i dont think white widow is a version of marijuana, though it could be in the future, but probably not

What's your game plan, rookie?
>>
>>719685800
Are you growing indoors or outdoors?
Indoors you're gonna need A LOT of information and even fucking more equipment... which will cost you also A LOT.
>>
>>719685800
You probably want to grow it

Might need some water
>>
>>719686321
Indoors, I've done some research. money isn't an issue going shopping for equipment this weekend.

I love it when you dirty casuals try to grow weed that is really hard to grow just because it's hip atm.

do some research, noob

pick appropriate lighting

don't let your lights get too close to the plants

don't let your lights be too far away from plants

make sure your soil drains well

don't overwater

don't use too much fertilizer

don't harvest too early

don't fuck up the curing process
>>
>>719686779
thanks
>>
>>719686779

cont'd

don't let nutrient solution pH get too extreme

keep an eye our for hermaphroditic plants, even feminized seeds can develop stamens and self-fertilize

don't plan on making bank when you're just starting out, shit is expensive

don't let your plant veg too long, or the stretch in flowering may exceed your space & lighting situation
>>
>>719687373
any recommendations on lights for veg stage and flowering stage? ty, also what's the recommended temp range for white widow.
>>
>>719687573
how many plants are you growing at once?
>>
>>719686486
don't smoke the merchandise you dumbass
>>
>>719687647
Probably going to do 2 or 3
>>
>>719687753
hey everyone needs an occasional smoke, i'm not a stoner.
>>
>>719687763
and only ever 2 or 3?

Because a 250w will do 2, but its at the edge of not enough, and a 400w will be enough for three with ease.

You can buy a hood, adjustable ballast and say a 400w metal halide conversion bulb, and a 600 or 1kw hps bulb and that should work for up to 6-8 plants depending on how long you veg, but if you only do the two, just set the ballast for 50%.

If you didn't get autos, you should just do one or two, and pull clones before you flip, save the other seeds for another time.
>>
>>719687977
Do i want light rods or will bulbs do for like 6 plants, would they need to be close to each other if I did bulbs? I didn't get autoflower just fem

In the past i was recommended a Hydrofarm t5 6500k for veg and a Agromax 3000k for flowering. good or no?
>>
>>719687977

you should just go lurk on /r/microgrowery and growweedeasy dahte kehm

>>
>>719687573

One of the most prevalent lighting setups is to use a metal halide (MH) bulb for veg, because they emit primarily blue light. Then for flowering, you would switch the bulb to a high pressure sodium (HPS), which emits red light. The red light, in combination with a 12hr light/12 hr dark cycle will mimic the Fall season and propel the flowering process. These bulbs will require a ballast for power, as well as an inline fan for cooling, because they get very hot.

You could also use compact fluorescents or tube fluorescents, but they are not as high powered and will not produce the same kind of yield.

I don't know a lot about LED lighting.

Light wattage depends on how many plants you want to grow.

A 600 Watt Lighting setup can probably provide illumination for 4 or 5 plants, give or take.

As far as a temp range for White Widow goes, I am not sure. A general rule of thumb is to keep your growing environment - warm (70's) - but not hot - and arid.
>>
>>719688803
i've been taking pics dw
>>
Sounds like you're doing a small grow OP. Google space buckets. Easy or as complicated as you want it to be, depending on your handyman prowess.
>>
>>719688467
t5 would be fine, but I dont suggest you go all in for ten different things right off the rip.

And I def think you shouldn't flower under a t5, you'd need at least a 4'x8 bulb for just two plants and thats going to take just as much wattage as a 600w hps setup for not nearly as much light.

1 600W bulb would almost certainly do the job if you're using a decent reflector, unless you're vegging the 4-5 plants forever.

I was being sarcastic, you fuck...

>>
>>719689456

Maybe 4-6 weeks.

Are your seeds feminized?

If some plants turn out to be male once flowering starts, you will be throwing those plants out & potentially wasting some of your space+light where a female plant could have been.

Something to think about.
>>
>>719689825
Yeah they're fem. I got lot of space to grow but it's in my basement. It's probably around 30 degrees down there so i'm going to need a bunch of heaters.

I heard burning candles is a good way to get CO2 to plants.
>>
>>719690114

I haven't heard this about candles, but I guess it might work. You'd need a lot of candles I think for it to make any kind of difference, especially for a 3-4 month grow cycle.

I have read that CO2 supplementation can be beneficial, but I personally wouldn't mess around with it for my first time.

I would wager that having good circulation around your leaves - by using fans - would provide adequate CO2 from the ambient air.

Perfect.
>>
>>719692507
What Information do you require?
Example. mh or hps ballasts dont do "3-4 plants"
A 600 w will provide adequate lighting for a 1.5x1.5 metre growing space, perhaps 120 cms high. beyond that lumen intensity is inadequate and prodces low yields.
>>

Looks fine. If you're thinking about bundling that with a reflector, I would suggest getting an upgrade from that basic light wing one.

Pic related, but I have a shade for it now, rather than the bulb just hanging down.
>>
>>719693993
ok cool, what strains do you work with?
>>
>>719693528
A marketing scheme I presume .
Any plant will be hungry for different nutrients at any given different stage in its cycle.

Nitrogen, potassium and phosphorus are the main ones to be concerned about.

I add silica as its essential but not present in hydrp nutrient due to it raising ph to inadequate buffering levels

Anything that takes my fancy. At the minute I've got 6 Bubblegum and one Northern Lights, last one was 6 Green Crack and 2 Girl Scout Cookies. Just buy some seeds - and a lot of seed companies will throw in a couple of free seeds - then take cuttings and grow just the best pheno for the next grow.
I tend to avoid Hazes as they generally have a long flowering period compared to most non-hazes.
I personally like the fruity ones. pic related was a good one.

okay, we talked a night or two back about several things. I mentioned I overwated a plant a week ago and its seem to be pulling through, which I think it has, but I am worried now the leafs are too far gone and I should just scrap the plan and get what I can from it now.

You also suggested an additive from a youkay site that I didn't keep the bookmark open from.

I've got a few more images from yesterday. The problem has stopped, but now I've lost around 30% of my leaf and wasn't sure to keep pushing through.

I am at week 6, the issue I had was over watering, and heat stress. I was hoping to push another week and then flush a week.

What say you?
>>
>>719685800

>>
>>719697513
I worded that wrong, I was thinking since so many of the leafs were damaged if the plant thinks it has to go into repair mode so I am wasting time.

We are at about 90% cloudy, so if I chopped, I would still dry/trim/cure the plant, just want to know if I am wasting my time going the next two weeks or not.

I could give you tips about outdoor growing but I've not once grown indoors.
In the UK indoor growing gets you better results but the last time I grew outdoors I had 2 7ft plants that had SO MUCH BUD... was fucking shit weed but there was so much of it that you would eventually get so high you were in a coma.

You've grown outdoors in the UK?
>>
>>719697308
That wasn't me the other night, but I'd prune all those damaged leaves. In that state they're probably using more energy than they're producing. No need to change your plan, even without those leaves there's still plenty of green to photosynthesize and it'll soon put out new leaves. Losing 30% of the leaf isn't a problem imo. I'm constantly cutting out leaf, thinning them out so that the light can penetrate.
