates usefulness.

No president has really ever run the country. The president is just a figure head that is puppeted by the CIA, NSA, and other organizations and corporations. They are actually the ones whom have always ran the country. The president just plays by their script.

Compare with Obama, who gambled all his political capital on the ACA, which failed and made him a lame duck for six years.

Sorry if I don't seem impressed by the drug companies' ability to develop boner pills and addictive painkillers while slowing cancer research by getting universities on board with their secretive patenting genes bullshit. The drugs that treat and vaccinate against serious illnesses were developed with private and academic dollars, however paltry they may seem.

>Yes? We have the world's top talent becoming specialist surgeons, inventing cutting edge procedures because of that free market largesse.
You're the one trying to make utilitarian arguments, having a low standard of care for all but those who can see the finest specialists is a bad thing.

>So Montana is roughly on the level of every run-of-the-mill single payer hospital. The US is a big place, kid.
The size of the US has nothing to do with our ability to provide quality care to the entire population. The average US hospital is objectively worse than the average French, Canadian, or Finnish hospital. I'm not impressed by arguments that the market has decided that regular peoples' lives aren't worth the expense or something.
