Being the most heavily scrutinized president in American history. Pretty much everything, all of his achievements and failures, which will be limited in nature because of inherent opposition from the political establishment, will be overshadowed by the depth and breadth of criticism he faces because of his words and temperament.
see his exceptionally thin skin, which causes him to cry like a little bitch whenever someone says anything that's not to his liking
these trumpanzees seek refuge into denial and safe spaces, ignoring reality and instead preferring comforting bubbles of bullshit where everything is the fault of mexicans and niggers and only THEY are the good and decent people, and all their failures are somebody else's fault
>>719658145 I'm not even Murican, but you little twits who don't understand that Obama inherited a fucking mess of a nation and made it a stable, basically fully employed great economic power in very unstable conditions really tick me off
You do realize that Russia is the world's greatest untapped market for economic expansion and free trade. If Trump engages in policies that focus on restoring diplomatic relations and breaking down trade barriers between the US and Russia, it will create enormous demand for American exported goods, which means more domestic production, which means more sustainable, decent-paying jobs.
>>719660444 >limited in nature because of inherent opposition from the political establishment
You know that Trumps biggest opposition is himself right? We're talking about the same man that failed to out-earn a trust fund, even though he started with a free million dollars. Do you know any businessmen that are incompetent enough to make less money than if they had done nothing?
What planet are you living on? Does anyone really look at Donald Trump and think "now there's someone who's easily manipulable"? In the past election cycle, the republicans had Jeb Bush, Ted Cruz, and Marco Rubio in the running. If you're looking for a puppet, you have made the wrong choice my friend.

Not sure what you're talking about, but Trump took an appx $200 million from his father and turned it into $3 billion, a fair assessment according to Forbes. He may not have out-earned the S&P, which by the way is pretty fucking hard to do considering there have been 4 major financial crashes since he received it, but he still did quite well.

Paul Manafort, who is heavily invested in Russia, becomes his campaign manager. 3 Days later Trump's stance on Ukraine changes. Meanwhile Manafort continues to meet with people in Russia. Leaks that Manafort was being paid millions by the Ukrainian puppet president come out, and he is fired. This can be seen in the dossier, as well as heavily reported throughout Trumps campaign. He too continues to meet with Russia while on Trump's team, and is in the dossier. Strangely, when Trump was later asked about Page, he said he didn't know him, even though he announced that Page would be his adviser. Interesting article on page here: http://www.politico.eu/article/the-mystery-of-donald-trumps-man-in-moscow-carter-page-phd/ In the interest of due diligence, I also tried to run down the rumors being handed me by the corporate investigators: that Russia’s Alfa Bank paid for the trip as a favor to the Kremlin; that Page met with Sechin and Ivanov in Moscow; that he is now being investigated by the FBI for those meetings “You are engaged in onanism,” said Leontiev, the spokesman for Rosneft and Sechin when I asked him if Page had met with Sechin. “It’s bullshit. Just bullshit. You need to understand who Sechin is to even ask this question. It’s hard to have a meeting with him at all. It’s absurd.” Close Associate of Sechin confirms his secret meeting in moscow with Carter page- Page 30 This was the meeting they decided to Trade trump dropping sanctions for 19 percent in Rosfneft

It was Burt who helped draft Trump’s foreign policy speech in April, and had been advising the Trump campaign, via Senator Jeff Sessions, on foreign policy.

Russia's economy is shit. The only thing keeping it afloat is their gas export to Europe, on which they have a monopoly. The reason they went balls out in Syria was to prevent the Saudis from building their own pipeline to Europe. Obama's gonna be a tough act to follow. He got a Nobel Peace Prize, then violated his own citizens' civil rights and bombed several different countries. Also tripled the national debt. I could go on like this forever, but you'd just say "Nuh-uh!"
Dude the one thing you're not getting is that in business the only thing that matters is the end result. 200m>>>>>3bn
He capitalized quite well off of his family name, and created a brand out of it. He levered that so well that starting a ton of businesses, even businesses that failed, improved his branding and increased revenue for the ones that were successful. Bankruptcy is viewed by the uninformed American public as a sign of failure, and the truth is, personal bankruptcy almost always is. But for businesses it is often used as a strategic tool; a financial vehicle through which one can quickly and relatively painlessly liquidate the assets of a struggling business, instead of continuing to lose money operating. Trump did this effectively. He figured out that you can't bat .1000, and that his own brand and name was more valuable than any individual business or entity. It's part of why he's a billionaire.
>>719668757 Surprise, trumptards don't understand economy. Another anon just explained it to you why trump debt and obama administration debt are two different things. Following your reasoning since the debt is the country's debt america is king of debt. How fucking autist are you? No need to cry.
You are just desperate. Also, Trump was always called king of debt. You are just showing how ignorant you are.
Stop proclaiming yourself a winner and take a walk outside mommy's basement.
Nice "no u!" argument. It's been almost 2 months since Trump's victory and you guys get more shrill with each passing week. It's almost like the memes about you being spoiled pussies are all true. Keep playing your role.
The country is set up so we can go into debt, in case of emergencies. Like a war.
It's not supposed to be routine. The $19 trillion national debt means every person in the country owes more than $150,000. We have to pay interest on that, it hurts our ability to borrow in an emergency, and worst of all it keeps growing. That debt is is the baby boomers stealing the future, by making their children and grandchildren pay for their excesses today.
>>719657814 being a mediocre president lacking in political influence on the hill. He's really not that big a deal. Focus on your state legislatures, folks. Those are the guys effecting your day to day lives.
>>719669355 Lol I bet you actually believe he's going to build a wall and deport the Mexicans.
He's already doubled back on the wall, saying maybe they can build less of a wall or no wall in some places, and deporting people is an expensive process that requires a ton of man-hours of work. If he actually tries to keep his word (don't worry, he won't) then he'll bankrupt the US trying.

Are you going to make a cogent argument, or do I have to dumb this whole thing down and start posting pictures of fancy shit he owns because he's rich and successful?
Debt? Who cares? If you were an idiot, you could argue that makes him worth 2bn instead of 3. It doesn't, because indebted business entities are only worth what the government can get for their assets in a bankruptcy sale. Bankrupting a business doesnt affect your personal credit, and your creditors cant come after your personal assets because your business owes them money.
But it comes back to my previous point. The bankruptcy of some of his businesses stems from the debt they accumulate. Every flashy, high-dollar enterprise he engages in increases his brand, whether it succeeds or fails. More people know his name and buy his products that are profitable.
I'm growing weary of this; if you have a point make it, otherwise I'm done here.
Let's forego the pejoratives and attempts are character assassinations. Trying to undermine someone's credibility is a really pathetic way to attempt to win an argument, and anyone who is reading what I'm writing can see that I'm quite clearly not retarded.
I'm not denying that there are plenty of people who are smarter than Trump, crushed the S&P 500 over that last 30 years and made way more money than he did. What I am asserting is that he made a fortune from what he started with in an unconventional and rather messy way. Rather than treating his business ventures as vehicles for efficiency and profitability, he capitalized on the fact that everyone already knew his family name. He got his hands into every high-visibility, high-cost enterprise he could find, and used them as a conduit to make sure everyone knew his name, which increased his future business prospects. Couple that with several enterprises that were quite successful, and that's how you get from 200m inheritance to $3bn in the bank and president of the united states.
Russia's economic woes are in part directly attributable to their getting the short end of the stick in UN trade agreements for the last 25 years. The fact is, there are a metric fuckton of people in Russia who all demand consumer goods produced by American companies, ergo an enormous market for growth in domestic production in the US.
These people will say anything, and I mean ANYTHING. If you disagree with them they'll call you a sexist, a liar, a racist! They will do whatever it takes, but you cannot let them get ahead. It's time to stand up above them and make america great again!
>>719672177 sure thing, your tears and constant whining on these daily threads totally proves that you are cool and Im mad no one is laughing at your retarded attempts to talk about politics when you dont understand shit, and no one can tell you are only doing this because of how mad you are that the candidate you voted for lost keep doing what you are doing, its totally working Hillary will be your president
No, I have made no assertions thus far about Trump's future efficacy as a politician. I am only asserting that he was a competent businessman; that he effectively hedged the risk of failure of his enterprises (the downside) against the marketing and publicity that engaging in big, flashy public ventures afforded him (the upside). Over the long-term, he did this at net benefit to himself, he is richer than he was when he started, and that makes him a successful businessman.
>>719672548 >i'm n-not mad y-you are! >accuses others of knowing nothing about politics and fails miserably to prove he does >still talking about shillary in a post who talks clearly about the future of trump presidency
>Be trump 2017 >Decide that america isn't profitable enough >Sell America to China >Realize China is communist nation >He loses all his wealth >Works as male hooker to survive >Gets picked up by Barack Obama >His ass gets destroyed by giant black dick
What I'm talking about has nothing to do with trust, although that's important in any business context. No, in terms of building his name and brand, Im talking about involving himself in many businesses and promoting himself in such a way that others in the business world view him as a person of means. Love him or hate him, there is no denying that in the business world, Donald Trump is not only wealthy but is a person through whom connections and inroads can be made. Everybody knows who the guy is. That's the thing about being popular and well-known, and for whatever reason; whether most people who know of you are endeared to you or alienated by you, it takes two to tango, and someone who thinks they might have something gain by working with you will find a way to rationalize doing so. But none of that ever happens without them knowing your name first. That's the big secret Donald Trump figured out early on; create an image of success for yourself by whatever means necessary, and guaranteed some group of people will flock to work with you and invest in you on that basis.
As far as lawsuits, I don't know how you can quantify what constitutes a "normal amount" of lawsuits, especially across different businesses, but I can tell you that almost every successful independent businessman has been sued at some point.
>>719674214 I said that following your logic america itself should be called the king of debt, you ran away. What the fuck are you talking about? That's six people that do what he does. I gave him one for free.
Trump being wealthy, that is most definitely debatable (it's being debated right now, even), and as for the connections and inroads, he's in the middle of a huge scandal for monitizing them right now (pay-to-play politics, Russian financiers, ect), so what exactly is left of the point you're trying to make?
