Does anyone know of any one/group that has similar style of music

I've seen them live three times and each was worse than the last. Daron is a shit guitarist and seemed blackout drunk every time he's on stage. They also like to stop their sets and spout political driver and kill any sort of mood the crowd had managed. Get better taste.

SOAD is back together, new album drops this year, and closest thing i can think of to the sound of soad (excluding scars on broadway, and serj tankian) would be maximum the hormone,

No one really sounds like them. I only saw them once when they were touring for Toxicity with Slipknot in 2001. It was a great show. Definitely a big part of my childhood.
