i explained it in the other thread. after i got this started i realized that i couldnt find the external harddrive i had my YLYL stuff on so ive had to resort to wallpapers that werent put on those drives. heres a sample of what i could find.

Dude, you should have submitted to agents straight away

You've restricted yourself with self-publishing, the books are "tainted" now. They're going to ask for sales figures, reviews and the like which you wouldn't have to amass if you went traditional publishing

In fact, if you've got though sales to impress an agent, why even need one? You'd be doing fine yourself without an agent and publisher getting cuts in your profit

Next time, write your book, hire a good editor, get the manuscript as good as can be and submit to agencies. Self publishing is a meme unless you're VERY good at marketing and social networking

i did. i had my stuff edited and submitted to agents for 2-3 years. th problem is that with the success of j k rowling and everyone trying to be her and the addition of NANOWRIMO the market is flooded. if someone told me i had no talent i mightve rethought thing but i heard NOTHING.... this is the progression of things

I've been there myself, sometimes the market just isn't ready. Best thing to do is gauge what's hot and write something new. Once you've got an agent and a publishing deal, they may be open to your other books
